I woke up at midnight feeling uneasy,I had slept in mum's room in her insistence though it was no problem since dad was barely around. My eyes flew to the bedside clock which read 12:30.I stood up lazily and headed for the kitchen..I was thirsty and mum had no water in her room freezer.
The noise I heard hastened my footsteps.I saw Jessica sitting at the bar drunk~talking.

Jess,are you okay? I asked concerned.

But there was no response from her.I moved closer to her and asked again and surprisingly she replied.

Leave me all..I hate you so much.

Hearing those words from my twin hurt so bad but I didn't bother, after all she was drunk and it was the drink talking not her.

I tried to take the glass of her hands but she slapped me and spat on my face.

Embarrassed I ran to my new room were I broke down uncontrollably.

I didn't know when I fell asleep but was woken up by my worried mother.

Honey what's wrong? We slept together and I woke up without you on the bed.Aren't you going to work today?she asked concerned.

Oh no..jeez.what time is it?I asked after searching for my phone which I had forgotten I left in mum's room

Few minutes after 7..mum replied still giving me that worried look.

My goodness..I flew to the bathroom and ran a quick bath.

Ehis had dropped me off since my car was still at the repairs.He had come in for dinner on my insistence.we sat in the living room and chatted while we waited for mum special delicacy.

And why should I?I asked rolling my eyes.

I pouted my lips and did as I was told.

I could feel him placing a necklace on my neck.

I opened my eyes and took my miror from my handbag and what I saw rendered me speechless.it was a silver necklace with it's pendant embedded with "Mariposa"

What are you saying??I love it,its beautiful. Thank you dear.I said staring at it.

That's not how a good girl says thank you he said unsmiling.

So how does a good girl say thank you? I asked.

Without waiting for another word from him,I encircled my hands around him and rested my head on his shoulder.

Somehow the owner of that voice was my nightmare.. I stared at the now lean figure of David who stared daggers at me.

Since I travelled to the village you never cared nor called to hear how my mum was fairing.. What kind of lady are you?Is that how much you hate me?and just to crown it you are flirting. Ehis was fast enough to hold his hand which had almost landed on my face.

Don't you dare hit my woman..

Who would have thought you would earn up with a LovePeddler like this Ehis?this lady is up to no good..Jessica said clapping her hands.

Maybe our voices had brought her down from her room..

Jessica this should be the very last time you say anything nasty about her.I might do something we won't like forgetting you are her sister.

David am sorry I never called or texted, that is because I am done with you. I have never loved you,and I had tried putting up with you because you saved my life from those rapists that night.But am done trying.Am sorry I have to end it this way,but please leave my life alone,stop manipulating my life..I want to breath my own air.

Haven't Raymond mentioned to you he used me first hu?because I know he never loved you..A man wouldn't cheat on a lady he loves, at least not before marrying her.He claimed to love you,yet he chases after everything under a skirt..Is that love?get it into your big skull we were both used by him.And for your information I thought you two were done..I can never chase after another woman's man.We were used,grow up sister!.


Jessica battled with her tears,embarrassed she ran upstairs.

Am sorry she said to Ehis whose eyes trailed after David.

He pulled her into his arms and pecked her forehead.
