You just have to give kudos to Arteta...!

This is almost a B-team by Liverpool, Madrid, and Man City standards... Just slightly better than Spurs.

Yet, he still manages to impress with them.

That's why I fail to accept Fergie001 and Kyase excuse about their team not doing well...! You guys have more experienced and seasoned players than Arsenal.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea (1 - 1) On 4th January 2025 by Angelfrost(m): 6:32pm On Jan 04, 2025
Really felt bad for Palace... They should have won!

Ogogoro FC is truly staying on track... They are indeed running away from the title race.

Soon, they will be out of top 4 race.

Well, you might be right... We'll see from their run of fixtures.

It would great to have them back in form.

We need serious competition in the league.

I've met many people like you before. A great percentage of Nigerians actually, same constitutional make up as you. Everywhere, from the classroom to the public transport to the petrol stations. Practically everywhere there's a gathering.
The seller increases his price to a high amount. While some are arguing for a reduction, your kind in an attempt to sound more enlightened will be defending the decision and justifying why the price needs to be raised, while the seller looks on in amusement knowing fully well that while a price increment is necessary, the level to which he has raised it to is pretty much unhealthy. Now the interesting part is when the seller decides to listen to the voice of reason and reduce the price to something more commensurate, you Mr. Enlightened & Understanding will not insist on paying the initial high price it was raised to, you will quietly join the queue and enjoy the reduced price. Even more interesting in the likely situation that if the seller decides to stand by his decision and not reduce the price, those who were clamouring for a reduction may still be able to afford it while you Mr. Enlightened & Understanding will walk away unable to afford it.
Now, you are beginning to rant...!

Let's stay within the bounds of reality and objectivity.

No need for condescending statements too.

Arbitrary pricing still comes down to poor policy and price regulations.

Are we gonna pretend like anything happening in this nation is ideal or logical?!!

Cascading costs indiscriminately will continue as long as policy makers remain aloof to grassroot realities.

Businesses have profit margins, and coupled with or reinforced by poor or no price regulation, the end consumers will suffer immeasurably.

Your emotional feelings or my perceived logic won't change that.

At your post script, cost will still be transferred to the final consumers, this is Nigeria and we can't pretend like we don't know one or two things about how things is being done over here.
Yep... The tomato and meat sellers will compensatorily increase their prices and blame it on high cost of contacting their middle men and suppliers.

There will be no succor for the poor in this nation.

The plan is to use extreme inflation to kill off half of the population... Since Covid failed to pull this off, at the chargrin of Bill Gates and World bank.

Lol... Na so dem take welcome 2020 that year o. grin

After successfully experimenting with the universe between 2020 and 2021 leading to severe global financial crisis that some nations are yet to recover from, these bastards seem to be bored and ready to try another experiment.

Good luck to the helpless masses who remain at the mercy of these puppeteers.

Ineptitude is enough, no need to add "Ness" to it. And if you were as smart as you seemed to think you are you'd have seen from my statement that I wasn't defending the perceived incompetence of the government, I was only highlighting the fact that 100% percent increment in addition to the hidden charges they already bill us is an obvious overkill.
Overkill?!! Are you quite certain of that?!!

You have to be fully conversant with their current costs of running their businesses for you to make that broad claim.

Everything has a cascade effect with the average citizen bearing the brunt of austerity measures directed at business owners.

Eventually, something will have to give... Already, businesses are shutting down.

Fuel - Exorbitant

Electricity - Expensive

Education - Costly

Food - Expensive

Now, calls and data - Highly expensive

So, how exactly are over 100 Million people living within and below the minimum wage gap expected to survive in 2025?!!

Yeah... Most of the senior and experienced players will either leave or begin to depreciate in quality.

Trent is already on Perez and Madrid's radar: Liverpool either collects the offer of 25 Million this January or watch him go to Bernabeu for free in June.

If VVD goes, the team will be really hit.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: "This Is My Last Season At Liverpool, I Want The Premier League" - Mo Salah by Angelfrost(m): 10:10pm On Jan 03, 2025
Leaving will be a very smart decision... That would be leaving while the ovation is loudest.

They will definitely win this season's EPL, but that's also down to the deplorable state of their main top 4 oppositions:

Man City is having a nightmare for the first time in a long while
Spurs is Deteriorating
Chelsea is just starting to bud
Man United continues to deteriorate as expected
Arsenal remains a near-success syndrome club

They are a great team, but no guarantee of repeating this consecutively.

Above all... Salah has conquered the EPL, just like Ronaldo!

Time to try other leagues, like France (He will be massive under Luis Enrique).

Yes chief... We give a shit about ourselves enough to move to saner climes, and while there continue to bond as we did in Nigeria.

Except you have clear evidence that people migrate solely because they wish to flee the association with their fellow citizens rather than because the system is corrupt and not working.

Maybe you need to clarify precisely what is really bothering you here.

Politics › Re: NNPC Begins Modernization Of Kaduna And Second Port Harcourt Refineries by Angelfrost(m): 7:51pm On Jan 03, 2025
Interesting...!

It would be absolutely revolutionary if all our refineries start working efficiently and completely.

That means zero fuel imports, and larger exports.

Increased competition in the downstream sector means proper deregulation and price reduction.

That in itself should leave no contest for Jagaban come 2027!

It actually goes beyond skin... Lol!

It's a cultural thing!

You have to be highly liberal at heart to get close and personal with those guys.

Africans and Asians, even South Americans largely prefer to safely stick to their very own circles.

Funny enough... Caucasians are far less discriminatory towards Blacks/Africans than Asians and Indians.

Most Asians simply dislike Black people... Like absolutely hate us!

Why is it that Nigerians abroad never have white people around them? U go dey doubt that it is the abroad
That's because they are smart...!

Bonding with and surrounding yourself with people of your root and ethnicity remains the safest, most times.

Same thing smart Asians, even South Americans do.

It's not like most Caucasians really rate other races.

You can relate with them on a professional level, but when it comes to close friendship bonds, never kid yourself that most of them truly give a shit about your well-being.
