Good day peeps,

Under the form (Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)), do I fill in my father, mother and siblings' details, as I am not married yet?

OR should I fill in only my details and ignore the the rest.
A bit confused here as the application guide pointed dependants being one's own family (i.e wife and kids).
Since you are not married, complete the form for yourself, father, mother kids (if any), brothers and sisters.....this is very important. Make sure that the info provided are correct because this will be in CIC database and will be revisited when any of your sibling is planning to visit u in future. Good luck.

Hello guys,

Quick question pls. The work experience section in the new imm008_3e form section 12b does not have a tick box for jobs less than one year (October - June). Someone suggested I tick 1year, do you agree too?
I will just write in main duty column that " ssee attached sheet for experience less than one year."do not tick anything oo....it might amount to false declaration.complete the from-to section and add a sheet for comprehensive info. Good luck.

Hallo everyone, my package will be ready for posting by Wednesday the 19 Nov. My dilemma is my NOC has 469 complete application. should I go on or choice another NOC?
What is your NOC presently and which NOC are you planning to switch to.My advise is that you go online and search for FSWP global spreadsheet. This is a spreadsheet of global applicants collated through canadavisa.com. From there you can have an idea of number of people who have appliced to a particular NOC till date. As this spreadsheet is just a reference and it does not represent exact figures of applicant, hence to estimate number of applicants....multiply the figure on the apresdsheet by 2 to give you a conservative estimate. GOod luck.

Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it. God bless you. Any special reason while you choose CES?

I just looked through CES application...pls shed more light on the ffg pointers below. Thanks

Your application for a CES Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) Educational Credential Assessment Report will require:
• A completed and signed CES application form...
• A colour photocopy of your government-issued photo identification showing your date of birth
• A colour photocopy of both sides of the final award for each completed degree, diploma or certificate in its original
language with official English or French translation (if applicable)
• A colour photocopy of both sides of your academic records (transcripts, statements of marks) for each completed
program of study in their original language and official English or French translation (if applicable)

Your application for a CES Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) Educational Credential Assessment Report will require:
• A completed and signed CES application form...i understand this.

I chose CES because their conditions are favourable to me. My educational certificates are not in English, requires a lot of translation. They did not request for certified translators hence I did the translation through a friend. They also had a good turnaround time then. I did everything within 4 weeks.

For any of the evalution organizations, you need to get your transcript. You need to contact your institution to forward your transcript to CES. I dont know how you will process that because I dont know the Nigerian system. One thing i know (from guys here) is that you need to push for this and need to be very proactive about it. A lot of people here on the forum has done that. You will also need to send the copies of your certificate and transcript to the evaluation organization separately.....
Which institution did you graduate from? Maybe there are people here that can give you heads up.

Good luck.

Thanks for the speedy reply...OK..on to IELTS...will update you guys...what about my ECA? do I start to process that immediately? Can you give me a website for that?
Thanks already.
There are 3 organizations that can do ECA.
CES - http://learn.utoronto.ca/international-professionals/comparative-education-service-ces/immigration

ICAS - http://www.icascanada.ca/fsw/home.aspx

WES -http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/

Read through their websites to see their various conditions and choose anyone that favours you. I used CES because of their favourabke condition. I think most people use WEs. For ielts don't forget that you need to write general test and not academic test. Start your educational evaluation immediately.

Guys please I need your help. Went to GTB onyijolemi yesterday to request for draft. Only for them to test me that due to technical issue all draft in Canadian dollar cannot be issue now until further notice. Please what can I do? I don't want to use credit or debit card
House,

For those of us who used bank draft and submitted their application, I hope this "technical issue" will not affect CIC from cashing our bank drafts.
Please can someone get confirmation from GTB through GTConnect that the technical issue will not have any effect. I would have call myself but I am out of the country presently.

Thanks.

Hi House,

Please I have a question about POF. I had planned to use my pension savings statement and a Bank certification letter as my proof of funds but after going through this thread, I am having second thoughts. this is because I doubt the pension savings statement will be accepted and I couldn't get the Bank certification letter from GTB today.

I do not have enough funds in my current account or savings account for a family of four. I can move money from my savings account to my current account and the funds should be okay. My issue now is that I'm worried that a flag may be raised cos of the amount (2.5M). Please note that I do not want to print a statement of my savings account because there is rarely any activity on that account and most deposits there are not in my name.

I already transferred the money from my savings account to the current and the balance is enough for a family of four. I intend to print the statement tomorrow and submit my application probably mid November as I am still awaiting my Oct. 2nd IELTS results.

Please advice.
You have nothing to worry about. Just print what you have. Since the money is coming from your savings account it will reflect your name which is a perfect thing to understand. I did the same thing too. I transfered from my account with another bank to GTB. Per RSA, there is a new law that you van access 25% of your savings. This van be a boost. I added My RSA. Account to my application to compliment gtb statement. Good luck

Could you let us know banks in Nigeria that issue DD in Canadian dollars so we explore this option rather than the unpredictable nature of using the debit card. More so, what happens to the DD just in case your application is unsuccessful?

All in the name of having a perfect processing.
I did my diploma and Bsc in the same university. The diploma (satelite campus) had to be done to gain the admission then. Though it was done as a direct entry to the university.
I only sent my BSc to WES and it has been evaluated to four years equivalent. Mind you, I started from 200level in the university (3yrs in all).
Now, do I include my diploma along with my BSc with ECA in the package?
If yes, can I use notification of result? As I don't have a ceritficate
OR should I omit the diploma?

Thanks
My personal opinion is that if you have enough points without the diploma, please don't add it. I had a ND, BSc and MSC but only use the latters for application. What is ECA's evaluation?

Hello House,

Damkollins, Solomonwis, and others, please I need your honest advice. I think i need to act fast to avert possible decline or delay. My application was received on June 30 and I'm yet to be debited.
I have been monitoring the order of CC charging on another forum since its "first cone first served" and found out some hours ago that July 7 applications are being charged at the moment. I assumed the charging was done on a week by week basis, June 30-July 4 being in the same week.

I am now guessing they are having difficulty charging my card since my app hasn't been returned. I use a First Bank MasterCard. I contacted my closest branch but he guy i met seemed clueless. Is it possible to contact Interswitch directly? What should I do pls? I do not want to more miss the chance having waited for so long. I know CIC will only try 3 rimes before they return your app. Pls help!!!
I will advise you to take it cool. There are applicants of late June that are still being charged. Never loose hope. You said you want to act fast. Then I think you need to contact your bank. Call their Customer service people, Go to a branch or something. Is your card interswitch? Call interswitch too. You need to act very fast.

Personally, I think this is a lesson learnt for potential applicants: It is better to use a credit (not debit) card or Bank draft. With the case above, there can be failure from either Mastercard, Interswitch or First bank.

I share your pain but I pray it will turn to good news and happiness.

Can I just mention their names in the application and tick NO where they asked if dependent is accompany you to Canada? or what do I do?

Thank you.
So far you have 4 kid, then your proof of fund must reflect family of 6 (4 kids, you and spouse) either accompanying or not. Tick as you wish when ask if dependents are accompanying you or not.
Bottom line prepare proof of fund for family of 6.
Good luck.
