Christianity Etc › Re: Should People Have The Right To Kill Themselves? by Anas09: 9:52pm On Dec 26, 2018 |
LordReed: I personal don't think it helps to consider this as a legal problem, conversely I do think attempted suicide should be decriminalised, then help/counseling be a matter of policy so that those who contemplate it would have a place to go to seek help.
Pressed on the issue I would say people should have the right. Better to go with dignity than to fall to your inner demons. So, you finally accept there are demons and they are responsible for people's stupid acts? |

Readwarn: To someone who wants to take his or her life.. Suicide is the only solution. It's funny how some people won't allow that as though its affects them negatively How is Life yours? When asleep a five years old can kill you, yer you claim Life is yours? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should People Have The Right To Kill Themselves? by Anas09: 9:46pm On Dec 26, 2018 |
budaatum: Funny enough, I disagree that "People should have the right". That statement is just odd since it implies a right someone has to give to one as opposed to a right one already has. More importantly though, the issue raises uglies where assisted life ending is concerned.
Assisted life ending, or assisted dying, as it's called, is when a person is so incapable of ending their life that they need help. It is illegal in UK so some people go off to Sweden for it. The problem with it is that the vulnerable could be killed off and the killer says they were asked to. The few instances where a partner has gone to Sweden to assist however, they have not been prosecuted on return.
On a personal note, ma, who is so active, is so afraid of pain and being in a vegetative state that years ago she asked me to help her die if she ever got in that state. I strongly informed her that she better do what she has to do before she can't kill herself. I, buda, would find it difficult to go on living knowing I killed ma!
Pa, on the other hand, having had enough at close to a hundred managed to check out all by himself. I was with him his last two years which kept him alive longer than otherwise, but as soon as I returned to UK and he knew I was not returning soon, he refused food and checked out. He was very practical about it and I knew he would so I never told him I was coming back to UK. But I was ill at the time, paralysed waist down, wasting away and trying to ensure I wasn't checked out myself! Pa, knowing him, would say he was sacrificing his life for mine. So, did you get your waist back? Not funny. |

vaxx: The law was abducted from British law. But anyway culturally is an abomination too in Nigeria.....Yoruba people for instance regards it as taboo and anyone who dare it successfully will have is family properly clean( traditionally ) in igbo land it is refer to alu . Mehn, dat is some serious shiiiit in my culture. If someone commits suicide in place, fresh palm fronts are tight in front of his or her compound signifying 'Everyone keep off'. The family becomes an anathema. Anyone who Lives to see what happens to family members and still goes ahead to commit suicide in my place has some serious problem. Since my life, i have known only of one suicide case in my village and was a non-indigene. Even at that, the fresh palm front were tight at the compound he lived. Everyone quickly moved out of there, regarding the place as cursed. The way it's talked abt will scare even the already dead. |

Gloriawinning: No, because Bible said in this life you will experience trials and tribulations but be of good cheer i have overcome the world!! As a strong Christian who is growing deeper daily I'm at a point where I am so steadfast in my faith that I hardly get discouraged, all my trials sometimes make me smile cos Holy Spirit would already walk me through how I will overcome. Praying for anyone in a bad situation right now, Jesus is the answer. There's nothing like 'Strong Christian'. It's either you are a Christian or you are not. There's no half Christian. |

Mikefrik: My prayers to God is my freedom from this sin. The mighty has fallen because of this sin. If you want to be free from any satanic hold, then don't hate, Love. Ask Jesus by His spirit to help you. Don't be daunted if you don't overcome immediately. Even if you keep doing it, hate it. loath it, despise it, don't keep praying foe grace to win. Note, you'd stop, but will find yourself falling sometimes, you hate yourself or the Master, hate the act. Get busy, don't keep wrong companies of people who talk sex all the time, that's the sin of Obscenity. Don't watch porn. Don't watch films with strong sexual scenes. Read the Word of God always. Pray always. When the urge comes, quickly ask the Holy Ghost for help. It gets bad, before it gets better. |

LordReed: Because it was Rome that made Christianity a political and military force. Without which it may not have had the influence it has today. That is the point. Politics and Military force weakened Christianity. Christ never raise His Body to have earthly power. The Catholic Church tried by all means to destroy Christianity, but failed. What most of you don't know is that, Christianity was formidable and completely in control of it borders before satan crashed in. Christianity grows when it's most persecuted, it dies when lies at rest. Rome is not the Capital of Christianity, not even the existing Jerusalem. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is Rome The Christian Capital by Anas09: 3:31pm On Dec 26, 2018 |
alBHAGDADI: Rome is not our capital. Our capital is the Jerusalem which will descend from above during Christ's return.
The Catholic Church in Rome is a pagan establishment and the LovePeddler of Babylon. Flee from it as fast as you can. Thank you sir. Christianity is a Spiritual Kingdom whose Capital is still Spiritual until Christ returns. And like my brother here said, it's call New Jerusalem and it shall descend from Heaven. Anybody wey allow satan deceive am say the Capital of Christianity na Rome, na him sabi. |
