The Governor of Benue State (and self claimed motor park tout) who was a one time Minister under Goodluck Jonathan, one time PDP National auditor, and one time PDP secretary Benue State is a fraud!!!

Dr. Samuel Ortom's academic credentials can best be described as "national glorification of 419", his academic credentials can be summarized as follows;

"1995 saw Samuel Ortom admitted at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained both the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Certificate and a Diploma in Journalism in 1998.

Between 2001 and 2004 Samuel Ortom studied at the Benue State University, Makurdi where he obtained the Advanced Diploma in Personnel Management as well as a Master Degree in Public Administration.

Chief Samuel Ortom soon after bagged a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) of the Commonwealth University, Belize by distance learning with bias in conflict Management.
"
http://www.medianigeria.com/45214/biography-dr-samuel-ortom/

Dr. Samuel Ortom came out with a pass grade in Advanced diploma (personnel management) from the Benue state university, it is with this "pass grade" he used to get his Masters certificate in public administration!!!

As if that is not bad enough, Dr. Ortom parades himself as a Phd holder, bagged from the "commonwealth university of Belize", the PhD was gotten within 3 days via correspondence!!!!

The commonwealth university of Belize is unaccredited and unauthorized to operate as a university in Belize. Furthermore, the NUC list it as one of the fake universities operating in Nigeria.

http://greenbiro.com/icpc-arraigns-operator-of-illegal-university-commonwealth-university-belize-in-abuja/

The Benue state governor is often referred to as the "man of God" but as it seems, Godliness was not considered in his educational exploits!!!

Politics / In The Event Of A Break War, How The Middle Belt Will Align/fare by aninibinladen1(m): 4:55pm On Jul 31, 2014
War is coming whether we like it or not, Nigeria will not go apart peacefully. All the actors (regions) will want to annex the others in order to solidify their claims to nationhood, what will determine the outcome of the war lies on how the core middle belt states will align (since they wouldn't be able to form their nation due to their different historical backgrounds. Note that this region is the only area that borders all the other regions.

NIGER: geographically in north-western Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central, ethnically the state is predominantly made up of nupe, gbagyi, hausa and some smaller tribes, Niger state will naturally align with the north, infact calling Niger a middle belt state is something that doesn't go down well with a good number of the indigenes (aside the likes of jerry gana). Niger will fight and defend the north.

KWARA: geographically in central Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central, ethnically the state is made up of Yoruba, bariba, hausa, nupe and Fulani. Unless there is an alliance or an understanding between the west and north, kwara will be a boiling point. While a good percentage of the state may lean towards the west, the north will not let it go (especially the northern elite who will see it as throwing away what their forefathers won). whether kwara aligns or not it will not count, it will be a captured state either by the north or the west, whereas the west will try to regain it's kit and kin, the north will push (even further) to capture more ground in the west.

PLATEAU: geographically in central Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central, ethnically made up of berom, ganang, rukuba, chawai, afizere, anaguta, Fulani, angas, gomai, jukun, tarok etc. Plateau will erupt! due to it's proximity to the other regions, the question of aligning is ruled out, long after the war there will still be war in plateau. The north will go after Plateau as it's first captured ground, but the people will fight back. As the war will progress, plateau's only hope will hang on the scenario where the middle-belt's single largest ethnic group (the Tivs) will try to forge a nation of their own. Due to their small numbers, the people of plateau as a means to an end, will strongly encourage the benue groups to go all out alone, else the state will in due time fall to the north.

SOUTHERN KADUNA: geographically, partly in central Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central. ethnically made up of ham, bajju, atyap, gwong, gbagyi, nizod, akulu, numana etc. The same scenario that will play out in plateau state will play out here.

KOGI: geographically in central Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central, ethnically made up of igala, okun, igbira, oworo, bassa, nupe, gwari, kakanda, ogori etc. a part of kogi will align with the west while another part will seek ties with the east. ultimately, majority of kogi will observe the direction the benue group takes. kogi will be a battle ground as the north will push in from niger/kwara axis and try to gain ground in the other regions and like kwara, kogi will be balkanized in the absence of the benue group seeking a nation.

BENUE: geographically in south eastern Nigeria but geo-politically in north-central, ethnically made up of tiv, idoma, igede, etulo, agatu. Benue's situation is a bit tricky, there are strong chances they will align with the east and there is a likelihood they will go it alone. The north due to proximity will not immediately look towards benue and the east will not waste resources and man-power starting a war with benue. Plateau, Nasarawa and to an extent kogi and parts of taraba will hope for a strong alliance to come out from benue. At the beginning of the war, benue will relatively be non active, they will watch the situation and in the end will either choose to go it alone or align with the east.

NASARAWA: geographically in central Nigeria but geo-politically in north central, ethnically made up of eggon, alajo,agatu, baribari, gade, Fulani, afo, akye etc. The fate of most parts of Nasarawa lies in what happens in Plateau while the remaining will naturally align with their kit and kin in Benue.

TARABA: geographically in east central Nigeria but geo-politically in north east, ethnically made up of mumuye, jukun, Fulani,jango, kuteb chamba etc. A few local governments will automatically align with the north while a good part of Taraba will immediately be overrun by the same north, Benue (the tivs) will take advantage and annex the parts of taraba they have always claimed to be theirs. the jukuns will give the north a run for their money but will in the end be subdued as they will have to contend with north on one front and the tivs on the other front. However, if there is a Benue/middle belt alliance (with the tivs and jukuns on one side, 60% of taraba will go to the alliance.

In the end, the north will surely have an upper hand (this doesn't mean they will win the war).

Politics / Re: FG Recalls Arunmah Otteh by aninibinladen1(m): 10:43am On Jul 20, 2012
@Davechika,

you are confusing yourself; any action the board of sec takes they take on behalf of the FG. That's the reason she went to the president to reverse her suspension. It's like a company, the head of finance can sack an accounting staff and it will be considered that the company sacked the staff. The staff can petition the MD to be reinstated.
If you are familiar with the workings of government then you will understand that in her letter of suspension by the board,the presidecy was copied. The president cannot directly monitor all the federal government institution hence the appointments of board members. If the board takes a decision,whether the president is aware or not it is the FG govt that has taken a decision.
let me give you an example; if the chief of army staff decides to send troops into niger republic without the knowledge of the president, it will be considered that the FG of nigeria has invaded niger republic. The same FG can set an inquiry panel to investigate the issue.

It seems to me you are arguing to win so i think i'll take my leave.
Politics / Re: FG Recalls Arunmah Otteh by aninibinladen1(m): 9:26am On Jul 20, 2012
@Davechika
Actually the board investigating the DG and the federal government setting up an inquiry to investigate the DG is all the same thing i.e FG investigating. The federal government can investigate a parastatal through its board,ministerial panel of inquiry,police,efcc,icpc,office of auditor general etc. Any of the mentioned can investigate a parastatal even at the same time all in the name of federal government, basically this forms as some kind of checks & balances e.g the board of sec(on behalf of th fg) can investigate the management of sec, a panel of inquiry(on behalf of fg) can investigate the same management of sec(depending on the issue,sometimes even the board is included),at the same period the efcc(also on behalf of the fg) can also investigate the same sec during the same period.
Whether board,efcc,minister,head of service,presidency,commission etc they are all federal government.
Politics / Re: FG Recalls Arunmah Otteh by aninibinladen1(m): 7:19am On Jul 20, 2012
SEC is an institution(including it's management and board) created by an act of the national assembly. Therefore it is a federal government institution carrying out regulatory functions over the NSE on behalf of the federal government.
The federal government refers to all persons and institutions carrying out official functions on behalf of the president. SEC and it's board are therefore part and parcel of the federal government.

nanos: Benue is one of the states that will implode should Nigeria divide. There is ABSOLUTELY no love lost between the Tiv (land grabbers and local oppressors) and the Idoma people.

Please ask the Senate president (an Idoma) to describe the TIV for you.

BENUE WILL IMPLODE HOW? All you have posted after this silly statement has to do with internal political supremacy rift between TIV and IDOMA. If you are Nigerian you should know that all states in the country have 3 senatorial zones with each zone struggling for political supremacy,is that what constitutes a state on the verge of implosion to you? Benue is not evenly split between muslims and christians neither are their aspirations different, so where does your implosion theory come in? If by your logic that Benue will implode because the TIVS have always dominated the political arena then KOGI will also implode since igallas dominate, CROSS RIVER will also implode since the ogoja man has not seen the governoship,DELTA will also implode since the igbos have not seen the governorship. Even with their political disagreements the TIVS and IDOMAS have managed to live together in peace with no known major ethnic FRACAS. That should be commendable,tolerance at play. I find it totally disrepectful to Benue people who have managed to live at peace with each other for some one to run around the internet trying to create an illusion of some sort of ETHNIC war between the TIVS and IDOMAS. We all know the IDOMAS have been looking for APA state just like every other damn tribe looking for a STATE of their own. HABA OGA! look at the things you posted ; YOu started by posting the non important fulani herdsmen issues which affects most of nigeria not just Benue. Then you jumped to Akume contesting against Mark for the senate prsidency sit. so what? How many igbos fought against themselves for the sit of senate president under Obasanjo? is igbo land going to implode too? Then you went to TIVS instigating other IDOMAS to stand against Mark. Thats a highly irresponsible write up, Benue zone 'c' is made up of mostly (about 80%) idomas , who do you expect to stand against Mark? a yoruba man? People have already corrected your ignorance on the ethnic nationality of Suswam's wife so i wouldn't bother going there.
And last word my friend, most you spread HATE? this thread was based on the wrong insinuation that Benue is culturally & historically more northern than southern and a southerners(me) different view on getting there and studying the people. HOW HAS IT NOW TURNED TO AN IDOMA VS TIV WAR?
Politics / Re: Nigerian Civil War - REMATCH! by aninibinladen1(m): 2:12am On Mar 28, 2012
Dede1:

How many states in Nigeria serve as home land to Tiv? Do not imply I am out to destroy Tiv.

the tivs are actually the largest ethnic group in the so called "middle belt" they are mainly in benue. they're tivs from southern taraba(wukari and takum areas) and they're tivs from eastern nassarawa. the relationship between tivs and jukuns (including other tribes in taraba) has never been healthy like wise the relationship between tivs and nassarawa people hence the high rate of conflict. you should understand that most of these tribes in taraba and nasarawa to gether with idoma and igallas were once kwararafa and as such view the tivs(who have expansionist tendecies due to their farming nature) with suspicion. these old kwararafa people will always align with the hausa/fulani when it comes to fighting the tiv man.
the jihadist never reached tivland as you have been wrongly stating neither did they reach jukun land which is farther north from tivland.the jihadist simply changed route after initial resistance and headed westward through the minna-ilorin axis and kaduna-keffi axis. as a matter of fact the first hausa man that set foot in tivland was after the colonial conquest. the tivs were actually the ones who sought and championed for a seperate region for the middle belt pre independence and rioted when it wasn't given. it may surprise you to know that at the time most of the other groups i.e idoma,igalla,igbirra aspired to be one north till years later when joseph sarwuan tarka(a tivman) woke their conciousness.
most southerners errorneously think its the tivs that have more of northern influence whereas it is actually the igbirras,igallas,yagbas,bassas and to a very tiny extent the idomas while the tivs have always maintained their identity.

believe you me i didn't know all these till weeks ago!
Politics / Re: Nigerian Civil War - REMATCH! by aninibinladen1(m): 10:51pm On Mar 27, 2012
@dede
your take on tiv people is totally wrong. all you posted are from an ignorant point of view which most southerners are guilty of. i was guilty of this same ignorance until i travelled to makurdi and gboko(head quarters of tivland). since then i've done a bit of researching on this people. they're no hausa/fulani fights over control in tiv land,they don't even share a boundary. the conflicts there are isolated at border villages btw benue/nasarawa and wukari/takum axis in taraba. these conflicts involve nomadic herdsmen ravaging farmlands and thereof clashing with the farmers. you will agree that this is not a solely tiv problem but one that affects most of nigeria and even west africa. these nomads during the dry season move southwards for grazing.
on the issue of islamic influence in tiv land thats like saying there is igbo influence in ile ife. you really goofed when you said tiv dressing and names are islam influenced and that some one was mistaking tiv for idoma,jukun and co. it is actually the other way round. you are most likely to find ,jukunS,igalas with first names like audu,attahiru,musa etc. it is rare to find such names amongst the idomas and almost impossible to get such amongst the tivs.tiv names are very unique and are at times jaw breaking or lovely; herman iorwase hembe is a tiv man, mike kaase aondoakaa is tiv so is barnabas andyer gemade,gabriel torwua suswam,samuel ortom,george akume and paul iyorpuu unongo. do those names sound islamic or hausa/fulani to you?. are you aware that benue is the only state in the north that hausa is not spoken? tiv and idomas that speak hausa are those that grew or schooled up north.you are likely to find more hausas in port harcourt than in benue(not proven). the tiv paramount ruler is called 'tor tiv',second class chiefs are called 'ter' and the third class chiefs 'tyoor'. they have a distinct traditional attire(the black & white dress).
so if i may ask where did you get your assertion that tivland is influenced by islam or hausa fulani?
Politics / Re: Understanding Benue! by aninibinladen1(m): 11:51pm On Mar 15, 2012
movers82: Nice observation from the poster, I am Idoma and my village shares boundary with Nsukka.Benue has got nothin similar with the north both culturally and religiously. We are more naturally inclined to the south than north though I would rathere be called a middle belter than be classified as north or south.

i read some more on benue and i notice that politically idomas tend to be pro establisment pro northern whereas the tivs seem to always lean towards anti establishment and are progressives i.e the tivs through umbc in the 60's and 70's aligned with the action group just like now most tivs are action congress (a party considered a yoruba progressive party)
