I think ordinary water is enough according to the pediatricians

My first had it too and we had to go through phototherapy, the stress was something else and isn’t something I want to go through again especially with the pains I’m going through right now, I’m not saying I won’t do it if it gets to that but our next appointment is on Wednesday and I’d love to try out any natural remedies until then

It's not cool to wait till Wednesday before taking your baby for treatment. Jaundice level do increase very fast. One can stop it from further spreading but can't undo any damage it has done. So please, attend to it fast. For starters, do SB test to know the level.

engage her with catoons, nursery rhymes, go to a toy shop, you will get varieties ranging from doll to anything colourful to your phone

NB: if you think all the toys in the world will reduce her hyperactivity...... Ehrmmm

Its milk residue. Will resolve later, but you can clean her mouth with a washcloth and warm water. There is only an extent to which your hand can get to clean the tongue but just do it. For my son, the tongue got so dirty for my liking but couldn't do much about it so I just left the tongue and just clean his mouth generally anytime I remember. Just few days ago, I discovered its all gone and the tongue is now very clean.

I was lamenting about my brokeness to a friend yesterday. After much talk, he said...Akpos but you be chef na, go bake some thing nice with your flour jare. Unfortunately, my baking pantry is dry.
Local boy ran to a baking store, bought bread things for 210. Boom! Bread is ready. The leftover ingredients will be used in making same quantity of bread.
It was difficult getting the dough to rise. The cold here is freezing

Sometimes, it's good for one to have basic skills (cooking, fixing the bulb, computer operation...)

I don't know much about this, others will share their thoughts but I think if you have used many antibacterial creams without improvement, you may want to check with a doctor. That look itchy. Sorry baby.

Hello experienced mamas, kindly help a first time mum who doesn’t know left or right in this baby issues.

My baby turned 4 months a few days ago. She has been taking SMA Gold along with breast milk from birth. Recently though, i’ve noticed that she has reduced her intake of formula.

My question is, is it time to change her food? If yes, what else can she take? Kindly recommend.

I’ll also appreciate if any experienced mama can help tell the different food babies can take at different stages, till they’re old enough to start eating our normal food. What can be found on google are majorly oyinbo food.

There are varieties of cereals and porridge for 4 months old. It will be indicated on it. I know of gerber product. You can check baby stores.

However I doubt if her reduction of formula intake is an indication of changing of food. She shouldn't reduce intake rather she should eat more than before demand for more. That, I know is an indication that she needs heavier food. I may be wrong about that opinion tho

1 sachet of ors into 1litter of water (preferably perboiled and cooled or eva water) should be consumed within 24hours.

please can you list out the recipe you used.

It's normal recipe for plain cake.

500 g butter /margarine
300 g granulated sugar (or at your discretion)
500 g of all purpose flour
10 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Note:- 250g butter (or 1 simas butter) will do about 20 thereabout. Just divide the measurement by 2

-Sieve the flour, baking powder and nutmeg into a bowl and set aside.

-Crack the eggs and beat them, then add your vanilla extract to the beaten eggs

- Put the butter and the sugar in a mixer ( or hand mix the butter and sugar) for about 30 mins till it becomes fluffy and lighter in color.
- add the egg and mix, then add flour in parts and mix.

-using spoon, put in the toaster, spread it well, cover it, in less than 5 minutes, it's done. You don't need to turn

ALWAYS COME OUT FINE AND CAN STAY FOR LONG.

Yes sandwich maker. It always come out fine and well cooked. Yes it get hot fast ( its an advantage tho) Put it the batter, spread it well, cover it and in less than 5 minutes it's done.

I am concerned about my son. He is 2 years and 2 months old.
He started school at 1 year 4 months and by the time he was 1 year 6 months, he could make full sentences like mummy I'm hungry, I want ***, in short, he could communicate very well.

When he was 1 year and 8 months, we traveled and he mixed with his cousins who speak British accent. All of a sudden, I couldn't hear him again. His words sounded like he was blabbing. I told someone who said he was trying to pick the accent and he would "reset" when we get to Nigeria. He did pick up and we could hear him well in about 2 weeks.

Now, he is 2 years and 2 months and I think this thing is back. We haven't traveled, though he has always imitated the accents he hears in his cartoon. I can hardly hear him now. He can still identify colors and shapes and all other things he knows, but stringing words together sounds like he is blabbing. I don't know if it is the cartoon accent he is imitating. I am really worried.
Has anyone experienced this before?

This is my son here. He was speaking well enough ( Not very much like that but the few he knew was clear enough) when going to school. Suddenly, he's wants to say long statements in gibberish and thinks we are flowing together. I will just say Okay after his long talk and pretend i understand well I had to look deep and I discovered its the cartoons. Since this Corona palava struck, he has spent almost all his time on cartoon either from the TV or from his Tab. So it really taking a toll on his communication skill coupled with the fact there are no kid his age around. He's 2 years, 9 months But he good thing is he's picking up new words and the is getting better by the day. So I don't think it's worth worrying about.

Sabi mamas, Meconium was seen in the amniotic fluid at 34 weeks. Please hope there is no problem?

Meconium in the amniotic fluild is a sign of fetal distress madam. Needless to say it can cause infection. Meconium is the first poo baby pass (black, gummy in nature) after birth. It won't be nice having that in the water housing the baby. Please go talk to your doctor ASAP

Is it not diaper rash? You need to air the bum, you can use a little bit of ABF cream on the affected area . Did you change his diaper to another brand?

Is this normal? Has any mama experienced this? I’m worried.

I don't know about smell oo. I didn't notice that. Did you deliberately deep smell her mouth or you always perceive the smell when she opens her mouth
