Mama I need to ask someone said I ought to be cleaning my babys mouth and tongue with cotton wool and water from birth to avoid mouth odour.How true is this have not heard of this before.

Might not be because of mouth odour parse but to just clean off milk residue which is good for their oral health. Personally, I didn't start from birth and not everyday but I tried cleaning as the much as I can.

This is the situation with my 3-year old too for a while now. We have used different antibiotics and cough medication, including home remedies yet when it seems its going, it comes back again. If you see any remedy please share.

Plus formula but it's just about 60mls once in a day. Every other meal is breast milk.
We have been feeding her with cup and spoon since morning. It seems like she cannot control her sucking reflexes. The little milk that gets into her mouth either from the breast or bottle spills out.

How is she now? Has she been able to eat since then? If not, please take her to the hospital then

My 1yr9months old king is having skin reactions which I have used 7keys and calamine lotion on his skin and other medication given to him by the physician but the thing is still coming out and scratching him especially on his hands and legs(looks like chickenpox) please what more can I use? Are you doing steam inhalation for her? Try it religiously. Doctor said 3 times a day but I did twice and it worked fine.

I have two questions, please.

First, we had our 14 weeks immunization last month. We were given three vaccines out of the four stated on the immunization card. We took OPV, Penta3 and one other that I can't remember. We didn't take IPV, but we were given appointment for 4 months which is this Tuesday.
My question here is, do they give vaccines for 4 months because for my other kids, it was 6 months Vitamin A after the 14 weeks. Hope it was not a mistake?

Then secondly, when do we graduate to size 3 diapers? The size 2 diapers we wear just doesn't strap well but it fits a bit. [s] I don't know if what I'm typing is making sense.[/s]

Graduate to size 3 already. Dunno about 4 months immunisation tho, maybe it wasn't available on that day so they scheduled you for four months

With this baby, i started with spoon and plate o and I have been maintaining that. One thing I have learnt by force is that transitioning from bottles to spoon can be a serious hardwork kind of o.

I guess only way is to continue to try, she will soon get used to it. But you go wear patience like cloth sha

Please i noticed a small growth on my dd navel...i don't really know of its a growth thou but I checked google and found out its called umbilical granuloma.I'm still cleaning with spirit but havent seen any change. Has any mum experienced this? If yes,how did you treat it?

Also,my dd nappy rash is so stubborn.
I've used sudocrem but it maked the nappy rash spot look so dry n red...i had to stop.
Kinldy recomment a good nappy rash cream for me pls.

Lastly,pls she's light skinned...I'm using Jimpo ori...is jimpo ori good or i should get only Ori.

I hope this is not coming late. I experienced this with my first child, had to take him to the hospital, was told its because the cord didn't fall off properly, the growth was eventually cut off, and we applied spirit. its just a mild process tho. I will advise you let your pediatrician check him

That claim from your MIL is not true. Your child is strong! Declare it. I didn't do any pressing whatsoever for my child and he's strong. Each child is unique in their own way and shouldn't be compared. She will do all that should be done at ger own pace. At least she's making movements

My baby boy had a tongue-tie when he was born though the nurses didn't notice it.
Some weeks later, I took him to a midwife who released it with a scissors. I don't know if she did a poor job because the tie re-attached few days later. I read somewhere that I should have been doing stretches on his tongue but she didn't tell me and by then, it had already re-attached.

This issue is giving me a lot of concern. I'm thinking of taking him to another midwife next week.

Pls what do you suggest I do?
He is 17 weeks and we reside in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Though I wouldn't mind taking him to Lagos if that would be the solution.
N/B: A pediatric nurse on hearing of the tongue-tie that was released shouted at me for doing it.

Please, dont cut that tongue again o. If you have any concern, let the pediatrician check him not sone random midwife
