Events / When J Martins Thrilled Guests At Part Vega Waterpark by analuwe(m): 2:59pm On Jul 04, 2022
West Africa’s international standard waterpark, Park Vega Waterpark, played host to prolific Afro Hip-hop singer, songwriter, and producer, J. Martins, who performed some of his hit songs which had guests screaming and singing along as they swam and slid at the attractions.
The top Nigerian artist has over the years collaborated with other great musicians such as Timaya, P-Square, Phyno, Olamide, Flavour of Africa, DJ Arafat, Niga Raw, Bracket, and YCEE, among others. J. Martins serenaded the largest waterpark in West Africa with hit singles such as ‘Cool Temper’, ‘Good or Bad’, ‘Oyoyo’, ‘Touching Body’, and ‘Fine Fine Love’, with both young and old guests dancing to the tune of the rhythm.
The privately-owned water-based amusement park has been the major centre for fun in Nigeria ever since it started operations on the 5th of December, 2020. The park has the largest wave pool in West Africa with 500,000 thousand gallons of water, the wave pool mimics the ocean’s ability to create waves. This added more excitement as the guests danced inside the pool to J. Martin, running back and forth as the waves surged forward and backward.
Those at the Attraction pool were not left out as J. Martins went about interacting with the guests as they played water volleyball and water polo. Park Vega has a swim-up bar and two restaurants. Some guests enjoyed the music with food, cocktails, and mocktails.
The other attractions at the park are multi-surf slides, a Space hole, a Black Hole Slide, an Aqua tower, and an aquatic castle that enables children to play princes and princesses, defending their castle from invasion. The Aqua tower is equipped with water guns, buckets, bubbler jets, a net bridge, and a net climber, the castle is well guarded. A Splash Pad provides an atmosphere of never-ending fun for the toddler in and out of the Splash Pad. For more details visit the park’s website https://www.parkvegawaterpark.com/ and its blog site https://parkvegawaterpark..com/.

Inspirational-Highlife music talent, Mobolaji, has signed a recording deal with a top Nigerian record label, audio-video company, Mercelo Gustavo on Wednesday.
The musician who is known to play a variety of musical instruments built a reputation for himself as a musical prodigy from a young age owing to his musical family background.
“I am so excited and lost for words. This is one of the happiest days of my life because I have been working with Mercelo Gustavo cooking up songs that inspire and encourage the mind but offering me a contract confirmed their interest in me. I want to touch not just the feet of those who listen to my music but more importantly to touch their hearts and inspire them to believe they can make it in 9ja no matter the odds.” A visibly excited Mobolaji said during the contract signing.
President/CEO Dijo Group, the parent company of Mercelo Gustavo, Chief Innocent Oboh, expressed confidence on Mobolaji’s ability to put back-on-track a music industry that has been accused of lacking content over the years.
According to Oboh “I have always known Mobolaji to be a great talent and all he needed was a credible platform that can make his dreams come true. There is no better platform than Mercelo Gustavo to take him from the point of talent, brand, exposure, management, marketing, positioning, and consumption by fans.”
Oboh explains further that “Mercelo Gustavo will offer Mobolaji all the support he needs to succeed in a keenly competitive Nigerian entertainment industry, and globally. “When it comes to creativity especially in delivery, Mobolaji is one of the best artists in Nigeria. He is a producer’s delight because he is able to interpret every beat, every string in the music and that is something you don’t find in many artists today.” Abiola declared.

Education / Spin-doctoring, A PR Strategy Demonized By Quacks – by analuwe(m): 10:27am On Dec 28, 2018
The labelling of Public Relations professionals as Spin-Doctors has been associated with the operations of quacks in the marketing communications practice. This was revealed over the weekend during the Edubrainics Africa Lecture delivered by the Senior Consultant of Brandfit PR & Events, Anthony Elikene ANIPR.

Edubrainics is an educational platform with a mission to spread education all over Africa. The organisation invites seasoned professionals to impart knowledge on African students by lecturing on specialized industries and disciplines. The lecture was transmission to a global audience generated engagement from students and young professionals from around the world who during the interactive session asked questions as it relates to their countries.

With the topic “Spin-Doctoring, a Prerequisite or Parasite to the PR Profession”, Elikene explained that Spin-Doctoring as a process is a strategic process not just in politics to turn around negative situations for brands and save them from demise. He blamed the negative perception of PR practitioners as Spin-Doctoring to the influx of nonprofessionals in Public Relations claiming many of them are bereft of strategic solutions leading them to replace facts with lies and deception.

According to Elikene, “The father of modern PR, Ivy Ledbetter Lee, made the distinction between PR and other related professions such as Advertising and Journalism, especially when everyone wanted to practice PR leading to wrong practice hence the phrase Spin-Doctors. Today we have many practitioners who are not professionals in PR and the negative connotation of Spin-Doctoring is back.” He said.

He further said: “The denotative meaning of Spin-Doctoring in the dictionary has no negativity attached to it because it is a process that enables professionals innovatively generate solutions using verifiable facts and information and your client benefits from the crisis rather than suffer from it.”

“Take for instance when there was a negative news about Indomie being poisonous, it took great Spin-Doctoring by professionals to turn things around and change the narrative by taking the CEO of the company to the mass-market where he ate uncooked Indomie straight from the pack. TV, print reporters, and photojournalists covered the event and ended the rumour died. The problem is when you apply this strategy to politics it is over sensationalized by vested interest and a lot of negativity and character assassination takes over.” Elikene concluded.

In a related situation the regulatory body overseeing the practice of Public Relations in the country, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is also getting ready to start weeding out practising nonprofessionals.

Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist – Dr Strive Masiyiwa commended the lecture and the Edubrainics Africa Team “This is an awesome venture! So proud of you guys. Well done.” He said.

Music/Radio / Etnik Features OJB Jezreel: Is This The Best Collabo By The Late Producer? by analuwe(m): 8:27am On Jul 12, 2017
I have been reading about this collaboration between a new artiste called Etnik and late producer, OJB Jezreel.
The hype aroused my curiosity and I listened to the song that was taunted in the media as "collabo made in heaven".
To say I love the song is an understatement but I would like to know what others who have also heard the song think.
Is it really the best collabo OJB ever featured on?

Phones / Re: Is This The End Of Etisalat Nigeria? by analuwe(m): 7:48am On Jul 12, 2017
Great post but I have to correct an error.
Etisalat Group, one of the shareholders of the company has left but tthe entity (company) is still very much in operation in Nigeria. A man can change his name but those that mean the man is no more?
Airtel rebranded 5 times: Econet, Vodacom, V-Mobile, Celtel, ZAIN and Airtel.
Rebranding or change of ownership has never been a death sentence rather it is a normal, healthy business transition like the Phoenix which rejuvenates itself anew.
ETISALAT's own case is no different from global business transitions.
The redefined brand comes out better, stronger, positioned and determined to satisfy its customers.
Watch the matrix part 1 to have a perfect understanding of what coming alive does to a brand (neo effect).

Music/Radio / Re: Upcoming Artistes. . . .discuss Here by analuwe(m): 8:04pm On Jul 02, 2017
This are three of my songs.
I featured OJB Jezreel in the first song titled 'The Question', its a blend of dancehall and R&B and everyone has been loving it.
The second song is titled 'Diva Demon' which is a dancehall hit song.
The third song is 'Follow Follow' and I featured GenCool and it was sang in Pidgin' language.
People have been downloading these singles on the MTN network.
I am open to collabos, that is if you listen to my work and you feel we can do something together its all good. I don't take anything for collos neither do I offer any, strickly for the art and skill.

While we celebrate tthe great Bob Marley who lived and died thousands of miles away we should also remember to celebrate stars who lived with us and died recently.

OJB Jezreel died on June 14 and was celebrated on June 15 this year.
I took the time to download and listened to OJB's last featured song before he died and was wow.

The Question by Etnik featuring OJB Jezreel. The song is tight and its the last song OJB featured in before he died. Just downloaded it from MTN - i was asked to send 1032682 to 4100.
It definitely OJB's best collaboration ever
