Politics › Re: Engineers To Begin Work At Mambilla Hydro-power Project by ANBAKO:
Great news if this is true. Hopefully we will be able to add 3000MW to our national grid.

My concerns here are as follows: The national grid is moribund. It needs total overhaul hence all these will be futile effort.

Secondly, The Chinese are a serious concern. They come here to execute project without leaving any form of skill acquisition, employ zero skilled labor. The laborer that they employ are paid peanuts. These Chinese even come here with Chinese painters, mason plumbers etc. I pray Ngige will look into this and make sure human resources from Nigeria are well represented.

For the man asking where the water is? River Niger or Benue.....Mambilla is in Taraba....Does River Niger pass through Taraba?

@ uwunuken @ spicyjosbabe Thanks you for the correction. Mambilla is in Taraba.

There is no commotion here.

The guy knew he f-ed up and he is begging for forgiveness. Better than a lot of guys that will be suffering in silence all because they are claiming "bigboyism"

Nice one op. This is a great piece and I am happy I practice virtually all except one - Negotiation and re-negotiation.

After reading this, I called someone that I had a negotiation with yesterday on a job and had a renegotiation. I got another 12% discount!!!!

Thanks once again.

Science/Technology › Re: Between Albert Einstein And Thomas Edison Who Contributed More To The World? by ANBAKO: 8:18am On Sep 03, 2016
Einstein I believe. He is a thinker, innovator, philosopher, an all round scientist. Edison is more of a businessman and capitalist with passion to bring great things to life through its General Electric.

I think the best comparation will have been between Einstein and Tesla

This comparison of yours is like Comparing Dangote to Dogara!!!!

greatbrian:
I happen to know the school, its along iyin road in Ado ekiti. And the owner z a man who knows ntin abt betting. He hv a waec and jamb coaching centre and a cybercafe. It was prior to tryna make z coaching centre and cafe name catch customers feeling he decided on that name. And when he wanted to start a school, he decided naming the school alongside z other bizness venture. Anyway tnx OP for cheap publicity of the mans school I rili hope dz brings customer. Coz his a good man
Don't mind them!!!

People just don't understand simple English anymore.

This is simple English.

Let us reason along a grammatical line.

"sure-bet" is a more like an idiom!!!

for example: This land will appreciate in value in 2 years, that is a sure bet.

Unfortunately, betting has clouded our judgement!!!!
Politics › Re: Itsekiri Urge FG To Deal With Militants And Their Sponsors by ANBAKO: 7:45am On Aug 30, 2016
So there is no unity in The Republic of Niger Delta.

Nigeria is a great country and we can be greater if we manage our diversity and turn it to a plus.

There can be no homogeneous "country" if any is created from present Nigeria. Hence the issues of diversity in present Nigeria will still persist in not well managed
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Few Tips To Help You Write A Great CV by ANBAKO: 7:44am On Aug 30, 2016
health2wealth:
Challenge: Stop Sharing CV, Start Sharing Proposals.
If you are a graduate and it is your practice to share your CV around, I want to challenge you to use your potential and not your credential. I want to put you on a one month challenge and I will accept the risk of losing my money. You are going to do two things.
1. Photocopy your credential as many as you want for sharing in the month of September.
2. I will give you 20 copies of proposals for sharing in the month of September but you must deposit One Thousand Naira for ID card and as a trustee for our proposals and other items.

You will spend like one or two days a week to go out and submit both your CV and the proposals to companies, organizations and schools.
At the end of the month, if you get a well-paying job, I will give you Two Thousand Naira plus compensation for transport.
If you don’t get a well-paying job, I will give you your One Thousand Naira back and you will only get 50% of revenue from successfully processes service from all the proposal you submitted against our normal 70% payout.

For more information, terms and conditions or to enter the challenge, check my signature below. You will receive an instant message in your email. Just follow the instruction.
How does having CV debar one from being an entrepreneur? Even successful entrepreneurs have CV.

CV and proposals are 2 different things.

Good luck in your hustle!!!

Hexzyz:
I am weary of this tip, that tip, I have formated my CV countless times. Yet I haven't received any tangible offer. It is well.
Seems you don't know what CVs do.
CV doesn't give offer, it gets you invite to interviews, phone or physical or tests.

Your ability in interviews is another skill on its own independent of your CV.

ireneony:
You don't need to stress your self writing cv.
i for example uses perfectCV.
there are alot of free online cv.
I disagree with you. Templates gives mainly designs and format. One needs to write their CV but not copy from somewhere.

Even if copied, you need to "make" it yours

What is this again?

When will Nigerians take action based on principle and not based on the highest bidder?

I am so sure that the woman in the last picture does not even understand what is on the placard.

Ask them, who is Dogara and who is Jubrin! You will be shocked by their answers.

You better go back to the market or else all your tomatoes and peppers will rot away....

Nonsense!!!
Politics › Re: How FIRS Plans To Generate N4.9Trillion To finance 2016 Budget by ANBAKO: 7:56am On Aug 29, 2016
If everyone pays tax and all loopholes are blocked, I even believe we can do better.

Unfortunately, people are not motivated to pay tax because nothing is on ground to justify this huge amount that is being paid.

Also corruption and fraudulent activities in this tax agencies is alarming.

I pray we get there

I hope there will be a vibrant transmission system in place to take up this huge amount of power and without over 50% loss in transmission.

Presently our transmission system cannot take up 10GW .....it will collapse.

Good new anyways
