This truly worked as seen in my screenshot. I only hope MTN will not forget their long straw in my data pocket and zap the whole thing right before my eyes.
|
Seriously, if you want a budget tab, don't go near this. My wife has now given out the one I bought for her after the thing almost frustrated her. |
Just last Sunday, I recharged my line with N2,500 using the ZOTO App and got a cash back of N1, 250 which of course i can load as airtime on ANY line I desire. I introduced my wife to it and she made N1,000 cash back and you needed to see the way she dotted over me throughout that day.
|
I got one for my wife when Jumia had their fastest fingers promo around the Valentine's period for under 15k. The moment I got it and powered it up, the screen resolution was the first thing that seriously put me off. I only touch it whenever madam wants to show me something on it. That resolution is so damn old school. |
I woke up on Saturday, March 5, 2016 to receive a notification stating my Infinix Note 2 had received an OTA update of the Android OS version 6.0 (Marshmallow) ready for download/upgrade as seen in the screenshot below. I'd like to know if there's anyone out there that has done this upgrade. Be kind enough to tell us what the experience has been so far especially the cons. Thanks in advance.

Mind you, only PDF files can be sent at the moment. Send your office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) via other means.

pharaohmonch:Hi, pls where did you get that tyre rotation done? Kindly avail me with the info. Thanks. |
williesmith:That pricing is out of this world. |
Their data service is simply horrible to say the least. |
Glo definitely has some friendly data rates, but they need to improve on their network quality. Between them and Airtel, I often wonder which is worse. |
Between GLO and Airtel, I really wonder why they struggle for the position of Naija's worst network. It was a difficult task trying to load airtime last Friday so I could activate the BIS. And even when I finally succeeded, the browsing experience ever since has been frustrating. |
Latest OS update.
|
I already have the latest update, XUI 1.N.2.0 - 20160120 running on my piece after I received the update notification early this morning. No lags whatsoever. I particularly like the 3-finger down swipe to take a screenshot. The screen recording feature too is great.
|
abrahamsom:Not one lag since I updated to the latest OS version 20160112. |
What you need to bear in mind for you to enjoy this 6GB is the fact that the three (3) different APNs are meant to be used at/for different times/purposes. They include gloflat, glosecure and the blackberry.net APNs. 1. Switch to the blackberry.net APN when you want to use the BIS option, that is during the day or any other time before 12 am when the weekend plan is not meant to work. 2. Switch to the glosecure APN on Saturdays and Sundays as well as between 12am and 5am of the weekdays immediately after the weekend you activated the weekend plan. 3. If you leave the gloflat APN on during the day (especially weekdays), you run the risk of being on PAYU which will rely solely on your airtime which is why you'll experience airtime deductions. And for those who do not already know, you cannot use the GLO BIS on any android device not using the MTK processors. Smartphones from brands like TECNO, INFINIX and select SONY phones like the Xperia C4 are good examples of those that use the MTK chipset. To be sure, Google the specifications before you purchase any handset I hope this helps. |
I placed an order for my piece (16GB+2GB RAM LTE version) with the bundled tethered screen last Sunday night on Jumia for N36,930 and picked it up at their station on Tuesday morning. The protective case I use was ordered on Yudala for N1,200 cos I found that of Jumia to be unreasonably exorbitant. Mind you, I do ONLY cash on delivery for these online portals. I cannot tell too many stories. After setup, it was time for the software updates that kept rolling in since I was connected to a reliable WiFi. I took a gamble though because I'd read reports of people having battery drain issues after their updates. But my fears were allayed once I saw the last update, 20160112 which included a power management optimisation. I haven't had any cause for worry so far and must confess it's really a nice device. The large 6inch screen was the reason I sold my previous phone which had a 5.5inch screen. Now, online video streaming makes much sense. And the battery? OMG! It's really uber cool. As I type this portion, it reads 38% and the last time I charged it was yesterday morning. Though I must point it out that it most likely would have needed a recharge if I had been on a 3G connection. I just connected to the GLO network about 45 minutes ago. It's noteworthy to know that 3G connection drains much faster than when you're on WiFi. I'll be putting to test the LTE feature soon by shopping for a compatible network whose sim I can use. Most likely between Spectranet and SMILE. My advice? Go for the Infinix Note 2 LTE.

I wonder why people still bother themselves with this porting thing. For crying out loud, if a network gives you any issues, simply walk into any other network's shop and buy yourself their sim. It's not like sim cards still cost 20k. |
Hol' up hol' up |

Hi Feyi, based on our phone discussion, it's a 2007 GL450 model. You'll get to see this for yourself when you see the ride. It's a purely buy and drive ride. I assure you. |
