Dayo has always been a fool right from his days in OOU Mass Com. I always felt he was bit of a talkative and he has not changed. Look at the disgrace he has brought himself by yapping about his masters. He could have used that 4.8 Million to travel to Canada like Deolu his classmate in OOU then. If Atiku makes a mistake of choosing a wrong VP, he is gone. Most Nigerians are suffering under Buhari inspite of Billlions recovered by the EFCC and they don’t care if corruption can return so that they can eat again. Also, majority of Christians don’t trust a Buhari Presidency notwithstanding the fact that the VP is a Pastor(I am a yoruba Christian and I don’t trust Osinbajo to protect my right when it matters).

This problem has created a way for a crazy Fayose who can look the sultanate in the face and protect Christians from persecution to be picked up and used to whip up the necessary sentiments to “rock” the campaign. Atiku should avail himself of the opportunity of choosing a strong VP who can help him pull votes from all parts of the South (I believe the igbos would still support Fayose, he is their man Friday).

Atiku can also pick a Ben Murray Bruce who is rumored to be in the race and is being vetted by the campaign. Murray Bruce is from the SS and that is still acceptable to most people from the SW (the ones that ain’t bigoted). Mr Bruce would also be able to galvanize the upwardly mobile youths of Nigeria behind the Atiku as he is very active on social media. Overall, we all wish Atiku the best of luck in his campaign as the need for a counter balancing force in our polity cannot be overemphasized. Ultimately, Mr. Atiku would have to make the very important choice as it relates to his running mate as that will play an important part in getting the nationwide support of the Nigerian people.

We are all tired of Buhari and will be glad to be rid of his reign if Atiku can play his cards right. All Nigerians are watching his every move as he proceeds with his campaign.

Atiku irrespective of the corruption allegations hanging on his neck is a good candidate any day anytime who can give Buhari a run for his money already but he has a new problem:the igbos have already hijacked his campaign and seek to be made VP. With this problem, Atiku is already seen as an anathema in the SW, a very important voting block in Nigeria. The Hausas would also have an aversion to him seeing that the groundswell of his support is from the east.

The solution now is for Atiku to choose a VP candidate from either the SS/SW. I would urge he chooses his candidate from the SS as Yoruba already have the VP spot with osibanjo and it might not look well if another Yoruba man is chosen as his VP candidate. However, if Atiku chooses Fayose as his VP, Buhari would have a lot of problems as Fayose is Christian and more radical than the Pastor we have there now. The Atiku campaign with Fayose on the ticket can also play on the religious bias of the Buhari Presidency. That would give the campaign more gravitas and bite.

Conversely, if Atiku wants to end his political career in disgrace and lose very surely and easily to Buhari, he can choose an Igbo VP and incur the wrath of millions of Nigerians.

This is my own analysis of the Atiku conundrum in 2019.

NB: I have not addressed the problem posed by Obasanjo so I can be excused on that score.
