Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) Resumes Operations

The Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) at the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) successfully resumed operations on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 12:25 PM. The 125,000-barrel-per-day facility is currently stabilizing production at 60% capacity.

This milestone marks the beginning of WRPC's production and storage of key petroleum products, including Straight Run Kerosene (SRK), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), low pour fuel oil, and both heavy and light naphtha.

On Monday, load-out of these products took place as part of the commissioning process, celebrating this significant achievement.

The next phase of the rehabilitation project will focus on completing additional sections of the refinery to enable the production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). This advancement will enhance the nation’s energy security and ensure a steady supply of petroleum products.

About the Role:
