Peter gringory obituary will never be president of Nigeria. He can be attending birthdays and burial functions on behalf of Tinubu.
Okay... But, does that make your life and the lives of all Nigerians better in today's Nigeria?!!

What is the relevance of Obi's presidential aspirations to the current retrogression in the nation?!!

In the absence of Obi winning the Presidential seat, shouldn't Nigeria be faring excellently after 9 years of APC leadership?!!

Why is the opposite the case?!!

Foreign Affairs › Re: Niger Republic Is Transforming Its Desert To Farmlands by Angelfrost(m): 2:01pm On Jun 20, 2024
For those of you still giving excuses for failed leadership and blaming your fellow citizens... Please, read my last posts in another thread below:

Angelfrost:
I disagree... Lol.

Society has evolved beyond that, and the massive population growth globally makes that impracticable.

How much land do we have for that?!! Do you understand the toil it will be on the lands?!!

Let's quit making excuses for our failure of leadership in this nation.

It's the responsibility of every nation's leadership today to ensure food is available for all citizens by ensuring agriculture is fully functional and mechanised.

Do some research please, and fact check me... Nigeria has 4 times more people farming and doing agriculture than all top food-producing nations on Earth!

Canada that I know very well has foodstuffs ridiculously cheap (ask around), but how many are farming?!! Less than 20% of the population!

If we keep making excuses for Leadership failure in Nigeria, nothing will change!

Things will get worse...!

How soon before these infidels killing and maiming our farmers move to destroying the crops of those in their houses?!!

Well... Let's keep managing what is abnormal... But, let's never stoop to the level of normalising it.

We are too mentally elevated for such self deceit.

I come in peace, my good Sister. cool
Angelfrost:
Good points, but you still haven't addressed the core issue here: LEADERSHIP!

This food crisis in Nigeria has absolutely nothing to do with widespread laziness or religion.

Nigerians have actually become less religious in the last 10 years (research this).

Yes, out population has grown, but that isn't enough to make food scarce... China and India have grown twice more than we have.

We are not producing enough food because of the following reasons:

1. Insecurity: Nigerian farmers and agriculturists are being killed and maimed everyday, at shocking levels compared to a decade ago.
Solve insecurity, and watch an explosion of food supply.

2. Cost of Production has tripled due to subsidy removal, corruption, and consequent diminished investment in the agricultural sector.

Telling everyone to start farming is merely applying a thin lint over a gangrenous wound... That won't address the root issues.

Yes, I did... Every Fulani man can't be a herdsman, and every herdsman can't be a murdering lowlife.

Politics › Re: 22-year-old Bride And Only Child Killed In Anambra ‘sit-at-home’ Attack by Angelfrost(m): 8:53pm On Jun 19, 2024
My question... Why do we call every criminal and evil perpetrator in the Southeast "IPOB" ?!!

Why do we feel the need to hide all criminal elements under the umbrella of an organisation?!!

Why give a dog a bad name to hang it?!!

Last time I checked... Clear demarcations are made among Terrorists, Bandits, hoodlums, thieves and other lowlife in other parts of the nation.

But in the Southeast, everything is lumped together and blamed on secessionists, even when there is no clear proof... Why exactly?!!

This is a regular suicide mission for many who have clearly lost direction and hope in life.

After crossing the desert, next is to risk the sharks and the waters of the oceans.

...And the few that finally sneak in (over 50% of them will either perish or worse), will hide forever in a foreign nation.

Food › Re: Lady Shows Off Tomatoes And Peppers She Bought For 7k, Laments About High Cost by Angelfrost(m): 8:39pm On Jun 19, 2024
Sapasenator:
I disagree, my friend. Our society has never lacked the means to feed itself. We have fertile lands, seasonal rains, and ample resources, so there is no reason anyone should go hungry in Nigeria. If you look on YouTube, you'll find numerous examples of how to plant crops in sacks, even in small spaces. While I'm not suggesting you grow everything you eat, starting with peppers and tomatoes can make a significant difference. If you grow enough to feed yourself, you can sell the surplus to address other needs.

If we dedicated even half the time we spend in churches and mosques to farming, we would never have to complain about hunger. Unfortunately, many people in Nigeria prefer to:

1. Beg
2. Pray
3. Complain
4. Consider suicide

Nigerians will never take practical steps to solve their problems. They are waiting for "Manna" to fall from heaven or for some mysterious " divine favour".
Good points, but you still haven't addressed the core issue here: LEADERSHIP!

Mariangeles:
It depends on what I need.

If you think about it, nobody actually owes anybody food, or to farm for anyone.
Not even if they're ready to pay for it (a farmer can choose whether or not to sell his produce).
Nobody is obligated to farm/rear animals for anyone.
It is even a privilege for a farmer to sell you his produce.
It shouldn't be taken for granted.

From the beginning of time, man was meant take his destiny into his own hands, to grow his own food, and rear his own meat (that was God's original plan for man).
The problem with man is that he became lazy and too entitled, and would rather make excuses!
I disagree... Lol.

Society has evolved beyond that, and the massive population growth globally makes that impracticable.

Why?!! Did the 'slut' force the husband to have sex with her or compel him to become unfaithful?!!

Dealing with one 'home breaker' won't solve or change the fact that her husband is no longer sexually attracted to her.

He will simply move his infidelity to the next available 'slut' in the long line of waiting 'home breakers '.

How many home breakers is she going to deal with before she has a serious mental breakdown?!!

Family is not always what we desire, but family is always going to be family!

Blood will always be thicker than water!

If you feel your younger brother hates you, then you should be asking yourself what you did to earn his animosity...!

Have a sit down with him, and talk like men...! Get all issues on the table! Involve an elder if possible (very advisable).

Don't let pride overwhelm both of you... Being the bigger man and brother isn't always easy. Sometimes, we have to even stoop to conquer.

For all you know, he might be going through mental issues that might require your intervention... Don't make conclusions from a distance.

This same kid might become a strong backbone for you tomorrow... The future is never black and white!

When you have done all these reconciliatory moves, and he stays aloof and hateful, then you have earned the conscience to keep him where he belongs!

But, in all you do, never burn bridges with Flesh and Blood...! E get why!!!

Redman44:
Any crop that grows in the North can also grow in the South. At least, a specie of the crop that flourishes in Northern Nigeria will grow in southern Nigeria. We must stop being mentally lazy in Nigeria.
Correct... But, that doesn't explain why it is expensive in the very North where it is produced.

The food crisis in Nigeria has nothing to do with laziness but poor leadership.

Are you aware that America, Canada, Russia and Ukraine produce far more food than Nigeria, but all have 5 times fewer farmers than Nigeria?!!

You don't need everyone or most citizens farming before you guarantee food security.

Tackle insecurity (biggest culprit in this food crisis), and more than half of the problems is solved.

With massive funding, grants, education, and investments, Nigeria will be exporting food even if only few people produce the food.

You can have 70% of Nigerians farming, yet food crisis will remain if Herdsmen are continued free rein to kill and maim farmers all over the country.

Maybe you like pretending that many farmers in Southeast and Southwest haven't already lost their lives to marauding herdsmen in the last 2 years.
