Respected cleric and founder of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F Kumuyi has called on his members to stop celebrating Christmas, saying that it is idolatry....

The pastor in a message broadcasted live said the birth of Christ should not only be celebrated just once in year but everyday. Kumuyi who decried how people squander millions just to celebrate ‘a one-day Christmas’ told his congregation to seek first the kingdom of God, noting that all other things would be added unto them.

Meanwhile, DailyPost observation shows that for the first time in history, members of Deeper Life would be celebrating Christmas at home, unlike in the past where they would camp till Boxing Day, December 26. This year’s retreat, which started December 19 ended on Sunday, 22.

Founder of “As The Lord Said, It Should Be Done Temple”, Pastor Blessed Oguguamakwa Dikeh seems to be in the mould of those who are out to challenge the status quo. He has declared that Christians should forget about the second coming of Jesus Christ (rapture), saying that it would never come to pass....

In his words: “There is nothing like hell fire after life. Heaven is here on earth already. When you are suffering, you are in hell fire. If you are in poverty and cannot pay your house rent then you are already in hell. But when you are in heaven, even if you reside in a flat, your landlord will come and beg you for money. He would even say don’t worry, I will give the other tenant quit notice for you.”

In an Interview with Daily Independent, Pastor Dikeh further insisted that:
“There is nothing like rapture. If you tell me that rapture means when a person dies, his soul goes back to God and his flesh to the dust, then I will agree, but anything other than that, I don’t agree. Don’t let anybody deceive you.

He also stated (like the Jehovah Witnesses) that there’s no hell fire after death.

Pastor Dikeh also dropped another controversial statement:
“I pray in the name of God, because my father, Adam, did not pray in Jesus’ name. Jesus is a servant like me. He has finished his assignment and has gone. I am a servant too. When I finish my work, I will go. Jesus has done a good job, but I have problem with people who are giving him the honour that is not due him. If you say Jesus is the saviour of the whole world, who then is God?”
The pastor recently came under heavy criticism by Nigerians over his strange biblical beliefs and the purported serving of alcohol to members in his church.

SIX boys suspected to be members of a cult known as Blue Angel, have allegedly gang Molested a 16-year-old secondary school student in Akure, Ondo State capital....


The boys, who reportedly recorded the act with their mobile phone, while taking their turns on the girl, threatened to upload it on the Internet if she dares to report them to her parents or the Police. However, two of the alleged rapists have been arrested by officials of the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, while four others are on the run.

The victim (names withheld) said that the six boys blindfolded her and threatened to rip her open with knife if she failed to cooperate. Those arrested include Banjo Olasehinde, 25, A.K.A. Obanje Babalowo Sherry and Adewale Fadunsi, 28, a fashion designer.

Those on the run include Tope Oluwole; Tope, A.K.A Jigan and Muyideen, a.k.a. Gbem. Spokesman of NSCDC in the state, Kayode Balogun, said one of the suspects, Banjo Olasehinde, has confessed to the crime and the fact that they belong to a cult group known as Blue Angel.

According to Balogun, the suspect said they saw the girl on her way from school when one of them invited her for a chat and the six of them Molested her.

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, western Nigeria have intensified efforts to recover all the stolen babies allegedly bought by an Onitsha-based human trafficker who was arrested in Lagos last Monday for purchasing a stolen two-year old baby....
This followed the confessional statement made by the trafficker, Mrs. Grace Onye, 52. Onye told the police that she specialises in the illegal business of buying babies in Lagos for sale to those who required them.
In her confession, she admitted that it was not her first time of coming to Lagos to buy babies, adding that she had been coming to Lagos to buy babies in the past three years. She told the police that she sold all the babies to those in need, especially barren women.
She was arrested along with her customer, 45-year old Mrs. Ngozi Ikeh who is barren and needed a child.
They were arrested at Ikotun in the morning while going back to Ontisha with a stolen baby sold to them for N300,000 by their contact man who is now at large.
The suspects confessed that they had a contact man simply identified as Samuel who usually lodged them at Francis Inn Hotel located at Abiola Adeyemi Street, Igando Road, Ikotun whenever they are in Lagos to buy babies. Grace confessed further that it was in that hotel that Samuel brought the baby and collected N300,000.
Joy Olowolade, the two-year old stolen baby was allegedly kidnapped at 6, Oladunjoye Street, off Igando Road, Ikotun Lagos.
Samuel abducted the baby at the stated address in a dramatic form around 4 p.m. on Monday when he threw a banger in the compound where Joy was playing with other kids.
The sound of the banger caused confusion in the compound and the children ran away in different directions. When the dust settled, Joy was nowhere to be found.
Her elder sister, Eniola Olowolade, after a frantic search for her, alerted her parents, Ayodele and Funke Olowolade, of her disappearance.
Funke explained that one of her neighbours confirmed that she saw the man who snatched the baby during the confusion that greeted the explosion of the banger.
Olowolade and neighbours later arranged themselves in groups to look for the missing baby. They searched for Joy in every house and street in the neighbourhoods but could not find her.
Narrating her experience, Funke stated: “It all happened like a dream, Joy told me she was hungry and I was preparing her food when she went out to play with her friends in the compound. Within the twinkling of an eye Eniola rushed in to tell us that somebody threw a banger in the compound and everybody ran away. She said she didn’t see Joy when the commotion died down.
“We searched all the nooks and crannies till midnight. She was nowhere to be found,” Funke said.
At about 4 a.m. the following day, the Olowolades and their neighours moved round the streets again looking for Joy. They saw a woman walking briskly and carrying a baby on her back with her friend. Somebody shouted the name of the missing baby and Joy answered ‘ma.’
Immediately the baby answered, the trafficker and her friend ran. They tried to drop the baby but they were caught by the rescuers. They were beaten and later handed over to the police at Ikotun division who transferred them to the SCID for further investigation.

A man believed to be a fan of Manchester United Football Club committed suicide Saturday night in Nairobi’s Pipeline estate after the team lost 1-0 to Newcastle.....

Police said John Jimmy Macharia aged 23 jumped to his death from the 7th floor of a building he was after learning his team had lost in the Saturday evening match.
According to Nairobi County police chief Benson Kibue, Macharia told his friends he could not stand and watch the team beaten in a row before he leapt down dying on the spot.
“All witness accounts suggest he committed suicide because the team lost but officers are still talking to those who were with him as part of the investigations into the incident,” he said.

South Africa is preparing for the arrival of scores of world leaders as the official mourning continues for Nelson Mandela. Some 60 heads of state have confirmed their attendance at this week’s memorial events, including US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama....




They will be joined by former US Presidents George W Bush, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and their wives. Prime Minister David Cameron will attend the main memorial service on Tuesday, while Prince Charles will represent Britain at Sunday’s state funeral. The leaders of France, Australia, Germany, Canada, Spain, Brazil and a host of other nations will also fly into the country. A large structure used for ceremonies is built at Mr Mandela's former home Celebrities, including Bono, Oprah Winfrey and Richard Branson are also expected to head to South Africa to pay their personal tributes to the man they considered a friend.

Later today, a special joint session of parliament will be held in Cape Town to allow South Africa’s politicians from all political parties to mark the passing of the nation’s first black president. President Jacob Zuma has urged the country to remember the values of peace and forgiveness that Mr Mandela lived by and uphold them. His sentiments were echoed by the anti-apartheid icon’s family who released a statement calling for South Africans to "keep the dream alive". On Tuesday, the focus will shift back to Johannesburg where a huge memorial service is due to take place at the FNB Stadium, the scene of Nelson Mandela’s last public appearance ahead of the 2010 World Cup Final.

A child lays flowers in Cape Town Some 80,000 people are expected to attend the event, including President Obama, his wife, Michelle, and other visiting dignitaries. From Wednesday, Mr Mandela’s body will "lie in state" Pretoria, at the Union Buildings where he governed as president between 1994 and 1999. A funeral cortege carrying the icon’s remains will pass through the capital daily until Friday, with South Africans being urged to line the streets to form a "guard of honour".

The state funeral will take place in Mr Mandela's ancestral homeland of Qunu in the Eastern Cape on Sunday. It is still not clear whether President Obama will still be in the country, but many other world leaders are expected to travel to the usually sleepy rural village to join Mr Mandela's family, friends and former comrades in bidding farewell to the revered statesman as he makes his final journey home.

FIFA, the world football governing body, has announced new prize money for the 2014 World Cup and hosts of future age-group events.....
It said in a statement, following its executive committee meeting on Thursday, that there would be new prize money of 576 million dollars (about N95 billion) for next year’s tournament. This was an increase of 37 per cent in comparison with the 420 million dollars (about N69 billion) on offer for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The winner in Brazil will receive 35 million dollars, followed by 25 million dollars for the runners-up. Twenty-two million dollars and 20 million dollars will be for the third- and fourth-placed teams respectively, and 14 million dollars for the quarter-finalists.

The governing body also announced that South Korea would host the U-20 World Cup in 2017, with South Africa staging the U-20 Women’s World Cup a year earlier. India will have an opportunity to showcase its credentials as a major event destination by hosting the U-17 World Cup in 2017, while Jordan will hold the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2016. The governing body added that Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur would stage the FIFA Congress in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

A mother of three identified as Mrs Ijeoma Ifebunwa collapsed and died from exhaustion after marathon rounds of Bang with lover on her matrimonial bed....

According to report, 30-year-old Mrs Ifebunwa invited her new boyfriend, Okechukwu Ani to her one-room apartment at Akubor Nnewichi, Nnewi, Anambra state to come spend the night with her.

It was gathered that the lover arrived the house by 9pm but left and returned by 11pm when the woman’s children had gone to bed.

The agreement was that that he would pay N1,500, being part- payment of the agreed sum of N2,000 for the romance, and pay the balance of N500.00 the following day.

After the marathon s*x which lasted which lasted till 4.30 a.m., the woman became exhausted with pains and started yelling for help and slumped in the process. Her screaming attracted her daughter Miss Oluebube, and the landlord of the house, who rushed to the room immediately and forced the door open.

The woman was found on the floor completely exhausted, while her lover, Okechukwu, attempted escaping through the window but he was caught by the landlord of the house who grabbed his legs and pulled him back to the room, and was thereafter handed over to the vigilante group of Abubor Nnewichi, who later handed him to the police.

Mrs Ifebunwa later regained consciousness when the police arrived at the scene. She informed them that her husband worked somewhere outside Abubor Nnewichi, after she which she collapsed again and gave up the ghost.

Speaking on the incident, the landlord, Mr Micheal Okeke, said that the deceased screaming woke him up from sleep, and that he had to break the door, and found the woman on the ground unclad with her lover in pains and groaning while lover boy held her.

The couple were joined together at Foursquare Gospel Church, Omole, Ikeja and had their reception at the ever bubbling 10 Degree Events Centre in Oregun.

A woman’s stomach grew as though she was pregnant, but instead of a baby, doctors found a snake in her tummy.....


The woman has been in poor health for some time and doctors reportedly believe the snake is the cause of her deteriorating health.



Maria Tsotetsi, 49, of Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, South Africa, claims that a bishop put the snack inside her.
Tsotetsi, who looks pregnant, was in the hospital a while back, when doctors told her that she had a growth in her stomach.

"They said I had lost a lot of blood and I needed surgery,” she said. But the family was too poor to pay for surgery and nothing happened after that. Nurses gave her medicine, and she was released from the hospital a few days later.
In an attempt to help, Tsotetsi, her then boyfriend, took her to a bishop to cure her.
According to Tsotetsi, the bishop told her to remove all of her clothes and he gave her muthi, a herbal medicine.

"The muthi was covered in white and brown snakeskin. The Bishop said this would cure me," she said.
A few days later she became sick and her teeth began to fall out.

"I think the muthi made ​​me lose my teeth,” she said. After the visit to the bishop, her boyfriend of 14 years left her and she was unable to find love since then.
"I want him to come and remove the snake, which he placed in my stomach. I believe that the bishop is responsible for this." Tsotetsi said.

The suspects claimed to be running a lottery and thus succeeded in dispossessing their victims of their hard earned money by charging a “processing fee”

According to The Telegraph reports, Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Anurag Sharma, on Tuesday, said that the Nigerians were arrested in Delhi last week.

Sharma said a complaint by one Mahender Patel to the police on October 28 led to their arrest.

Patel had complained that a woman called Asha Kiran told him and two others that she was going to receive USD 20 million as lottery prize and would give them 2.5 per cent of the amount if they pay her the N12.43 million which she had to deposit as processing fee for the prize money.

Asha Kiran had received an e-mail stating that she had won a lottery of USD 20 million.

“After she responded to the e-mail, the accused asked her to deposit some money as ‘processing fee’. She told Patel about this, who along with two others paid her Rs 49 lakh. Out of this, she transferred Rs 15.5 lakh to various accounts set up by the accused,” said Sharma.

A person called Michael, also a Nigerian, who is believed to be the ringleader, is yet to traced, he added.

Concerned parents across the UAE and Qatar state they are ‘shocked’ by the negligence shown by a couple that forgot to collect their sleeping child from a taxi in haste.....

The bizarre turn of events occurred on Saturday, with a family vacation ending on a sour note when the members hailed a taxi to shuttle them for Doha International Airport to their residence in Al Dafna.
In the hurry to offload the luggage from the cab, the family reportedly forgot their small child was sleeping in the back seat.
Doha’s ‘The Peninsula’ newspaper reported that the panicked parents realised their folly within a few minutes, but when they rushed out of the home, the taxi was nowhere to be found.
With no alternative, a call was placed to the customer service centre of the taxi company and the driver was contacted to return with the prized companion, still apparently fast asleep in the backseat.
In a statement to the paper, the state-run transport company Mowasalat said: “The parents phoned the company’s call centre and officials immediately contacted the driver. He then drove back to where he had dropped off the parents.”
Emma Price, an Arabain Ranches resident couldn’t contain her shock, saying: “How can parents just forget their child in the backseat? As a parent, it is your duty to protect your children at all costs.
“They are lucky their child was returned unharmed. But we all read the news; we know how bad things are out there.”
Adnan Altaf, a Karama resident, said: “I have three young children, and I know how difficult it can be monitoring them when you are in a public place, such as a park or a mall.
“But as a responsible parent, we have to keep eyes at the back of our heads to ensure their safety. As a family, we travel by Dubai Metro all the time.
“But, both my wife and I, ensure that the children are with us when we disembark the train. You can never be too careful with children.”
However, Michael Campbell had a different view, saying: “It was probably just an honest mistake. It happens. We should drop the lynch mob mentality and just let them be.”
