deblessed:
IF I NEED TO WRITE AN ESSAY, I WILL BUY JAMB FORM TO GO BACK TO UNIVERSITY OR POLYTECHNICS. NONSENSE. AFTER 7,6,5,4 AND 3 YEARS IN HIGH INSTITUTIONS, SERVED FOR ONE YEAR, CERTIFIED FULLY AS A GRADUATES, THAT EMPLOYER IS NOT STILL SATISFIED?

NIGERIA IS WICKED. WHAT CONCERNS MATHEMATICS TEACHER WITH ESSAY?

THERE IS NO DULL GRADUATE, NO DULL BRAIN, EMPLOY ONE AND TEACH HIM OR HER WHAT TO DO, DEAR EMPLOYERS, YOU WILL BE AMAZED. TO HELL WITH YOUR ESSAY.

ONLY IN NIGERIA YOU WILL SEE THIS KIND THING. AGE LIMIT, EXAMINATION AS IF THE LECTURERS THAT TAUGHT ME DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING. WOOOOOO, AM NOT APPLYING..... EMPLOY ME AND I WILL TEACH YOUR STUDENTS PERFECTLY
Ordinarily, I would have simply ignored your submission. However, for the sake of those undergraduates and fresh graduates who will see it in the future and think you know what you are talking about, I find it necessary to give some clarity.

You have wasted 116 words. The same brain that produced those words may be used to produce a coherent, hundred word essay. It is all about how you chose to use the resources at your disposal.

Every job requires a recruitment process everywhere in the world and not just in Nigeria. If it is business that you have set up for yourself, you will still need to "recruit" yourself by asking yourself critical questions about the job of CEO unless of course if you do not care about the success of the business.

It is laughable that you think that a Mathematics teacher needs not be able to write an essay. We are in the business of education and we know better.

EducationRe: FSB Scholars Cry Over Non-Payment Of Arrears By The FG by Amplitron: 4:50pm On Apr 30, 2019
This should not be happening in a country that needs to grow its GDP rapidly. The government funds pilgrims in a very organised manner but have issues when it comes to funding education.
As a matter of urgency, at least a quarter of the budget shouldn't be devoted to education.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Charges Bala Mohammed, Governor-elect With Accepting Gratification by Amplitron: 12:10am On Apr 29, 2019
Some of the figures thrown around makes one to wonder if there is any hope at all in the fight against corruption. Politicization makes things even worse.
EducationRe: Wow:the Biggest Library In Nigeria by Amplitron: 9:33am On Apr 28, 2019
I believe the institutions should invest more into e-Libraries rather than having bigger physical libraries. They are far more cost effective and makes knowledge easier to update through the ease of acquisition of new materials.
EducationRe: JAMB To Release 2019 UTME Results From Monday by Amplitron: 9:25am On Apr 28, 2019
As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect". Why is it that students who should be studying to ace the exam are usually busy spending all their time on social media but expect some sort of miracle to happen? Laziness is what it is called. It is a wonderful experience to devote your time to doing well at an exam and actually ace it.
EducationRe: How To Prepare For JAMB 2018/2019 And Score Very High by Amplitron: 3:52pm On Dec 22, 2017
vingeophysicist:
The op really gave good points.Let me enunciate on the most important virtue you should possess when preparing for jamb.its DISCIPLINE, which is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Each candidate wants to score high in jamb but its demands sacrifice. If you are looking for a motivation, think about the financial deficiency of your sponsor(if they are poor or average) and also think about how much you are aging and why you should really accomplish your dream of being an engineer, doctor, nurse, geologist, geophysicist, to name a few in your young age.

I recorded 280 in jamb. what really helped me was discipline, I had a timetable which I followed strictly for like six month before the exam.sometimes I fail to read at the designated duration(3hours every day) I mapped out for myself and I had to punish myself by reading excessively the next day.I vividly recall on Christmas day(2009) I read the longest hour of my life(roughly 12hours).On the day of the exam, I solved mathematics question within 40 minutes, this is because I was really familiar with the kind of question to expect.Like the op said read your past question thoroughly. The invigilator where surprised and they used my script(type D) to distribute expo to other students that are willing to part with their money.I got a whopping score of 83 in mathematics.Generally, i concluded my exam 30 minutes before time.
Candidates will perform better if they will follow this guy's advice. You have to practice a little daily for several months to master all topics. Unfortunately, many candidates will rather wait till just a few days to exam and start trying to cram as much as possible into their brains.
EducationRe: Admission Success Tips For JAMB Candidates by Amplitron: 5:38pm On Dec 13, 2017
Great advice. Secondary schools should also give wise counseling to their students. Most students leave secondary school with no clue about how admissions and post secondary school studies work.
EducationRe: JAMB Warns UTME Candidates Against Fake Questions by Amplitron: 9:55am On Dec 13, 2017
Students should focus on mastering the topics by studying diligently. Just cramming answers to past questions doesn't work.

How did the British know that Everest is the highest mountain on earth even when several other mountains gave an illusion of being higher ? Simple ! They used trigonometry and Pythagoras Theorem to calculate the exact height. Mathematics was the only reliable tool for finding important unknown distances.

CelebritiesRe: Video: Hot Couple Killed And Eaten By Lion While Doing Shoki In Bush by Amplitron: 5:09am On Mar 15, 2017
How can just one lion eat two people? Lions often hunt in teams and usually target just one prey. It requires very many lions to target multiple preys. You should have done more research on Nat Geo Wild before creating the fiction.

Do you mean something like this?
You have a webpage with static content and each time the static content is invoked you want more details to be pulled from the database.

What do you mean by "retrieved from the internet". Did you mean to say "retrieved from the database and displayed on the webpage"?

@OP you have done right but what should excite you most is that the former student is now a master of the craft or another craft such that they don't need you anymore other than calling in just to say thank you.
I'm not so happy when any of my former students still calls in to ask me to solve a problem s/he should have mastered.

Anyone ever noticed this thing about life

First class in books - Last class in social status and sense
He found where he could gain recognition and put his best efforts there. The first class will open doors for him. That is a good social status.
I look around and see many talentless guys about 20 years old trying to become the next big thing in rap music when they should be studying. They end up failing both academically and socially.
PropertiesRe: Massive Fire In Residential Lagos Neighbourhood by Amplitron: 7:28am On Feb 21, 2017
Fire incidences are too frequent there. Every building is made of wood that fuels the fire. The government needs to do continuous massive education on fire and emergencies for the residents of the place since relocating them is out of the question for now.

rottennaija:
@op, it would be good if you tell us how they apply in the world
Do you know that since about 1600 when Europe started paying more attention to the discovery of those equations the human life span has literally doubled?
Do you know how fundamental calculus is to economics? Or is there anything that affects a nation more than its economy?
Do you know that without Laplace transform and the equation on information theory the internet won't happen?
The oldest of those equations up there is the Pythagoras equation. That is just too fundamental to finding unknown distances in the days when Europeans were taking over other lands in the world?

A=πr^2 was supposed to be on that list.

It's a silent killer.
Silent for where? The word tuberculosis and silence cannot be together. Constant loud cough which produce sputum and come more at night. So, no good sleep at night. Also, serious weight loss.
The good news is that the treatment is free in government hospitals and they have a good program to monitor your progress. Treatment can take several months.
Don't wish this on your worst enemy.
