Illimitable: That’s not what I read.
I saw someone wrote he has never made a mistake with his legs.
When the correct statement should have been the mistakes he makes with his feet have never been punished. Can you make reference to the quote? |

Expert17: Pep is not double-tongued, he will always pick Messi as his best talent/player, and Busquets as the best DM.... nothing will change this fact You know him but some people don't. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 8:24pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Illimitable: The crux of this discourse is that he makes no mistakes with his legs. He does but he’s not been punished for it.
These are two different matters. Has Ederson made mistakes or miskick a ball? Yes. Has he been punished for the mistake? No
Lack of punishment does not mean he hasn’t made a mistake. You're changing the argument. Everybody makes mistakes. You cannot point to 2 let alone 1 with Ederson's legs that led to a goal. |

Expert17: Pep worked with Neuer @Bayern and Valdes @Barcelona. When he was asked to pick the best, he mentioned Ederson. I was going to mention that but I did not want people to say "what did you expect him to say?" |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 8:11pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Illimitable: Inconsequential mistake.
If any outfield player made that mistake leading to a shot on target, you would curse him out.
But the majestic Ederson has no blame if he misplaces a kick that barely missed the target.
Everybody makes mistakes. I am not saying he gets no blame. I am saying it is not that big a deal if it did not lead to a goal. |

FirstbornWds: I know Ederson has a world record. But the distribution of Neuer and that too, in a time when forwards were brutal and bullies, is one heck of thing to be jealous about. Valdez excelled with short passes. He knows where the ball should be. Neuer is decent both short and long. Ederson is excellent in both. He not only has range but he knows where the ball should be. He can hit it at the right speed and angle. Neuer is a freak of nature. The best keeper in the last 15 years in terms of checking all the boxes. |

Illimitable: He said passing from the back. He didn’t specify what body part was used to pass the ball. Come on. We are talking about his legs here. If this were about keeping with your hands, Alisson, De Gea, Courtois, Neuer, Oblak are better than him. |

Illimitable: He’s made mistakes with his legs, failing to control a simple back pass and then having to make a last ditch effort to prevent an own goal.
There’s no keeper in the world immune to making mistakes when passing from the back. Strikers are so smart that they would lure you into a trap and the best GKs in the world become victims. Did it lead to a goal? Everyone miscalculates on passes. Even Zidane has lost the ball when receiving a pass. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:53pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Expert17: Yeah, he was converted to a GK.
Neuer is better in sweeping and goalkeeping generally, but you see that playing from the back, Ederson is still clear. Neuer is the better keeper no arguments but when it comes to using their legs to kick the ball, Neuer is not at Ederson's level. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:52pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
FirstbornWds: Noooo. This is very wrong. Very very wrong.
Neuer is goated in that department. In fact, he was practically a deep playing (4) (jokes) but he was very good. Only reason we are having this conversation is because Neuer was eqailly a very fine shot stopper that Ederson isn't. hahaha. Ederson is the record-holder. I mean, Guinness world record holder for his range of passes for a keeper. Pep even said he noticed Ederson when Bayern played Benfica years back. Ederson's anticipation and reflexes are average which is why he was only 35M. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:50pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Illimitable: He has 6 errors leading to a goal and he’s conceded 3 penalties in his PL career. Pep’s style of play protects Ederson. They hug possession 70-80% of the time. It’s difficult to expose Ederson to mistakes. The errors being referred to are with his legs. He has almost zero if any. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:49pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
FirstbornWds: Smiles. This is surely recency bias. You forget that Victor was one of the major pioneer goalkeepers that modernize this ball-playing GK and was pivotal for our ball playing game when Puyol was still bang average in that department. Valdez is good. I am not saying he is not. I am saying Ederson's range exceeds his. The cross-bar challenge that teams do, Ederson and KdB always win it at City. Ederson wins over Rodri, Bernardo etc. That should tell you something. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:47pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Expert17: Ederson and error-prone in the same sentence
Despite his risky style, if we count his mistakes @ City, it won't be up to 5. Ederson is a midfielder disguised as a keeper. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:46pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
FirstbornWds: There's no GK dead or alive that knew how to play the ball like Valdez, and this is not a debate. The only GK that came close was Neuer. Neuer is not even as good as Ederson with his legs. It is just that Neuer is so good at his reflex, strength, anticipation and then his legs are decent that overall he is just the best choice. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:42pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
FirstbornWds: Valdez will, and easily too. Not at all. Valdez is very good at 1 v 1 but he is more error prone than Ederson and is not near Ederson with his legs. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:41pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
Karleb: Make una stop the debate, Allison would start ahead of Ederson anyday.
If Allison signs for City today, Ederson is chopping bench straight up. Actually, City signed Ederson when Allison was still available. Allison is better at reflexes and with his hands but that is about it. He is not near Ederson with his legs. It just depends on what the manager prioritizes. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Android22: 7:38pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
FirstbornWds: The only goalkeepers that can displace Edersom from that Pep City is Manuel Neuer and Barcelona's Victor Valdez.
Even prime Casillas or Van Der Sar cannot displace him.
Not saying he's better but considering that Ederson fits into his system very well. Only Neuer will replace Ederson. |

I don't even know why this is giving you all headaches sef
Shebi Obi will steal Atiku's votes, and all the SW and North will vote Tinubu? It should be a good thing that he's visiting churches sef
The more churches he visits, the more Atiku cries. Does PO attend Paul Enenche's church every Sunday? Is that his spiritual father? Why did he go there? I said it was a religio-political move (not that it is wrong) but you tried to imply that attending churches on Sundays is what Christians do abi no be so? Let me arrange your points for you so I can show you why that is more divisive, religion-wise, than what you think Tinubu did. |

izzou: Okay, you lied. Just don't have the balls to type it. I accept you apology
And for the record, I have not come anywhere to drag Tinubu that he is dividing the country. I only respond when people like you come with the Obi agenda. It makes me question your objectivity to issues.
We are talking about religions here. You cleverly carved out Catholics from Christianity. If not to pass this agenda, I don't know what for
I said it the other time that Tinubu just have Obi an agenda to exploit. It is what it is. Even Buhari with his Islamization accusations, never tried it.
Very soon, Elrufai will pick a Northerner as his vice, and you will blame a Southerner for dividing the country because he attended his village meeting.
No be every agenda suppose fly, sir. Some, just accept it doesn't make sense and move on Did PO visit Paul Enenche's church? Issa simple sturve. You just danced around it like musical chairs. Of course, I carved out Catholicism from Christianity so you won't try to hoodwink people that going to any random church is tantamount to what PO does on a regular like any Roman catholic I know. Yea, you have no agenda. You did not say Tinubu selecting Shettima was a Muslim Muslim candidature foisted to divide Nigeria. Like you're not hyperventilating now because I mentioned how Jonathan took it to new levels and Okwute is basically emulating him. |

If you can't find it, kindly admit you lied so we can move on to something else. I name-dropped for you so we won't waste each other's time with sophistry. If you want to pretend you did not see it that is on you. To avoid any doubt, the videos of POs sojourn to Paul Enenche's church is strewn online. If that is not a campaign, then no politician has ever campaigned in his life. Maybe you will in the same vein show us how selecting a running mate is dividing the country. Especially when the people complaining already were never going to vote for said candidate regardless of who his running mate was. |

izzou: I am not sure you read what you just posted. I don't think you did.
Tinubu is contesting for presidency. A country with about 50% Christians. He picked a Muslim as his vice, and you say he is not dividing us across religious lines.
Then another person that is a Christian, visiting his own faith, is the one dividing us across religious lines
Show us where Obi asked Christians to vote for him. Infact, show us where Obi was/is campaigning in any church
I strongly believe you did not read what you typed. You're clearly at sea with all I have presented above. Tinubu picked Shettima. You are the one (on record saying you'll vote Obi and then Atiku in that order) who told me that Shettima is Muslim. Obi is Roman Catholic. He ought to go to roman catholic churches for his Sunday mass like he has always done. Going to see Oyedepo, Enenche etc. for photo-ops and subtle endorsement is what if not a religio-political move? What does PO have in common with both men except their palpable and oftentimes nonsensical hatred for this present govt? |

izzou: People are starting to ask questions now, rather than just shouting Sai Baba like 2015.
We have seen more interviews from Presidential candidates even before the campaign kickoff compared to the past
If Buhari was giving interviews like this in 2015, he would have come second in that election.
We don dey ask questions now. Na my point be that Una just no wan gree say GEJ lose that election fair and square. If the elections held 50 times, Buhari will win all in increasing measure. People don't like addressing the elephant in the room but the reality is, Jonathan lost 2015 despite all the rigging they tried to do for him. The other day you were talking about dividing the country across religious lines and I wanted to ask you what that means. Tinubu selected Shettima as his running mate, it is the people who don't want to vote for Tinubu that brought up the religion of his running mate and juxtaposed it with Tinubu's - Tinubu himself did not do it. Peter Obi going to every church whether pentecostal or penterascal to get them to endorse him - that is how to divide a country across religious lines. He learnt this from Jonathan. For Tinubu to be dividing the country across religious faults, you have to show him going to mosques to take over the mic and then campaign for himself. You have to show him basically asking his fellow Muslims to vote for him - because he is Muslim. You have to show him meeting Imams, sheikhs, religious authorities in his clan, and then asking them to tell their followers and disciples to vote him exclusively on that preserve. He has done none of such. It is Peter Obi that has been doing so. Make una talk truth sometimes even if it is bitter like Alomo. |
