Children can't even be allowed to be children or to grow up in peace.
Politics › Re: 13 Major Ongoing Road Projects Under The Tinubu Administration by Angelfrost(m): 8:38pm On Mar 31, 2025
Tinubu is trying...!

He just needs to sort out the mess in the security and power sectors, and the true success of his administration will be seen.

As long as Corruption, Insecurity and Political Instability remain widespread among with increasing cost of living, it will be difficult to term him a success.

franchasng:
Canada has never been a country where migrants succeed financially, maybe some fortunate and smart ones do, but generally, Canada is just a layback country where you just live an average life till old age, most people that live in Canada hardly have enough savings to invest back in Nigeria.

Remember, there are very few fortunate ones making it in Canada but not common like America, etc
Depends on your definition of the phrase "Succeed financially".

It mostly comes down to smart financial decisions.

Even the America, how many migrants become wealthy in the true sense of the word?!!

Except we all realistically measure wealth in terms of savings and investment in Dollars compared to Naira... This means anyone not thinking about returning back to Naija is not serious.

Okay... So, why were these words not spoken for Jonathan in 2011?!!

Yet again... When will the average citizens start singing these same praises?!!

It's hard to take these words seriously when they keep coming from those that are affluent.

Zionmdde:
When will northern governors also come to the south to visit villages where herdsmen have sacked

Puppets!! See the weakling and asslicker people have as governor.
No wonder they can't do anything to stop killings by herdsmen
This is really shameful and shocking to read...!

Did the Northerners elect him into that office?!!

This is exactly what happens when the votes of citizens don't count during elections.

Just like the idiot governor in Imo state that is constantly acting like a servant to the North.

No wonder a Northerner proudly told me years ago that they own Nigeria, and decide who gets to lead the country, and that all elected leaders must kowtow to them in everything.
Politics › Re: Edo Governor Visits Kano, Condoles With Families Of Uromi Massacre Victims by Angelfrost(m): 4:04pm On Mar 31, 2025
This man is a huge and monumental DISAPPOINTMENT!

What manner of ass-licking is this?!!

How many emirs, governors, and Northern leaders visited Enugu, Benue, and Edo states when hundreds were slaughtered by Northern herdsmen?!!

Why do we in the South constantly have to pander to the emotions of the North?!!

Why ffs?!!

Are majority if the police not of Igbo tribe? Until we start calling our own out, this crime against its citizens will hardly end. Someone threatened me with the police in the East, until I made him understand that I have a stronger power with the police and that a call will put him in trouble, luckily my retired dad called me and I put the call on speaker. He was shocked to hear my dad speak
This is not about tribe!

Why can't you people leave ethnicity for once in your shortsighted lives?!!

There is nothing like state or tribal police in Nigeria!

It is a national rot that goes all the way to their national headquarters in Abuja... Every state has the same rotten system of poor policing and intimidation/torture of citizens by security agents.

This is part of the what led to the now infamous Endsars riots.

The nation's security system is so fvcked! Our security agents are untrained and criminally minded animals... Facts!!!

The fact that it takes only influence and money to get them to do their jobs or torture innocent citizens clearly underscores the failed system in this 3rd world nation.

Which civilised nation will citizens, no matter how wealthy or powerful, simply call the Police and order them to arrest and torture fellow citizens for any reason without solid proof of crimes?!! Where on Earth but failed states?!!

How can anyone be locked up and even tortured merely on suspicion of crimes?!!

Nigeria is so shamefully backward! Damn!!!
Politics › Re: Former Detainees Expose Shocking Torture, Killings At Imo Tiger Base Police Unit by Angelfrost(m): 3:37pm On Mar 31, 2025
This is nothing new, and happens all across Nigeria!

No state in Nigeria is exempted from this lawlessness and brigandry among this nation's law enforcement.

This is why the nation is aptly regarded as a Banana Republic.

One of the worst things to happen to any human being is to be arrested by the Nigerian police.

Even if you are falsely accused, it doesn't matter to those thugs and criminals... Once you enter their station and get behind bars, your life will be scarred for eternity.

They will make sure to leave an everlasting mark of torture on you.

If you know how to pray... Your number one daily prayer point ought to be never to get arrested by these Demons in Black.

That's why I no dey like problem in my life... I avoid gatherings and anything that will involve those bastards in uniform.

Stupid talk, it's Fulani demons with their herdsmen and their brothers, be realistic. Senators need to enact death penalty for kidnappers and state Governors must sign death warrants.
Okay... Wise talk!

Keep waiting for the Saintly Senators to enact laws that won't benefit their pockets.

Keep waiting.

Being shocked into initial inactivity is one thing, but staying in your car and watching the person bleed away in pain borders on the psychopathic.

It's almost the same way all over the world.

That woman seems very mean thou. I pray justice is fully served.
Nope... Not the same all over.

In nations where the Judiciary is uncompromising, she is going to jail for murder in the first degree for refusing to act fast to help the person she hit.

Even if the you are the governor or mayor, the law remains unchanged.

Additionally, emergency services would have been quicker, and the guy might have survived.

Justice in Nigeria depends on your level of wealth and connection.

It's obvious she's used to doing what she likes and getting away with it.

If it were possible, she would have reversed and driven off.
