The last time I checked, the oil money in Nigeria is shared and consumed by the rich (irrespective of tribe or religion or political links) even whilst the poor continue to wallow in their poverty; it has always been a Rich vs Poor battle, but divisive politicians have succeeded in brainwashing the ever gullible, educated but illiterate masses to think this has anything to do with tribe.

Now from your comment, I assume you are from either the SE or the SS? and i assume you are happy about the crippling of the oil industry because you believe this would deprive fulanis and yorubas who presumably take all the gains from the industry?

First of all, it is quite ignorant to assume that the 2 tribes you mentioned are the biggest gainers from the oil industry; the last time I checked, the 3 big Nigerian tribes are ably represented in the feast table where Nigeria's resources are shared from regime to regime. Being ignorant of this fact is the first evidence of an unfortunate mass tribal brainwash.

Secondly, the microscopic few elite of these big tribes (and also minority tribes) who may own oil blocks and who feed fattest from the oil industry, these people make up less than 0.000001% of the population and even if the conduit is cut-off, these microscopic few elite already have enough to last them 3 lifetimes. Now who are the real victims if you kill the oil industry?... The real victims are the millions of ordinary people closest to facilities and the offices. If you've ever been to or lived in an oil city like Warri or PH, you would understand how over 90% of the population of these towns directly and indirectly feed off the oil industry; bus drivers, okada men, hotel owners, mama-put owners, security men, caterers, even ashawos and to the direct staff and contractors of these companies.

Someone who has lived in a city like warri before and after the exit of a giant like Shell can testify to the colossal impact of these companies on the livelihoods of millions of people who make up the population of these cities. Only an ignorant fellow would think the main victims of a destruction of the industry would be the microscopic few elites from faraway who own blocks and who have already secured 3 lifetimes.

most of what you said is correct but i wanna add some info, the yorubas and hausas are the biggest beneficiaries of the oil revenue since 1960, 90% of oil blocs are owned by them, 85% of jobs in the oil industry belong to them, even in my state Akwa ibom; 90% of staffs in Mobil are yorubas . Now tell me how is that fair... Will you be happy to be in our shoes? The answer is no..
Until we stop/reduce tribalism in this country nothing will go well...

Oil is in the south but the head offices of these oil firms are in Lagos and Abuja...

We in the south we want others to enjoy our resources not for us to be starved from our reseources just because we are the minority...

What is really hurting me is that it's not everybody that can afford the N145/litre presently. Because I can afford doesn't mean everyone can.

Increase in fuel price would definitely put increase in everything. For example, I grind my pepper at the rate of N30 at Osogbo during GEJ regime. Then it later increased to N50. Still no big deal. Presently it was increased to N80 due to they buy fuel at N120/litre but now that it's officially N145, the price would sky rocket to maybe N100 or N120.

Increase in food stuffs, day to day activities etc.

There's no plan for the masses that will suffer the consequences.

buhari is not doing any deregulation, he is just blindly pegging the price of fuel at N145 to create a blackhole for NNPC staffs and our goat eaters to create more illicit wealth for themselves.

If NNPC is selling at 87 naira while independent marketers are selling at N145 that shows that buhari is only providing the subsidy for NNPC but removing it for independent marketers,but still expect the independent marketers to source for forex and import the fuel from our goat-eaters' refineries abroad since we are so dumb not to have one working refinery...
The big politicians will definitely pay little bribe to get the product at N87 while masses will suffer to even buy it at N200,buhari is not creating a level playing ground for all parties involve in PMS,if he wants to deregulate let every parties involve sell it at N145 thats how mobile network became affordable...

It takes a miracle to stop the down fall. Now that the wind don blow and the chicken's @@s is exposed:
1. Swallow your ego/ pride
2. Find a way to quickly patch up things with Tiwa
3. Forget everybody, the social media and focus on restoring things with your wife and 4 kids
4. Make sure that you have the blessing of your wife and then leave the country as soon as possible, return back to USA and find time to get yourself together (mentally and spiritually) right away.
5. Return back to Nigeria at the end of the year, after you're mentally and spiritually stable
6. You can then go and patch up your relationships with Tiwa's family and your father.
7. And finally, get a job or start a new sensible lucrative business, be a responsible man (father/ husband) and move on with your life.

Anything else will simply be uncivilized and a big mistake.
