That's not unexpected anyways.

Parts of Libya are still in the control of warlords, post Gaddafi.

Has Iraq settled since ousting Saddam?
Everything and every nation they touch or invade never recovers... That nation is doomed.

I think the Red Devils will be knocked out tonight. They're no match for the Brighton tsunami, even Welbeck go wan shine for Old Trafford. grin
Failing to win tonight will seriously rubbish the "Back 4" system everyone has been clamoring for and insulting Amorim about.

The Coach and the club management are under serious pressure to prove Amorim wrong. tongue

Man U should just lose this match and save their strength for Manchester derby.
Save what strength?!! Hahahaha!

You lack the quality to best City or Arsenal right now.

Better do well to win this game... Cos, it will likely be the first and last for a good while.

Man City and Arsenal are not joking with their 3 points... They must collect them from United. tongue

JuanDeDios:
Well, this is one way of looking at it. But I don't think those working in that industry will agree with you. Higher foods mean lower patronage. That means fewer people employed and all.
Bro, I have run service delivery businesses for over 12 years.

I know what I am saying.

I am not against tipping... I do it all the time.

What I am against is making it an unofficial statutory right of service providers, with people getting cussed out or embarrassed when they decline to do so.
Travel › Re: ‎would You Let This Waitress Serve You? And Would You Tip Her? by Angelfrost(m): 3:58pm On Jan 11
JuanDeDios:
I think you misunderstand it. It's because restaurant waiters are underpaid. They're underpaid because paying them well would make the cost FOOD too high for most people. So the system reasons that: keep the cost of eating out affordable but let the diner tip based on their ABILITY and DISCRETION. I don't think it's such a bad thing. Yes, it has its downsides - like everything else. In Nigeria, you're underpaid and no culture of tipping.
Bro... I disagree totally!

If the cost is going to be high, let it be high... Those who can't afford the meals can go elsewhere or cook their damn meals.

If the pay is too small, then the waiters should look for other professions.

Tipping should be personal and not even morally compelled or manipulated.
Travel › Re: ‎would You Let This Waitress Serve You? And Would You Tip Her? by Angelfrost(m): 3:51pm On Jan 11
Tipping culture in America borders on dumb and even psychotic sometimes.

Someone has paid the demands of the goods and services rendered, yet you still compel them against their will to gift or "dash" the server?!! Why?!!

I love tipping whenever the mood catches me, and when the service is deeply pleasing... But, I should never be compelled to do so everytime.

If the server MUST be tipped, then for Pete sake, add it to the total cost of the food... Let the extortion be complete... Don't compel or force people or psychologically manipulate them to tip any damn server!

Mtchewwwww!!! Dumb Americans!

Health › Re: Why You Shouldn’t Buy Antibiotics Without A Prescription by Angelfrost(m): 4:31pm On Jan 10
I blame the Pharmacy board for this and those permitting patent medicine stores to still be operational across the nation.

It's beyond underdevelopment and backwardness to still have unlicensed non-pharmacists handling prescription drugs in the nation.

I don't care about shortage of Pharmacists... Train and empower more! SIMPLE!

...And any Pharmacist found going against WHO antimicrobial policies should have his or her license revoked!

Antibiotic Resistance is a very SERIOUS problem that no one seems to have solutions to... It is getting worse, and the consequences are terribly dire.
Business › Re: Excited Man Flaunts Bundle Of Naira After Exchanging 800 Cedis (Photos/Video) by Angelfrost(m): 2:16pm On Jan 10
Richtaiwo:
Contrary to the drama he’s trying to stage, nothing, absolutely nothing, is easy anywhere in the world. Life is not a roadside promo where currencies are exchanged with vibes and confidence.

So, since he’s proudly waving that bundle of naira and announcing it equals 800 cedis, perhaps he should also enlighten us, how long did it take him to earn it? Or is he implying that the same sweat that coughs out N800 in Nigeria will magically summon 800 cedis in Ghana?

Yes, a thousand dollars today is roughly N1.5 million. Very impressive. But let’s not insult basic reasoning, is the effort required to earn N1,000 the same effort needed to earn $1,000? Is it equally likely that someone will casually gift you N1,000 the same way an American will casually gift you $1,000? If that were true, birthdays in Lagos would look like Wall Street bonuses.

We constantly hear of people earning $2,500–$3,000 monthly abroad. Fair enough. But has anyone ever heard of someone in US, same job category, same skill level as Nigeria, earning $300,000 monthly in the US? If yes, please provide evidence, not vibes.

Yes, the naira is weak. Nobody is disputing that. But turning every exchange rate comparison into a circus act is unnecessary exaggeration. Currency value is not a comedy skit, and economics is not impressed by social media mockery. Let’s tone down the theatrics and apply a little sense, just a little.
All this shalaye for wetin exactly?!!!

Person change currency, snap picture, na your body begin dey pepper you, sotay you had to write several paragraphs to defend wetin nobody ask or send you. tongue

At times I wonder how doing the basics in Nigeria can be so hard and stressful for our leaders!
Imagine being owed unpaid bonuses yet these players have won all their games without complain!
I was even shocked to even read a report where the captain Ndidi had volunteered to pay their unpaid bonuses!
Can you imagine?
Yet, some of your fellow Nigerian youths come online to defend them like they share directly from these funds being embezzled.

If all Nigerians called them out consistently, this nation would have been so prosperous.

Interestingly and unfortunately Onunuga didn't address the problem!
Some days ago,I watched with sadness how the FG abandoned students sent on scholarship to Morocco!
If VDM had not gone to Morocco to for the AFCON he would never have met them!
Yet we have an administration where a president is approving billions for the renovation of VP house!
Addressing the problem means acknowledging there is an actual problem...!

For these leaders that depend massively on propaganda, admitting to failure is totally out of the question.

America would have since become more peaceful and safer than Saudi Arabia.

You are concerned about how badly other Presidents are handling security in their nations while America still has the highest gun-related deaths in the Universe...!

Sigh... Nigerians no sabi thief with sense or conscience.

I told a friend abroad (an American) that Nigerian leaders don't steal because they need the money... It's actually worse than GREED!

They steal because they don't want any other citizen to benefit even in the smallest way.

That's why a Billionaire in a position of influence will keep stealing millions meant for the citizens... The money is nothing to him... He just doesn't want the citizens benefiting from it.
