badinfluence: Cross river is relatively nice.. just brace up for the camp environment.. oily water and red sand. The soldiers were fair with us. Calabar is an expensive city sha, accommodation is on the high side. If you're a foodie, get ready to enjoy their local dishes.. lol. The developed towns in CR are calabar, ikom, ogoja.. state allawee is 3k, but you can get a really good ppa.. This is valuable, thanks. My biggest concern is the ppa, I really can't stand teaching, I've an ongoing project that I can work on remotely but teaching in a sec school will certainly not allow me such opportunity. Do you have any advice as regards Ppa? I studied Animal Science, I don't mind the income, just wanna lay my hands on anything useful and productive. |

agroronnie: I feel so depressed being told that i cant redeploy from kano back to abuja after camp cos am not married not even on grounds of health matters.
Honestly i dont see any value in being forced to suffer for one year and rendering almost free labour in return for peanuts. And being mistreated with all these unfair bye laws eg if i say am not doing nysc again i will be declared wanted, is that a joke? am not military, am a bloody civilian and would love to remain one. If there was no nysc in Nigeria, i would have been well on my way to the labour market, so that i can work take care of myself and family. Yet these fools are busy derailing people from their life plans and goals within the next one year in the name of serving father land. What has this country done for any of its citizens other than use and misuse their electoral and fundamental human rights. Gosh! Who even makes these rules, the worsť part is that all this nonsense falls within my ACCA exam period, this is just going to be a very depressing and sad 12months period. I am trying to get redeployed to nasarawa at least there i can try to look towards my second favorite thing...... agriculture :pomology... heard lands are cheap in nasarawa too and its closer to my family in abuja. So anyone who is getting to nasarawa b4 me pls keep in touch. Camping in kano first am praying so hard for march 2017 to come so badly i hope thats the pop period cos its dead depressing. Let me get that almighty certificate that without it you are not allowed to work and contribute to Nigeria's Gdp yet we wonder why gdp is sooo relatively low. I will never value nysc. Infact if i ever fulfill my political ambition am going to be one of those people pushing to scrap that failed program that these fools are acting like it was written alongside the 10 commandments and handed down to moses from mount sinai. I believe it will be scrapped one day. Imagine being forced to live far from your family in the name of serving fatherland. I will serve my own father not some fools running a supposedly cultural integrating program. Maybe they dont want to be unemployed like the rest of us thats why they wont scrap the scheme. Its so difficult for people in power to understand the plights of others, they just acknowledge the issue and do nothing about it..... it continues. Anyways everything that has a beginning has an ending. I feel your pain, seriously. I mean this whole shit is long due for review. If they can't scrap it, atleast make it voluntary. |

I Blv in miracles but this Bible big nao
Is this real ? Blv it bro. I was coincidentally in this town few days after it happened. It was a small Bible at the time of birth but the bible was increasing in size. The only mystery is that the baby was born into a Muslim family but CAN osun chapter took up the naming ceremony. The lady's landlord is a close guy to our daygaurd, who also is a Muslim, while I was there. In fact it was gathered that it was an unwanted pregnancy. I severally refused to bliv coz it was then too crazy to bliv but unfortunately it's true. |
Education › Re: OSUN Writes JAMB To Delist It's Four Tertiary Institutions by Amorl(m): 7:01pm On Dec 10, 2015 |
jomoh: I don't care what the restructuring means but whatever it mean for a state government to go as far as asking JAMB to delist its own institutions not one but four. It can never be anything political.
No one no matter how crazy or desperate will ever go to such length to check mate his political enemy. So forget it being political.
And please tell us how else do you think they can go about it that the state government wouldn't have considered or do you think the school is not a source of income generation to the state. Same way it is in all Nigerian state. Now tell me at this critical stage of the economy when the country and especially the state is broke will they throw away an income generating opportunity just to score a cheap political point.
We need to start analysing things critically before jumping into conclusion and politicising things.
I don't think you've ever being to those schools. Or do you think its a coincidence that the state governor and the most paramount king in the state are graduates of the same school from another state while the state has the highest number of institutions. Why not from their own institution.
Once again ask yourself, what will make a state government to ask JAMB to delist four of its own institution.
Only a fool will think the way you just did. Using the administration of man to compare to Gods'.
Even if I pray that God should manage your life the way Adeboye is managing RCCG, it is still a curse. Stop thinking like a 2year old you're getting old.
You obviously need it more. it's actually surprising that you think public education is an avenue for generating income here in Nigeria or anywhere(where it is made free or highly subsidized) |
Education › Re: OSUN Writes JAMB To Delist It's Four Tertiary Institutions by Amorl(m): 8:03am On Dec 10, 2015 |
jomoh: We are talking about restructuring for better service some people are talking about disenfranchising of students.
Which one is better quality of graduates or quantity of graduates. I just get tired of people being too sentimental about issues in this country.
For God sake those schools are nothing but Glorified secondary schools.
And another sentimental fool below me. Politicising everything. How many APC leaders have private school? Name them.
Ode somebody. You think you have full knowledge of the restructuring he's talking about ? But then... there's no other way out of this shameful mess of mismanagement. |

Politics › Re: Ministers Are Very Important And Not Noisemakers: A Reply To PMB by Amorl(m): 9:10am On Sep 17, 2015 |
wirinet: Barcanista, you are still trying to hide your bitterness of Buhari's defeat of Jonathan by forming constructive criticism. It is not a must to criticise every statement Buhari makes. You cannot criticise someone for what he thinks. Buhari never said he will not appoint ministers, he was only sharing his thoughts , and after being in government for over two decades, including becoming a head of state, he is entitled to his own opinion.
This is what he said;
Buhari went further to explain that Ministers could be sources of distraction as a result of their dual allegiance; to their function as officials of the state and as politicians.
You should see that Buhari is making a statement on the kinds of people he would choose as ministers; technocrats who make little noise with little political allegiance. If the president appoints the right people, I don't think there'd b any case of distraction. I guess this is where we'd have to separate politics and governance, atleast this wld give them liberty of going after the right people with or without the party. |

hinwazaka: Go and ask the TV presenter, who seriously schooled Madam due process when she stupidly claimed she is not a politician. The level of illiteracy and ignorance in our country is appalling, and you have just shown your own stake in it. Well......Dr. Oby could have successfully claimed she wasn't/isn't a politician if she wasn't trying to cover OBJ when she was asked a simple question. Maybe she was dirty herself. |
