one of the greatest mistake the UAE (United Arab Emirates) Dubai has made was to allow inflows of people with questionable characters, looters, fraudster, Criminals, miscreants to make their city a settling base .. they thought it was a wise decision in getting outrageous inflow of money to burst their economy not knowing they were digging a daylight grave for themselves .... it's emanating it self now. The United Arab Emirates government has suspended Direct Employment Visa for Nigerians, as a result of the increasing rate of crimes involving Nigerians in the Middle-East country. . SaharaReporters reports that the UAE police are searching for more Nigerian nationals and conducting raids and arrests to get them jailed. Sources noted that this is the norm in Abu Dhabi particularly. . “We all are shouting that our country is bad, and that our government is not rising to our needs, which is true, but our reputation abroad is also fast declining due to our character. . Two weeks ago, some Nigerians killed one another for selfish reasons at Sharjah, and another one just happened here in Abu Dhabi, when some guys went to an Arab man’s house, killed him, his wife and took away a huge amount of money from them. . The UAE government is now tracking every Nigerian in Abu Dhabi and they have also banned every Direct Employment Visa from Nigeria until further notice,” the source said. . “For like one week, this city (Abu Dhabi) has been hot. They (the police) are just arresting anyone on sight now. There was a cult incident where Nigerian cult members hacked one another in an area in Abu Dhabi here. It is not easy. . As of yesterday (Monday), they have put restrictions on visas for Nigerians. For now, no work permit for Nigerians in UAE generally. The crisis started from Sharjah and last week in Abu Dhabi,” another Nigerian told SaharaReporters.

The ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja in a landmark ruling on Tuesday “restrained the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and its agents from unlawfully imposing sanctions or doing anything whatsoever to harass, intimidate, arrest or prosecute Twitter and/or any other social media service provider(s), media houses, radio and television broadcast stations, the Plaintiffs and other Nigerians who are Twitter users, pending the hearing and determination of this suit.” The ruling followed the suit filed against the government by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and 176 concerned Nigerians arguing that “the unlawful suspension of Twitter in Nigeria, criminalization of Nigerians and other people using Twitter have escalated repression of human rights and unlawfully restricted the rights of Nigerians and other people to freedom of expression, access to information, and media freedom in the country.” The court gave the order after hearing arguments from Solicitor to SERAP, Femi Falana SAN, and lawyer to the Nigerian government, Maimuna Shiru. The ECOWAS court held that “The court has listened very well to the objection by Nigeria. The court has this to say. Any interference with Twitter is viewed as interference with human rights, and that will violate human rights. Therefore, this court has jurisdiction to hear the case. “The court also hereby orders that the application be heard expeditiously. The Nigerian government must take immediate steps to implement the order.” The suit and the ruling followed the suspension of Twitter by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed after the social media giant was banned in the country for deleting President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) also ordered TV and radio stations to “suspend the patronage of Twitter immediately”, and told them to delete ‘unpatriotic’ Twitter. The substantive suit has been adjourned to July 6, 2021, for hearing of the substantive suit.

[quote author=wwwihy post=102048903]Hmm.. Yoruba people are smart and proactive, they want to sympathise as well as secure the position of COAS for their Yoruba brother. While Igbo people set their eyes to see what will happen after the demise of Attahiru, and Reno omokri telling Buhari on social media to select an Igbo man as new COAS. It doesn't work like that, to gain power in politics you have to be a politician. NEW YORUBA COAS LOADING.... |
Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has left out Samuel Chukwueze and Joe Aribo from his 24-man squad for an international friendly against Cameroon. Villarreal winger Chukwueze has been out injured after hurting his hamstring in the Europa League semi-final second leg against Arsenal. For Rangers midfielder Aribo, he seems to have been excused following a hectic season with the newly-crowned Scottish champions. Also trimmed from the squad are FC Porto left-back Sanusi Zaidu, Leganes’ Kenneth Omeruo, West Bromwich Albion’s Semi Ajayi, Almeria’s Sadiq Umar and Heartland goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa. Nigeria’s game against Cameroon is billed for June 4 in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. The fixture will be part of Rohr’s men preparations for their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign which begins in September. Nigeria is zoned in Group C of the qualifiers alongside Cape Verde, Liberia and Central African Republic.
