Blaqsmith: so steevkamp tried to kill oscar? I never read the story to that chapter .

Even if Oscar walks, his CONSCIENCE will forever hunt him for killing his gf in cold blood.

Shalom!
I didn't say such. I'm saying you and I weren't there, so there's no how you can prove he killed her deliberately without any reasonable doubt. No evidence to prove such. So he might be wrong, and he might be right.
SportsRe: Oscar Pistorius Could Compete At Rio 2016 by Anacksunamun: 12:36pm On Sep 13, 2014
Blaqsmith: 4shots is a proof beyond reasonable doubt baba!

All these lawyers can be machiavellic too much.
so anything beyond 3shots shows pre-medidated murder? So let's say a cult guy tries to kill you and out of self-defence, you fire 4 shots and kill him; you should be sentenced to death for simply firing above 3shots then, no? undecided

Cau you prove without any reasonable doubt that it's pre-medidated murder before you start calling him a beast? SMH.
CrimeRe: Nigerian Man Arrested For Abducting And Molesting A Woman In The U.S. by Anacksunamun: 8:17pm On Sep 12, 2014
50calibre: Of course!! You're too myopic to understand point of view. Unlike you, I don't dance to popular sentiments, I think things for myself & form opinions based on what I already know.

I said sometimes women attract unwanted se*xual attention through their dressing, an absolute fact, one most people are scared to say. Now I'm not saying ra*pe is justifiable same way I can't say stealing is justifiable. I'm saying when you expose yourself to danger, you should take some responsibility for whatever fate befalls you.

This whole thing is turning into a witch hunt, women now use ra*pe accusations as a tool against men, & society regards them as the victims, totally ignoring whatever role the said victim may have played in the incident.

I'm not a bandwagon person and neither do I indulge in demagoguery just to please people. I hold opinions which are sometimes unpopular but I don't give a fu*k and if you think I'm alone in that opinion or that civilisation has anything to do with this, you better think again. The difference is; some are just too scared to say what they think.

Yeah, Mr. I-am-not-a-bandwagon-person, when you see that sexy lady walking alone at night with a plunging neckline, go ahead and ràpe her, hopefully it will make you feel right and blame her for being seductive. SMH. I hope when you see a bank too, you will blame the bankers for tempting you with the stashed cash, as you pick up an AK47 to rob it.
CrimeRe: Nigerian Man Arrested For Abducting And Molesting A Woman In The U.S. by Anacksunamun: 5:25pm On Sep 12, 2014
50calibre: Maybe the woman was indecently dressed, I know it's summer but women need to start taking people's feelings into account.

You can't just dress provocatively & not attract some unwanted attention, it's not easy on the guys.

Note I'm in no way condoning sexual assault, just urging women to be considerate in their dressing.

You can't flash wads of cash in public & not take any resonsibility for attracting thieves.
I'm ashamed to call you a man!! The way you reason sometimes astounds me!! It's hard to understand why someone like you that grew up/lives in the UK will think in this medieval way. it shows how chauvinistic and pathetic you are!! You are not different from a medieval-living , stone-age man!!
PoliticsRe: Desmond Elliot To Contest For Lagos House Of Assembly by Anacksunamun: 2:22pm On Sep 12, 2014
Collynzo17: So the Igbo producers that picked Omotola, Olu Jacobs, Akintola and other Yorubas in Nollywood didn't notice their Yoruba names? You are just a bloody tribal bigot, no need to pretend about it, it is nothing new on Nairaland.
Please ignore that Bigot. Omotola and Olu Jacobs must be Igbos before they blew, shey? Olu Jacobs plays Igbo roles and there's no fuss about it. No bigotry about it, yet when a Nigerian wants to contest for a post, the absence of his surname is used to start a campaign of calumny against him. Bigotry makes a learned person, a dumbáss. You are arguing with a rock. Let the bigot be.

Amaaskia: haha as in. I'm weak. I had deactivated and hurricane hack truly brought it back. I've been trying to deactivate cos I get addicted and its not working. sad once the de-activate thingy is fixed, I'm off oo. smiley
LOL. I'm glad it brought you back though. tongue yeah, you are right. NL is addictive I tell ya. I think you should just log off entirely because the C.E.O has refused to activate the "deactivation" feature. He's decided to cage us inside. But if you can work on your "addictiveness," it'll better because the deactivation won't be working at all, or anytime soon.

So the Hurricane Hack brought your deactivated moniker back? Nice one. smiley

Collynzo17: These are the same hypocrites that castigate Igbos for not ''supporting'' Rochas, the same people that Lable Nollywood an Igbo industry when it suits them and a Nigerian industry when it suits them, talking from boths sides of the mouth must be a virtue in their culture.
I shudder to think of how much more hateful these comments would have been if the guy wasn't in APC. I am sure most of the haters aren't even from Lagos, they might be some of these Osun and Oyo people that always want to claim Lagos yet they want to dictate to a true Lagosian whether he can run for an election in his own state.
How laughable.
@Embolden, if he's in PDP, the kind of hate from his brothers would've crashed NL's server. So much hate from some pathetic Yoruba bigots, it's sickening!!

I can't believe some people bought this folktale the OP is trying to sell them. Well, if this story is true, both your GF and your sister are both dumb and childish. Can't believe 27-years-old and 26-years-old dummies are fighting like kids. What a shame!!
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend & Sister Fought Over The Car Front Seat, Who Do I Side? by Anacksunamun: 11:22pm On Sep 11, 2014
yuppieman: In our kind of society, ‎‎†ђe front seat of Ω̴̴̩̩̩̥̩ man's car į̸̸̨§ meant for his wife/gf as ‎†ђε case may be. But in your case, you have your sister sitting in ‎†ђε front seat before you got ‎2 your gf, now coutesy demands that your sister alights and go 2 ‎†ђε back seat but in your case she didn't (for whatever reason); your gf should have let it slide pass afterall she will get 2 sit in your car more than your sister will ever sit there. Now, 2 answer your question directly, if your sister į̸̸̨§ much younger than your gf, you would have politely requested that she moved 2 ‎†ђε back seat (as Ω̴̴̩̩̩̥̩ mark of respect) but if they are abt ‎†ђε same age then you would have politely requested her 2 sit at ‎†ђε bck for that once.

AirborneLacer: Hehe

Certainly a high-profile case, you dont just rush out from a break with a hasty verdict.

Do you see Oscar pulling through in this?

My gut feeling tells me Yes!
I see him pulling through with lesser punishment. Reason - NO concrete evidence to nail him. We might insinuate all we can, bring up our own theories, know what might have gone down, but if there's no concrete facts to show pre-medidated murder, then Oscar will escape life sentence.

This conclusion is highly absurd!!

Dreambeat: If I suspect someone has entered my house, the first thing I will do is to be sure of my girlfriend's whereabout since she was sleeping on the same bed with me before then. This is not about sentiment or emotion,it's about common sense and proper judgement
Exactly!! I don't see how I'd wake up, suspect an intruder, without making sure about my GF sleeping NEXT TO ME ON THE BED is okay, I'll go off to shoot the intruder in the bathroom. On a normal day, once I wake up, I check on the person sleeping next to me, how much more on a such suspicious day.
PoliticsRe: Debt Profile: Fashola Justifies N160bn State’s Debt by Anacksunamun: 8:24am On Sep 11, 2014
aljharem: Fashola and the APC lead Tinubu government are full of lies and propaganda. Lets itemize the things he claimed to have do with a loan of 160 billion Naira. Also note that Lagos generate 29 billion Naira monthly apart from 12 billion Naira monthly allocation from the Federal Government

Is Shoprite a Lagos state project ? No

Is Lekki epe a lagos state project ? No and if yes then why are we being asked to pay at them toll gate, is this not double taxation ?

Are those housing estates Lagos state project for the elites or masses ? if for the elites then half of them is owned by Tinubu. If not then why sell a Lagos state "low scheme" flat for 30 million naira ? Does this even make any sense ?

Are those malls shops for the elites or market men and women ? The tejuosho mall and co are rented and sold at high prices. Most of them have already been bought by his commissioner and SA wives.

Is FERMA also Lagos state ? Ikorodu road has always been repaired and maintained by Ferma, not to talk of other road.

Point out what Fashola has done apart from over inflated projects, planting flowers and elites housing estates

Hoping for PDP to take over this Tinubu Empire
WOW!! This is systemic robbery!! sadsad
PoliticsRe: Politicisation Of Boko Haram Insurgency, Bane Of Nigeria’s Anti-terror Fight by Anacksunamun: 8:20am On Sep 11, 2014
lokito: It cannot be overemphasized that this Boko Haram insurgency has been politicized stemming from the fact that none of these politicians has lost a soul in these bombings. If Jonathan especially, lose one person he won't be there trying to borrow $3bn to fight them. He'd use his own money asap
Why must it be Jonathan in particular? why not a Buhari? Mtcheeeww

ImperfectMe: French Angelfish

The French Angelfish are a classic example of "I will stick with you
forever." These fish bond for life, and literally do everything
together. Besides living with each other, they swim together,
hunt together, and being very territorial in nature, even fight
and defend their space together! You will rarely find this fish
alone, and in the event of a partner's death, the surviving one may not even get together with someone else! Now that's what
we call true love.
Not TRUE love, this a PAINFUL love.

Science/TechnologyRe: Why Do Cockroaches Die Upside Down? by Anacksunamun:
Not all of them do. If you're killing them with some sort of pesticide or neurotoxin, like Raid, their dying brains will cause spasms in their muscles. Frequently this will flip the roach over onto its back where it will then spasm uncontrollably and helplessly until brain death is reached. Most of the dead roaches you see are probably poisoned, which would explain why you're finding them that way. Roaches rarely meet their maker in a natural way out in the open; if they were to die naturally, they would probably be already too weak to leave
the burrow. Too weak and slowly dying, the roaches dying of old age will most likely be on their bellies. But you'd never see them.

To recap: roaches have mini seizures when they're poisoned, flipping them onto their backs. By sampling bias, you probably only see the poisoned ones, and draw the conclusion that dead roaches die on their backs.
