My Application Details
Submitted my application April 13th
Upfront Medicals 19th May
Additional Documents uploaded 10th August
Eligibility review 11th August
Rejected the NSE request,
BVL 13th August
Long pause and wait
PPR dropped 1st September
My background check still reads “we are processing “ it didn’t change since I submitted my application.

Documents uploaded
Passport page
Imm forms something funny happened, it made me worried, I couldn’t submit one of the forms I think imm5257 it kept refusing to submit I downloaded like plenty times filled and uploaded but it refused, I just left it since it was optional and didn’t submit it.
Birth certificate
Statement of result
Nysc certificate
Waec
University transcript
Appointment letter from my last job (I’m not currently working and I stated it, was a bit scared this would not work in my favor but I explained why I stopped working due to some family issues and eventually decided to concentrate on my application)
Reference letter from previous employer
Police Character
Picture of me at work
Proof of finance from sponsor my aunt (from an investment company of her mutual funds, this really scared me as it wasn’t a bank but God helped me oh, all my fasting, novenas and prayers worked)
Letter of sponsorship from sponsor
Affidavit of sponsorship
Landed property of sponsor
Receipt of first semester paid
Aunts marriage certificate to show surname
Family Pictures
Aunt’s international passport
My 4 page SOP

NOTE;
I had an agent that advised me on documents to compile and helped edit my SOP and Aunts Sponsorship letter, so I handled my application myself, and I submitted it before coming to naira land, honestly I got scared when I joined, seeing the documents a lot of people put in their application I felt mine wasn’t enough, also her statement of account and international passport had her maiden name (my surname in it) I don’t know if that also helped, after some time I reached out to some monikers like Emeka and @shupy who also really helped me with good advice, I was patient and prayed that’s all I could do eventually I noticed that my NSE request was still showing till after a month, then I had to write a letter to explain why I wouldn’t be going the route because the investment company isn’t listed and I also got a letter from the company stating my aunt would sponsor me and she can redraw from her account anytime( I think this really helped my application) because I didn’t submit this letter earlier. So after waiting I still sent a webform of the letter from the investment company so it’ll be added to my application, sent it in July and it uploaded and they acknowledged they received it in August 11th I have a feeling this is what delayed my application even after BVL came almost 3weeke before my final result.
In conclusion it was God all through because my application was far from perfect, I didn’t submit any personal bank statement or ownership of any property (this made me scared) but In the End I left it in Gods hands.
I wish you all the best and thanks to everyone who has helped, and also people that post their timelines, honestly it helps a lot, I hope mine helps and encourages someone

Please how much is upfront medical and where in Lagos can I do it

I think the two places you can do them in lagos is Q-life or IOM office, you can check online on iom website to book and you’ll see the price

It says uploaded not submitted, then beneath it, you can see the attached docs

If you go down you would see a “NEXT” button click on it, that is to sign then submit by clicking the “transmission” button

Just relax okay. Correspondence Letter is a Final step in the journey. The trick is, if you get correspondence letter and it takes more than 48days( without holidays) and you haven't got any other letter, then the letter that will come later must be PPR. There is usually no delay whatsoever in posting Refusal. So, go and start your Preparations.

Amen thanks so much for the positivity. I would be praying and hoping for a positive response

A week after receiving correspondence letter from ircc still no news, I keep sending webforms and emails. School resuming 2 weeks plus. I really pray a positive news comes. Mps I contacted said they can only help people presently in their province.
I know God would bring a positive response.

Normally it isn't expected to be more than 24hours but we've seen some exceptional cases which yours is one of them.

But one thing common to all the exceptional cases is the eventual PPR.
All you can do is raising webform.

Just go dey pack your bags, it's a done deal.

Amen I really pray so!!! I have been sending webforms and emails. Thank you

Just got this from nairobi office, saying my application is under review but my eligibility hasn’t started, may 19th applicant. Does this mean my application can be touched without getting an update in my gc key portal?

I'm sorry man.
@bolded and on the contrary, it takes some level of courage to let everyone know your application was denied. Application refusal is actually more common than approval. Like I stated sometime ago, nairaland doesn't show the true reality. It is easy to let everyone know you got PPR. I can't say the same for application refusal.
You obviously already know you need to order your GCMS note. I'm guessing concerns were raised regarding 3rd party sponsor. Sufficient balance is not the only factor looked at. Demonstrating genuine access to it is also important. Your uncle needs to show some level of commitment by paying your tuition fee even if it is first semester, and/or transfer fund for living expenses to you. You can also consider GIC arrangement (I personally prefer having the fund in a dormiciliary USD account, it just seems more convincing than having it in a naira account). And yes, if you're a salary earner, submit the account even if the balance is low. Print when you're paid sha. Wishing you all the best.

NB: (Even if all this is done, you still need to submit your uncle's statement of account)

What if you are not a salary owner and your sponsor got a letter from the establishment(money market) saying they can access the funds and your first semester fee has been paid, do I need to still bother about not submitting my account statement

it's always necessary to submit your personal account and any personal assets. Very important, however small it may be.
Meanwhile, order for your GCMS notes to find out the way they derived the Financial status verdict

Please I just sent you an email

Hello Everyone,
Please I need help on what to do, I applied April 17th I got NSE request but since my proof of funds is in a money market investment platform, I just got a letter from them and uploaded on that place, after a month, the area for additional document said not applicable, it’s still showing till now, I was thinking they would ignore and go the normal route, but no changes to my application yet, I have done my upfront medicals which is passed but my eligibility review hasn’t started, and I don’t know if they are still expecting me to upload Mybankstatement before moving forward with my application, I’m a bit confused, do I need to write a letter stating they should ignore the NSE request? Or they’ll automatically do that, please any advice would be appreciated.

Hello house, I wanted to ask if showing proof of funds must be from a bank, because my aunt who is my sponsor, The funds available is in an investment company which I presented, also added landed properties, and she wouldn’t want to pull out the funds till it’s time for payment, I have also made my first semester payment, but now that I am eligible for nse, can I just get the statement again and attach a letter saying they are not amongst the bank listed but still showing the money available, because her personal savings account i wanted to previously add, wouldn’t have that sort of amount in it for the period of my application.
Please I need advice

My little suggestion is add everything plus the tuition fee receipt and with a letter explaining what you faced while trying to get the mbs

Thanks for the reply, any more suggestions would be appreciated

A solid prove of fund must come from a "recognised" banking institution. What you've provided might not even be recognised. You better transfer the fund to a bank and attach a letter explanation to your bank statement.

The issue is at the moment she can’t transfer the funds but my first semester has been paid, and also She has money in her first bank, but there’s no first bank on the website, so can I get the bank statement of her first bank and attach the previous statement also, then explain that since they needed from a bank I decided to add the first bank? Does that work
