kingslly: It cant be a slap on ma face because alameseigha is not from ma state and he is not contesting to represent my senatorial zone,so his people should protest against his candidacy or better still not vote for him if they feel he is not right for them. The one that is a slap on my face is when a man who overthrew a Democratically elected Government in the first republic, was a tyrant during his time, incited violence in 2011 which led to the death of so many Nigerians just because he lost an election, was clearly against the Federal Governemnt's efforts to Battle Boko haram but still uses insurgency as a tool to Discredit the Government and clearly didnt join the military with any O'level result comes to tell me about change and how he will fix the country thats a very big slap on our faces. His old anti-corruption gimmicks wont work for him this time around because this is 2015 and not 1983. Have u asked anyone who was old enough when buhari took over from shagari what their reaction was when it happened?..So clearly u exonerate the president from Alamaseigha debacle and said he is not from ur state..My brother, my need for a different candidate bores down to the inability of the president to rule this country...If u don't see anything wrong with this country the way it is then we can both vote for candidate of our choice and hope for the best |

kingslly: Atleast GEJ affected the lives of more than 750,000 women in the rural areas with N9bn and not 11bn and he will even affect more lives positively in future. He hasn't retrenched workers just to force them to go into farming(dats your Idols crude method of encouraging farming in Nigeria),he hasn't unjustly thrown anyone into prison based on just his gut feelings or hear-say that the person is corrupt. Yes he has not thrown anyone in to prison but pardon those who stole...Alameisagha is now contesting for a senate sit..isn't this a slap on our face? |

tonychristopher: What i keep asking myself and you people is how come yorubas allowed tinubu to manipulate them and pocket them
I just keep asking myself how come they are supporting buhari and his tinubu man
I just dont get it how they can support a man that is so old that doesn't know what m government means and what e government means
I am still asking why should they opt for gerontacracy instead of democracy are they demonstrating their monarchy and hausa oligarchy hangover..
I ask finally what will you go for is it a current phone or an anologue phone
To me I see those that support buhari as been daft and retrogressives . A man that should be in hospice
It's a thing of shame
This is not tribal bashing pls but Yoruba why do you want to drag us back Did u ask the same Question when many yoruba voted for him back then?...Ask ur self what changed...Its the fault of the President that he made us choose an Old man over him...If he had done credibly well, most yoruba would have voted for him again...To try and call yoruba names because we choose the growth of this country over tribal sentiment is the height of ignorance |

AustineE1: isnt it hypocritical for thesame people who ask nt to be insulted, are the first to refer to our president in a derogatory manner!in higher climes,a presidential contestant comes out with such a stup*d reason as an excuse nt to debate and let the people he wants to govern know his position on certain national issues, that alone shld lead to instant disqualificatn and political suicide. Was GEJ also the reason why he refused attending the then 'Oputa panel of enquiry'. Buhari is such an egoistic power drunken clown who believes he was born to rule. To over flog this issue of debate while ur principal refuse to debate in 2011 is the Apex of hypocricy...Just answer this question and we will pick it up from there, Why din't GEJ debate in 2011?..Answer that and we will give u reason why GMB shud not debate |

Are you not a goat? Tinubu singlehandedly looted the whole of lagos state and yet he's clamouring for change. Doesn't that qualify you as a disenfranchised congenital idiot? dadexcel: . Much as I naturally would have responded to your name-calling, I have decided to tow the route of civility - first you are actually the one quoting the newspapers becasue I am a stake holder in in area in question and I should educate you more about the whole fuss about people not willing to let go of their lands, but if your anger will allow you to dig deeper may be you will get the whole truth- ago palace, okobabasule, olodi apapa and other sections of this state have been isolated and abandoned by this government for too long due to sectional bias, some streets/roads in these areas have gone so bad that even pedestrians can't use them again and you sit in the comfort of your home and argue blindly, maybe they are also not allowing fashola to work too. Talk about the toyota pedestrian bridge, your quick to tell me the road is a federal road, so why is the government quick to install a ped. bridge at ailassa end of same road with much less pedestrian traffic and not at toyota? Anyways I am not sure you ply that route otherwise you should be asking same questions if your not bias. What about ladipo maket roads and other markets dominated by same section of people that are alnost disaster prone now in terms of basic amenities not provided by this govt yet tejuosho and others are been transformed into. Mega ultra modern shopping centres for selfish and corrupt reasons. My friend I do not think you live in lekki, ajah, sangetedo, awoyaya etal becasue if you do, you will know the economic hardship a common man endures by paying as much as n600 (that is if you ply only ones) on tolls alone just to go home; to even compare this corruption (because the money is being shared among themselves) to an airport toll that can be. Related to a motor park toll is actually unfortunate! Now you wnat to know the corrupt people in lags? Like seriously! That's actually laughable, I think you should be telling me to show you a member of the lagos APC leadership that is not a descendant of corruption, off course it will be an uphill task. GOd bless you. Will u just let this Lekki toll issue rest?...there are other route if u don't want to follow it...its not a must u go thru the route and pay toll...Its the yardstick when creating a toll, there are other route...talking about some areas not being develop etc, lagos is a peculiar state, u can finish all the work in 30yrs, so its a gradual process...someday it will get to the turn of ur area...Sibiri igando road was bad for so long and when it gets to their turn they experience development.....Hope u don't think when JK comes him he will stop the collection of that toll? |

olujastro: I wanted to ignore your post as I mostly just read comments on NL, but a lil part of me decided to educate ur ignorance. Firstly, u were not specific on "Corruption, Impunity & Untouchables in lagos" so I'll pass on that. 2ndly, tolls are not new to this world, I wonder why you guys tk that of lekki so personal. Doesn't ur F.G collect several tolls at ikeja, airport area? See the state of the airport roads we pay tolls, very messed up! But see lekki-epe express, always properly maintained and beautified by LCC. Any vehicle that breaks down is removed in minutes, same attention for car accidents. I was once in a bus and d driver commented that "this is the best road to drive on in Lagos,if not Nigeria sef" For the okota link rd, Fashola started it, but was taken to court by some landlords whose properties were to give way for d road. Being a law abiding SAN, he had to stop work. So because there's no pedestrian bridge at ur regular route I suppose at Toyota, d one at ilasa is now useless to lagosians? Well I've used it severally. And there's no pedestrian bridge leading to my abode too as Fashola can't do everything. Mind you, Oshodi-Apapa is a federal responsibility incase u forgot. Lastly, lemme end by telling you no one is perfect and u av a right to criticise Fashola. But for every finger u point at him(a performer), 1000 others point back at GEJ(a failure) and all his PDP governors(except Akpabio) I wanted to reply him too but too lazy to type a long post but one thing I don't understand was when he said Personality attack.. Can't remember Fashola talking about him or his family or I don't understand english again? |

From your comment, I can see that you are not a lawyer, so you lack understanding about how evidence can be used in court. Maybe you should read the Evidence Act for a better understanding of my comment.
From your comment, I can also see that you have the tendencies to jump to conclusions easily. Nothing in my comment said anything about GEJ or PDP or was partisan, so how you concluded that I am a 'die hard GEJ fan' I dont know. Also, how you also concluded that to me "its about PDP and APC..." I dont know. Please read comments with an open mind, and use every opportunity here to learn something. Most importantly ask questions, so that you dont make comments that make you sound dumb. If possible, just keep quiet... Just went thru ur first comment again and I realised there is no point arguing with u.....The capt has to authenticate the evidence before it can be investigated?....where did u even get u evidence act from by the way?...Just reason this, was evidence presented before DSS raided the Data centre of APC...They got information and acted on it..The person who gave them information was not present before the investigation was carried out....Can't waste my time arguing with some who thinks he knows while in the real sense has no atom of knowledge what he is talking about....Buzz of dude! |

Yes in law crime has a time frame. Even in the Nigerian constitution. All elections petition matters must be concluded within180 days. In the US one can't be prosecuted for a crime committed ten years earlier You are just dancing round the question and trying to point out that it has past.. First question: Shud the opposition candidate be in a meeting discussing security issue without the principal security officers of the state?.. 2. Shud the opposition member dangle the promotion of a military man just for him to do his bidden?..3. Why share stickers to the opposition so they can identify their cars without searching them? 4. Why ask a campaign director of the opposition to be picked up for no reason?..5. Why will it be only the PDP that attend a meeting that has to do with security of the election?...let me stop here...Fayose winning the election is a different topic, yes he won but the military were use to strong arm the opposition...Thought the military were suppose to be for everyone and not one party |
