Hmmmm..... sometimes I don't just understand. One day I am full of energy and the next I can't really place it really waiting patiently for 2nd trimester hoping all these will be better.

Thank you mama, how is first trimester treating us? As for me I can’t eat much without feeling nauseous and constipation is my best friend now.

Hmmmm…. Anytime I think am out of it, my Body revolt and ensure I vomit everything in my Tommy before am okay especially at night.

And the spitting? God Abeg!!!! I can’t wait for this phase to be over especially the spitting. Gosh!!

Some said it’s a good place. I use there for normal treatment but not for delivery

I gave birth on the 6th April 2026, I don port
On Easter Sunday, I cooked, we ate then around 5.45pm my husband went for a church program, I was alone lying down, all of a sudden I heard boom, I stood up it was blood on the floor and blood was rushing from my body like tap, I called a nurse who work in the hospital that I register she came and called a senior nurse that was how my case was declared emergency CS , I was refer to a private clinic to perform CS and d doctor said CS is 600k, I was crying and my husband was crying 2 coz we don't have that amount of money, we came back preparing 2 go 2 a teaching hospital, when my neighbor who is a midwife came and said she has handled my case before, she checked me and said its not placenta previa and my cervix was open, that was how I entered labour and on Monday around 6.45am I gave birth 2 my son without CS, God broke protocol 4 me, plz join me and thank God. Wish all pregnant women safe delivery

It depends but I think from 14 weeks. Some may get it slightly earlier than than that.

5 pairs of pants/ dresses
2 newborn hats

2 pairs of mittens, to keep baby from scratching face
3-5 (or more) outfits for dressing up


Blankets
3 large cotton blankets
8 receiving blankets (also used as burp cloths)


Breastfeeding
Lots of bibs

Breast pump (manual or electric)
Milk storage containers
Nursing pillow (not essential)

Hope we have started shopping? Don't forget to group your items so you don't miss out anything. Example:
1. Diapering - Diapers(disposable or reusable), wipes, diaper cream (vaseline, sudocream, desitin)
2. Bath time essentials - wash cloths, body wash, lotion, baby oil, hair oil, towels, bath set, alcohol i.e. methylated spirit(for umblical cord cleaning)
3. Feeding - breast feeding essentials (breast pump, breast pads, nursing bra, milk storage bottles), baby formula, bibs, bottle feeding essentials (bottles, sterilizer-microwave or electric; hot water flask)
4. Clothing - onesies (bodysuits and sleepsuits), nice clothes, hair accessories for baby girls, socks, mittens, blanket, flannels
5. Gears - Car seat, swings
6. Furniture - baby cot, beddings

Please o, its not mandatory to buy everything on the list o, buy as your pocket allows.

Also don't forget the items on your hospital list that covers items for the mother like sitz bath etc

Hello mama, you may want to wait for 2nd trimester before you buy baby things. This is because you have enough strength this period and you are causing too much stress to your newly changing body.
- Also by then you are sure of the gender so you can streamline the buying to soothe baby gender especially in colors ( except you don’t mind )

About the list, The basic ones will be given to you to guide you in the hospital when you start antenatal. While buying, you will see other important ones there ( I trust those sellers 😀) Remember they will give you useful and some worth useless items 🤐However I know we can dig up a list from this thread that was useful back then. I will quote and tag you when I see it.

Hello good people, please can a 3 weeks old baby start using sucker?? My son has practice how to suck his hands and is turning it to habit which I d on't want be used we are battling with his 2 years old brother who can suck for Africa

He should outgrow it. I don't suggest sucker. It can breed infection in several ways. My opinion tho

Pls experienced mums I need your help. My 3 weeks old baby is always bringing out milk from her nose after feeding her and even after burping. Either I lay her down or I'm holding her upright. She's been doing this from week one and was thinking it will improve but now it happens after almost every feed. What could be responsible for this and any idea on what I can do to avoid this?? Will be waiting for your responses

Sorry about this. Your baby is still quite young, you may want to see a paediatrician. Especially seeing that it happens even after burping

Hi mama, you can use cotton wool or a soft brush but ensure you get a baby toothpaste for this

My baby just clocked 9 months but she hasn't started crawling. Though she sits up easily by herself and she get on all fours and rocks back and forth but not actively crawling yet. Everyone says she's supposed to have started crawling by now.
How do I help her to start crawling. I want her to start walking by at least 1 year.

Don't mind everyone Let her do her thing. She's in the process already since she sits up and go on 4. Let her be, and while you are not looking, you will see her making progress.

You can also just put colourful toys ahead of her, not too far tho, she will figure it out. Welldone mama

You may need to visit the hospital to decide. They will check your history and probably test you. I heard implant is best depending on the number of years you want. However you know what they say..... One man's food is another man's poison

Hello, my 3 months old baby has white patches on the corner of both eyes. Pls is it normal, if not what can I use to clear it so i found ans to dis... It is called millia n it doesnt require any treatment dt it will go away on its own but if it doesn't go n it increase in size u shld c ur doctor... In gpogle dey said it can b fungi infectn too so usin coconut oil on d affected area can help clear it up

White patches can't be normal in my opinion, you may way to check with a pediatrician. Fungal cream for babies may be prescribed
