Hi friends in the house, pls I need help. I dont't know what code I pressed that deactivated my Tecno n3 SIM 1. It doesn't discover any SIM put into the SIM 1 slot any more. It shows "DEACTIVATED". How can I activate the sim 1 again? Thanks.

I can tell you for certainty that Airtel and Mtn bb'subscriptions are working perfectly with Android phones. Although it may work faster in some locations than others. My problem is that they are capped with 1gb for airtel. am not sure if mtn is 3gb or less. But both is capped and once you exhuasted your data, you will have to wait for the next month before you will be allowd to make another subscription.

I thought I am the only one having this issue with Infinity Joypad. Mine does exactly like yours. And most annoying and disturbing is the memory problem. It always complain of lack of space. Apps refusing to install on the memory card which is 8gb and the internal memory which is also 4gb. All these are there still the phone is compaining of low space. Why is it so? I tire o!

Truly speaking there's nothing like magic sim. Presently I am using airtel bb complete subscription on my JOYPAD and Tecno n3 with no special configuration. Justputbon your sim and begin yo browse once yout subscriptoon has been confirmed.
As for mtn bb, a friend of mine subscribed and it was not working not until we pull his sim into my bb before it started working on his htc android. I can confidently say that you can use it on android phones, but may not be able to say for sure that it will work on all. A trial will convince you. Good luck!

Dear Gurus in the house, I need your advise pls. I just bought a New Infinix Joypad few days ago only to discover it has been rooted already. I got to know this as I install AVG anti virus: It says the device has been rooted. Am. Confused here. Are there some in the house with the same experience?
Again I want to know the disadvantages and advantages of having a ROOTED Android phone? What is the meaning of Rooting a phone?

My experience with these two set of smart phones and their Data subscriptions as obtainable in Nigeria is as follows:
1.I have come to discover that there's more fun in using Android and other related smart phones than is obtainable with BB. I first got myself a BB because I want to know what all is about.
BB is a good device meant for various purposes; but unfortunately we are not allowed to explore its full potentials. BB conserves data than Android; but Android users enjoy more freedom than BB users. e. g some applications are not allowed or not free on BB but simply available at no cost to Android users.

2.I don't seem to understand why Internet providers seem to give more data to BB users, when in actual fact they don't really need it that much. I was on Glo Comonth and they use to give 3gbts at N1400 .00 for one month. In most cases, I discovered I do not use up to 200 Mb out of it.
This is because they placed some restrictions on it. One of Their Customer-care Agents told on enquiry that if I stream any YouTube video, visit any wap sites or use any browser like Opera, apart from the BB browser, I will be charged from my main account. And they were actually doing that when called them
And it was so. But the question is, why do you say you are giving so so amount of data for so so price and you went ahead to impose restrictions here and there? They said "the Customer is the king". How truthful is that with GSM Operators in Nigeria?

In conclusion, it's obvious that these Network Providers are simply milking Nigerians dry with their so called BB BIS subscriptions. They know quite alright that BB does not burn data as much; but went ahead to increase its volume so to attract unsuspecting masses to their baits. I dare them to extend the same to Android, Ipad and other smart phones users and let us see how generous they truly are.
On the other hand, the NCC should look into these issues critically because Nigerians are forced to pay for the services that were never rendered to them by these greed GSM networks. NCC should encourage CDMA Operators who are in better position to provide internet services at the cheapest rates. NCC should not forget that GSM facilities are not made for the sole aim of providing Internet services as it is today in Nigeria. CDMA does it better.

It's very very slow here in Ilesha. Only one signal on my Tecno N3. I have been attempting to open 3 web site pages; only Nairaland is opening. Others simply ignore me. Honestly I have never known Airtel as a fast internet provider. The first time I bought the Modem some years ago, I had to resell it when it became unbearable. Very slow and annoying. Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God this post is coming on at this time. It’s no doubt that since the announcement by th e FRSC of the new DL and the vehicle plate number, Nigerians have not hidden their fear, displeasure and doubts especially the manner the FRSC has been going about it. Many thought the intervention of the House or Rep. would at least reduce the cost and sufferings which fellow Nigeria will have to face before they are able to meet the criteria being laid down by the FRSC.
As for me I tried to get a fresh DL for myself since I misplaced mine through a friend who could not explain what happened. First I went to FRSC website only to discover there is no online form for fresh DL applicants. I also discovered, fresh DL applicants must go through a driving school who will later present them to FRSC etc. I was able to locate one nearer to my area in the list of list of driving schools approved by FRSC. I obtained application with N1000, Learner’s permit, N600, and Medical certificate from a government Hospital with N2000. We went to the FRSC office only to realize the driving school sponsoring me (so to say) his signature has not been uploaded by the people at Abuja. I went home disappointed.
The man, later connect me with some FRSC officers, he told me I will have to pay N10, 000 instead of the official N6, 350 and I agreed. Only for one of them to tell me later when I called him that it’s now N15, 000. I told him I can’t pay such for a thing that costs N6, 350. Just few days ago, a friend introduced someone to me who promised to get me the old DL for N6000 which will expire in 2015. According to him it will be easier to renew it then. I told him I don’t want fake DL and he assured me it’s not a fake. I have given him the money, expecting him to deliver it to me any moment from now. I will have to verify its authenticity when I see it.
In my own opinion, the FRSC is not helping matters at all. They seem to forget that it’s easier to make new policies in Naija ; but not easy to implement. They should go back to their drawing board. They seem to be taking more than they can chew. Does DL actually prevent road accident? The answer is capital NO!

Guys! I don't think the glo BIS is still working on Laptop/Pc. I've been trying to connect it since Yesterday to no avail. It would just respond "the Remote computer is not responding so it has to stop the connection" or something like that sha. Anyone with idea what's happening?

#Make sure you are not using Operamini browser or any other browsers not supported by Glo. # Remember if you Stream online videos like Youtube glo will charge you from your main Account. #Visiting and downloading from wap sites will equally drain your Main Account. So make you use only the BB internet Browser. However, I think you should call 333 and find out more.

Friends in the house, Is there anyone facing the same difficulty installing SKYPE on both Laptop and Desktop? Since I deleted the first one I installed I have been trying unsuccessfully to re-install it on my PC.

My Samsung E2222(Chat) always complain "DOWNLODED JAR INVALID". And even if I am downloading Jar file like Opera directly from the net it usually cancel downloading midway.
I will like to know how I can download or install Opera and other Jar files in this Samsung E2222.
