Coolcash1: i bought this 2010 Benz GL450 4matic in February this year from another user. The former owner used to drive it to work everyday (less than 5km) and do other errands (picking up of his kids from school and travelling).
however, when ownership was transferred to me, i decided to make it an occasional vehicle i.e. parties and church which is only on weekends just to reduce the cost of fueling and maintenance.
But i met someone (a benz user) who advised against such practice that Benz are like planes designed to be driven everyday and not parked for long. Is this assertion true?
Also, is my current practice of not driving it everyday bad for the car? What are the risks involved? My dear I used to think like you until I realised that Benz engines are built to last... It should be fired.. I mean drive it so hard once in a while... Let the RPM needle do the needful Drive your card daily, Benz cars are like human, if you don't do exercises the heart wouldn't pump well and if the heart dokt pump well, sickness comes ... Do you know what it Italian tine up? It is drive it like you stole it... Take the car for a spin ! Italian tuneup is a slang automotive term for attempting to restore engine performance by driving a car at high engine speed (RPM) and load. The term originated from Italian mechanics in the 1950s using this practice to burn off carbon deposits from the spark plugs of sports cars - Wikipedia Dude you got a beast there as a car, my eyes is on that SUV...bro match it, fire the car,. Rev it , if you are in Lagos drive Lagos - Mowe axis once In a while or on a good Sunday drive from mainland to ajah via 3rd mainland bridge You got a great ride there ..forget fuel bro! You can't be riding a horse and expect it to drink like a goat |

Fogman: OP, Sorry for the loss, hope car was comprehensively insured? I don't think this is peculiar to Toyota Corolla. Last week I was at my panel Beater workshop and saw this Lexus RX330 that was seriously burnt upon inquiry, was told the owner woked up to see his vehicle on fire. Lexus is Toyota... All na the same ... Just like differentiating 6 and half a dozen |

speedfreak: Know its a c350 not sure of the year tho,he got it from one of those nzamiye drifters so the car was heavily abused might be why it was so expensive...but honestly why does everyone think Mercedes are expensive to buy and maintain? Me I don't know ... The last time I checked many japanese cars like Lexus are far more pricey in parts And the term expensive is relative |

darfay: I'm not selling Africans short, I'm actually happy we had creative ancestors but still yet we have to probe
Look at the pot in the first picture below, notice the design by the side, no crude tool could have done that and the cup/bowl itself wasn't used in the area it was found pre colonial era for any purpose
If the carbon dating is real(I hope so), those artifacts without doubt belonged to a long lost civilization Do you know that the meaning of Ndi Igbo ... Means the people of the ancient .... Igbo has been civilised |

Obamaofusa: In Yorubaland, even to beg is a taboo. This is why you see the news of money rituals recently being quickly reported in our media and the article on emerging traits of begging in Yorubaland. In fact in Yorubaland, little crime, big exposition and loud noise because it is an anomaly.
Your assertion means that Igbos are a lawless people. Does it mean that social criminality is an ingrained culture in Igboland.
Small wonder because we have seen instances where a whole or majority of Igbos backed known Igbo criminals.
A lot of social and ritual criminalities go on in Igboland which are not exposed because they have become the norms, the culture.
Imagining not knowing that prostitution, factory births, bastards birthing etc are topnotch criminalities but with no adverse name given to them because they have become a kind of norm,a culture. No wonder... I don't know what you are saying about begging! I said bastard , there is no word for bastard |

Obamaofusa: You mean there are a lot of bastards among the Igbos than we can ever imagined. There is still the case of factory babies o. I don't want to believe that you are happy to be churning out bastards in millions and calling it your culture. Just say you made a mistake saying this Funny enough there is no bastard in Igbo culture....there is no word for bastard in Igbo land or even prostitute! What we call prostitute is Ashawo which is borrowed from SW and Akwunakwuna which is also borrowed |

unbitchable: Saved the best reply for the last. ibos couldn't influence other minority populations of slaves outside the shores by their acclaimed large numbers, as they vigorously did the minorities within the eastern region. So much for "subtle influence". They are weak, have no class nor personalty - simply put. They succeeded in the eastern region because they had a Government over the minorities without which they were spineless outside of the shores.
* Ridiculously gloating over a DNA testing that has returned their Jewish ancestry they love to postulate a null and void. They seem to be getting bloated by the African American DNA testing. There will be no cure for fools!
*More worryingly, his last paragraph which was replete with spurious and false claims such that I wish I had him on chokehold. Yoruba have a significant number of 50% ibo blood to as high as 75-80% Igbo blood/DNA. -- Madness!!!
What is the rate of Yoruba/ibo intermarriage and when (which year) did it start ffs!. These bunch of low self-esteem folks keep proving us right that they indeed do pull off figures from their father's ass and throw it on their mother's face.
Hopefully I would have a spare time off my busy schedule to open a thread to highlight and expose his demonic claims on the Yoruba population. Their Lies are becoming damn too much to condone. True even Davido said it...that his grandma was an Igbo ! Then he has gone back to his roots which is Chioma....Igbo have a way of subtle.... |

Theconglomerate: The bolded is the start and finish of everything. If you have never used something, you have no knowledge of that thing, irrespective of the man hours a person has put into it in the form of online research all what not. You find people argue about cars and talk how they drive, feel, consume and how reliable they are by just reading people's opinions off the net.Sickening, childish and very low. I am a mercedes man to the core,I have owned a couple of them but can only give facts on the ones I have owned and right now I can't afford a proper one at the moment,so would I go about and start badmouthing the w212 facelift or what? To what end? I bought a corolla instead to manage till I get my money up to get what I want,no time for whining and acting like a 12 year old. Honestly a person don't stand no moral ground to condemn a car he doesn't own,it's a very silly thing to do Lied bless you...I don't take them serious anymore...I am a Benz man...go to Benz thread and see how they act there.... I would take supercar Blondie more serious than them....try make a whole lot of noise ! |
