Bello is a huge disgrace to our great party.
We encourage the EFCC to get their job done no matter whose ox is gored.

It's a shame to have the likes of Bello in our party

Bello is a disgrace to the great APC
Disgrace, you say?!! To what exactly?!!

A party that appointed a bribe-collecting crook as Chairman is supposed to be bothered that a lesser thief is a member?!!

Lol.

Okay... So, the real and pressing question remains:

How much of that money will be diverted?!! 50% or 80%?!!

something this govt met at #160. A pity!
They claim it was being heavily subsidised...!

Now, subsidy is said to be gone, money is claimed to be saved, so prices are flying up... But, how are the masses supposed to afford these?!!

Where is the cushioning net?!!

If fuel and electricity prices are soaring high along with education costs... Shouldn't there be some form of meeting or compromise point to mitigate hardship?!!

If the buying power of the consuming masses declines, how do businesses survive?!!

Economy is not the strong suit of these people in power.

This level of widespread manipulation is Machiavellian. grin

When Bag of rice becomes 80k, they will also call it a massive reduction...!

Very intelligent contribution.
Where are the LP elected legislators in NASS?
Seeing that LP preached reducing the cost of governance in the last election?
Lol... LP is just an extension of PDP.

Politicians from APC and PDP simply disguised and used the platform to get elected since Peter Obi sentiments were awash over the party.

Before 2027, many of them will return to their original abodes.

Overflowing big breast n flat yansh

N for those who have big yansh they normally look like pressed bread, everything compacted

Moderate is bae from here

grin grin grin
She's attractive... Attractiveness and beauty are subjective.

Besides, she didn't create herself or her imperfections... So, you have no right describing her so disrespectfully.

I still can't understand why anyone should feel the need to mock people's physical appearances... Like, you are perfect or angelic in appearance?!!

Abeg, talk another thing.

Every nation is unique in itself... Bragging about visiting or living abroad is just stupid.

1. This is not the first time the lady is organizing such event in that same state. So was it that there was a population explosion or poverty explosion? Imagine organizing an event this year with 1000 people in attendance. If you want to organize the same event next year, will you use a stadium?

2. House to house sharing of food. So they will carry trailers of freebies and people will not attack them? Hia

3. At local government level? What made you think that those children traveled from different LGAs to the venue? Max. There would be 3LGAs. Now divide that crowd into 3 and tell me how big ur LGA sectetariat is
1. Yes, the poverty and hunger level in Nigeria today has tripled if not quadrupled since January. This is why stricter attention to safety would have prevented this.
This is a no brainer!

2. House to house sharing with security would have succeeded without much issues. Worst case scenario, they would be thronged but definitely no stampede.

3. At LGA level, the crowd would be easier to manage... the council heads can strategize sharing even at the level of communities.

I am not talking fiction... I have helped organise such outreaches and programs, even on such large scales without such issues.

Planning is everything.

Obviously poster never experienced poverty, my brother when poverty hit you and the only way to escape na illegal way omor you will do worst than those people you mentioned above
Your reasoning is limited, and it's sad!

The biggest criminals and looters in Nigeria today came from very wealthy and influential backgrounds.

It's not about poverty or wealth... It's about sociopathy and wickedness.

Zionmdde:
So what safety measures could they have taken?

Any safety measure that didn't involve stopping those children from leaving their homes "will fail" no matter what. Unless you expected them to rent the stadium. Of which tragedies were also bound to happen

Perhaps the best safety measure in the hierarchy of control was "AVOIDANCE". meaning keep your gifts and palliative to yourself
Nope....!

1. Using a stadium with strict security mounted to allow in specific numbers at a time, with alternate entries and exits.

2. Another option would be house to house sharing of the gifts.

3. A third option would be segmented sharing or distributing at local government and street level.
Crime › Re: Do Criminals And Yahoo Boys Have Conscience by Angelfrost(m): 8:00pm On Dec 19, 2024
Lol... Conscience!

That's a word most desperate and greedy people can't relate with.

I mean... How do you explain a wealthy politician with funds that can comfortably support his family for decades if they decide to be idle, still embezzling Billions meant to feed poor citizens for just a month?!!

Corrupt Nigerians are a mystery even to Satan himself!

When Chinua Achebe said in his book "A Man of the People", that "...the thief has stolen so much for the owner of the house not to notice", he certainly hadn't envisaged the Nigeria of today!

An average Nigerian Yahoo boy and Politician will steal Money meant to feed orphans and widows suffering and dying in IDP camps.

SMH!!!

We all shouting "crucify them" for setting out to put smiles on the faces of some children

They announced their free gift event
Do we Blame them for the massive crowd they might never have envisaged?
But we don't Blame govt for the massive poverty
We don't blame parents for the negligence on their own part.

It has become very obvious that having good intentions in this country is scary and may land you jail terms.
There can be no excuse for failing to take precautions and safety measures when expecting such a crowd...!

Anything that involves sharing of food and gifts in today's economy will definitely attract massive numbers even if the publicity is low.

Crowd control is something that should never be overlooked... It never ends well.
Politics › Re: When Good Intention Is Not Enough: Lessons From Ibadan Children Stampede by Angelfrost(m): 7:47pm On Dec 19, 2024
Hmmm... Good intentions, you say?!!

Maybe you haven't heard or read that "The Road to Hell is paved with GOOD INTENTIONS".

Good intentions should not blind or mask the pressing need for safety and security when organising things that involve poor and hungry people in large numbers.

This is not even the first time such issues of safety are overlooked with detrimental outcomes in this nation.

This is why I personally avoid large gatherings whether social or religious in this nation...!

We simply never take proper safety measures... As in... NEVER!!!

That's how low our collective IQ is in this nation, from top to bottom!

Some of these states cannot sustain themselves.

And they are still clamoring for more states that can only leeach on others to survive.

Something is also fishy about kano contributing on 9 billion Inspite of its huge size when a state like oyo is doing 32 billion and smaller less industrial states are doing more numbers comparatively!
The entire Northern Nigeria accounts for over 60% of the Corruption swallowing up this 3rd world nation...!

They have simply made up their mind to keep dragging this nation into the dunghill of history.

Those are two of the most useless states.

Despite receiving huge allocations and their relatively small size and populations they still have the least to show in terms of developments!

No single top business operates freely in any state in Nigeria.

No wonder many of these parasitic states are against the Tax Reforms.

Enough of eating and reaping where y'all didn't sow or Labor.

Every state should sit up, and get to work! Find ways to attract investors and improve revenue generation.
