TROOPS OF 3 DIVISION/OPERATION SAFE HAVEN NEUTRALISE BANDITS, INTERCEPT ARMS COURIER IN PLATEAU STATE In continuation of ongoing efforts to rid the Joint Operations Area (JOA) of criminal elements, troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN under Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A have sustained aggressive kinetic operations in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, yielding commendable outcomes. On 3 July 2025, troops carried out a clearance operation in the rugged terrains of Tulus and Hokk Communities, located along the Plateau–Nasarawa State border. During the mission, contact was made with armed militias in Hokk, leading to a brief but decisive firefight. Several bandits were neutralised, while others fled into surrounding forests. Troops conducted a thorough exploitation of the area and, though no further contact was established, have maintained control through mobile and static patrols to disrupt any regrouping attempts. In a separate operation later that evening at approximately 5:45pm, troops acting on credible intelligence apprehended a suspected gunrunner in Mangar, Daffo District of Bokkos LGA. The individual, caught transporting arms and ammunition on a motorcycle, was intercepted at a snap checkpoint. The suspect and recovered items are in custody, as investigations and follow-on operations continue to track other members of the arms smuggling network. These successful actions reaffirm the resolve of security forces to dismantle criminal syndicates and prevent the proliferation of illicit weapons threatening peace and security within the Joint Operations Area. |

'Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb asked his daughter: "... I want to ask you about a matter which concerns me, dispel it for me. How long does a woman long for her husband (for intimate purposes)?" She lowered her head and was shy. He said: "Truly, Allāh is not shy of the truth." She gestured her hand indicating three months, and if that was not possible then four months." ● [تاريخ الخلفاء صفحة ١٤٢] |

Muhammad ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī (d. 124H), may Allāh have mercy on him, was once on a journey and he fasted the day of Āshūrāʾ. So it was said to him: ‘You fast the day of Āshūrāʾ while traveling, yet you break your fast in Ramadan (when traveling)?’ He replied: ‘Indeed, Ramadan has its compensation through other days, but Āshūrāʾ, if missed, is gone.’ (Shuʿab al-Īmān by al-Bayhaqī, no. 3518) This reflects just how eager they were to take advantage of these blessed seasons. May Allāh grant us all a share in their goodness and blessings. |

Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: ‘Indeed Allāh, praise be to Him and no partners has He, has excused this nation for [genuine] errors and forgetfulness, and what they were coerced to do, and what they’re unable to bear. He has made lawful for them in cases of necessity much of what He has forbidden for them, and He has graced them with five things: 1. He gave them the world as a loan and then He asked them for it as a loan. So what they gave Him willingly, they have received [reward] many times over, from ten to seven hundred, to what none knows the knowledge of except Allāh, the Most Exalted. This is from His saying: “Who will lend to Allāh a good loan which Allāh will multiply many times over?” [al-Baqarah (2): 245] 2. What was taken from them involuntarily, so they were patient and sought its reward [from Allāh], so they receive salutations, mercy, and fulfilment of being guided. As Allāh said: “Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: ‘Truly! To Allāh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.’ They are the ones who will receive Allāh’s blessings and mercy. And it is they who are [rightly] guided.” [al-Baqarah (2): 156–157] 3. If they are thankful, then He will grant them increase, as He said: “If you are thankful, I will certainly give you more.” [Ibrāhīm (14): 7] 4. If one of them commits sins upon sins until he reaches [the threshold of] disbelief. Then he repents to Allāh and endeavour to make Him love him, because Allāh, Almighty said: “Surely, Allāh loves those who always turn to Him in repentance and those who purify themselves.” [al-Baqarah (2): 222] 5. And the fifth is that if Jibrīl, Mīkā’īl (‘alayhumā-salām) and all of the Prophets (‘alayhum-salām) were given them, He would have given them the most bountiful gift, for Allāh says: as He said: “…Call upon Me, I will respond to you.” [Ghāfir (40: 60)]⁵¹ ✿————✦————✿ ⁵¹ That is, the virtue of this verse is so great that whatever supplications Jibrīl, Mīkā’īl and the Prophets (may Allāh have mercy on them all) made using it for their umām (plural of ummah), they would all be answered in full, due to its great virtue and blessing. This is supported by the ḥadīth Qudsī which bears a similar meaning: “If your humans and your jinn, and your first and your last stood in one plain and made a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I record for you and recompense you for. So let him who finds good, praise Allāh, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself.” It is narrated by Al-Bukhārī. ⁵² See Ṭabarī in his Tafsīr, 2/58, 60 Patience and Perseverance P.30-32 | By Al-Hāfiẓ ibn Abī Al-Dunyā | Published & Translated by: Dār as-Sunnah Publishers |
﷽ Imam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله was asked: 📌📌 ❓ "What is the remedy for someone whom the disease has overpowered? What is the solution for one overwhelmed by laziness? What is the path to success? And what is the trick for someone who is overcome by confusion?" 📃 He responded: 1. The remedy is to seek refuge in Allah, continuously supplicating to Him by learning the transmitted supplications and seeking times when prayers are likely to be answered, such as the last part of the night, during the times of Adhan (call to prayer) and Iqamah, during prostration, and at the end of the prayers. 2. Combine this with seeking forgiveness (Istighfar), for whoever seeks Allah’s forgiveness and then repents to Him, Allah will grant him a good life until an appointed time. 3. Adopt a regular routine (Wird) of remembrance (Dhikr) in the early morning, late afternoon, and before sleeping. 4. Be patient with whatever obstacles and distractions arise, for it will not be long before Allah supports him with a spirit from Him and writes faith in his heart. 5. Be diligent in completing the obligatory prayers with both outward and inward concentration, for they are the pillars of the religion. 6. Make it a habit to say, «لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم» "There is no power nor strength except through Allah, the Most High, the Most Great," for through it, burdens are lifted, hardships are endured, and elevated states are achieved. 7. Do not tire of supplicating and requesting, for the servant is answered as long as he is not hasty and says, "I have supplicated, but I have not been answered." 8. Know that victory comes with patience, relief comes with distress, and with difficulty comes ease. No one has achieved any great good" - whether a Prophet or anyone below him—except through patience. Imam Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Uthmaan ad-Dhahabi (d.748 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said: ‘It is upon the parents to teach their children, the young ones, first things first; that what is obligatory to be kept away from, and what is necessary to carry out, and his belief. So the father should study with, and remind his son with the matter of Tawheed and that Allaah is the Lord of the worlds. He is the Creator of things, the One who provides for the living, and that Muhammad is His Prophet and that Islam is his religion so that the child is familiar with these matters and he instils this in his nature.
