Guys, can you speak with people who have actually passed jamb and got admitted into universities to recheck this your opinions? Ask if they think they got the admissions through a crazy system that randomly awarded marks or if they think they got what they deserved. Speaking with people who are also yet to get it right is not the right way forward. It will buy you sympathies but not success. |
There is no incentive that will make law enforcement agencies to do well. Neither is there any punitive measures for not solving crimes. How about making a Federal Law that says if a murder occurs in your jurisdiction your salary stops immediately till it is solved. If it is unsolved for 12 months you go on automatic retirement? |
marinxxx:So, you are saying that the marks are randomly given to students? That will be the implication of your assumptions. You know that is not plausible. |
@OP, The reason why most of you don't pass is because you put in what you by your standards consider a lot of efforts but which are not enough to help you scale through. Your generation also has to contend with many easy distractions such Social Networks. For example see how many topics you have created and how many posts you have on Nairaland. Unless you are well above what we describe as an average student academically, you will need exclusive devotion to studying before you can win Jamb. |
Considering where we are coming from it is not so bad if it is just one or two units as said. |
Idydarling:Sorry about your loss sister. No matter how crazy the family is there is usually at least one person that can put things in order. My be you should move closer to him or her. |
Arike2015:@Arike2015, All countries where the process of doing honest business is unfair and complicated attract quacks and greedy people who will exploit the weaknesses in the system. |
darmilolah:ProxyWill has a smart algorithm that works according to the way you personalize it to determine that. It is called "Conditions for Release" See the question is answered on the FAQ page https://proxywill.com/?faq Q- How can you know when I am dead? A - Your personalised ProxyWill settings automatically determine it. This is called "Conditions for Release". See an example below of how someone personalised his Conditions for release: Dear ProxyWill, My Current Conditions for release of Information in my ProxyWill: If I have not logged on to my ProxyWill account for over 30 days (absence period), please wait for 7 days (waiting period) during which you should send a notice to my email (someone@example.com) reminding me to log in to my ProxyWill account (@myproxywillaccount). If AFTER the 7 days waiting period, I still have not logged in, please contact my Verifiers to find out about me. You (ProxyWill) are authorised to release my For Multiple Recipient Information and my For Single Recipient messages (digital records) to my Recipients if after 5 days (verification period), my verifier EITHER did not RESPOND to your inquiry about me or they CONFIRMED by email or otherwise that I am deceased or incapacitated. |
I will choose to be my wife for that one day. |
Knowing fully well what the ugly consequences might be why will you go into a room in a house where nobody knows you or where you're not welcome? Young men should learn common sense and stop exhibiting the characteristics of a thief. |
As the drivers fuel their cars with petrol they fuel themselves with booze. Too many dangerous practices that we overlook. |
Any eyewitness should please call 767 . It is the Lagos State emergency number. |
Congrats man. I wish you success. |
Interesting. So NLC pays salary directly. Not government? |
His mental health should be evaluated. How can you sell a house in Lagos for N500,000? |
Excellently excellent if I may use such expression. Great talent showcase. |
Succession in monarchy is never an easy thing. Too many claimants and too many contradictory versions of history. |
A simple DNA test will solve the problem. I will always advise all men to have a will. The moment you open your first bank account you should have a simple record to serve as an instruction on how it should be managed if anything happens to you. It costs only a pen and sheet of paper. https://www.ProxyWill.com |
swiitJese:Good advise@SwiitJese. If it is something that just started recently and not that she has always been that way it is likely because of change in her routine. Make jokes about it and laugh over it together. It will pass. Sleeping sideways rather than face up also can help her. |
Nigeria, where everybody is an economic expert only in telling the leaders what to do but can't apply same for personal uplifting. |
This a good development for Glo but they should work on the persistency of the connections. You can hardly do up to 15 minutes before it breaks off and comes on later. On -off-on it goes all the time with a mind of its own. |
If it is this difficult for you the depositor to claim I wonder how it will be for claimants (in case of eventualities). Most of those people from insurance company's are marketers placed only on commissions. They leave the company once they get better offers. The insurance company's fault is that they hardly update customers when their Marketing Officers change. It is always good to establish a relationship with the company and not just the marketers. NAICOM (http://naicom.gov.ng/payload?id=66088c7c-1bcd-4503-9284-85ec6f276d79) and Central Bank are their regulators. You can report them as a last resort. |
Nice one. From Commissioner for Women Affairs to Deputy Governor and now Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals. There must be something she is doing right. |
I am glad the girls have been rescued. The other members of the team too should be given recognition. Same as the person who put the team together. |
Nigeria has too many regulatory agencies who are also not effective and not efficient. It is very difficult to get anything, anything at all done. You don't even know which agencies are supposed to be regulating you. Any adhoc agency can come on board and shut you down at any time. We are currently the 170th best place to do business out of 189 countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ease_of_doing_business_index#Ranking I believe regulations for physical businesses should be at the state level. The Federal should only ensure no state has laws that are below the national minimum. |
AkinBspeakout:Sounds good from an activists point of view until you jam reality. Just pick the bold part of your post that I quoted and imagine this scenario You have a two month old baby that won't sleep because of heat. "NEPA" has taken light. The baby keeps crying and the mother too who needs rest can't sleep. meanwhile she was delivered through surgery at a private hospital at N120,000. After a hard day's work you get home and meet the situation I just explained. You need to power on your generator to solve the heat problem and you get to the fuelling station selling fuel within 10 kilometres of your house and they say it is N170 per litre. What will you do? Go back home empty handed while your baby and wife are in great distress? I hope you get the point. |
Good mineral resources do not make nations rich. Good human resources do. |
Very nice tips. Let me also add that going at more than 60 Km/h on a road with many bends or on a road that is not a dual carriage way is the reason why many people die when there is a Tyre blow out. On a single carriage road the probability of colliding with on coming traffic is high and hence you will want to apply brakes. If the speed was already too high then a somersault is almost inevitable. If it happens near a bend it is even worse. |
Many people often think the power of sex and the desire for it can be reasoned away. Nothing further from the truth. Regardless of whether there is love between them or not a single man and lady seeing each other daily and on good talking terms will sooner or later have sex unless there are other factors that will make such not to happen. Such factors include the guilt of sleeping with a partner that belongs to someone else. So, @OP, unless either of you gets a more suitable partner AND stop being in close proximity you won't be able to help the situation. The feeling of attempting to stop the madness and failing several times is not good for you. Also, going forward. Make it a personal policy never to get too close to anybody of the opposite sex unless you can marry them. |
coolkemie:This is how people get scammed. You have N200k. You want somebody with nothing to gain or lose to tell you precisely how to turn it to N300k. Right? Why will anybody give you his profitable business idea? I'm afraid what you will get is a bunch of people that want to collect part of that N200k from you by through subtle means. ==What you should do if you are serious== Stop looking for anybody that will give you a profitable business idea. You will have to research the idea yourself both online and in the real world. It must be something you have some experience and advantage in. You must start the business first and run it for sometime. You should only come online to ask for specifics. By specifics I mean an actual business stumbling block that you are finding difficult to cross in your daily business. If I haven't made any sense to you then we can simply sit back and watch your N200k go up in smokes ! |
This is a good development for Nigeria. |
Nice tips @OP, You may also like to add that it is best to first learn getting around with commercial buses even if the have a car. |
ian lives being lost to quackery and greedy persons operating medical laboratories without providing the necessary equipment and qualified personnel.
