Jamie shared a popular sentiment from the Europeans without thinking it through. Rio on the other hand spoke with sense and perspective - a rapidly declining trait in this digital age. |
Until we see this in action, it's just talk as before. Sometimes I wonder what this people do in their high office than just talk. |
The federal government has a target of producing over 2 million barrels per day of crude oil in 2025, but its output for January was 1.5 Mbps. It is short of 500,000 bpd, but the government has vowed to meet this target this year, as the 2025 budget is benchmarked on an output of 2.06 Mbps.Nigeria don't produce 2million barrels per day but yet our budget is benchmarked to 2.06 Mbps. Una well done o! |
Ohanaeze, rest. Maybe some of the things need to come to light but that something will change significantly in the politics of this country, not sure in this century. |
Where is the data? Can it be independently verified? These leaders just open mouth wah! May God have mercy. Most Nigerians have their tax deducted from base (their salaries). Yes, some companies do not remit these taxes and that's why the tax agencies chase them. |
“If you find a farm land near you, cultivate it, grow your crops, so that it can reduce your expenses and so on.It's statement like this that shows whether leaders care or not. He now wants to give example of second income stream and he's talking about farming, when everyone knows what happened and is happening to farmers and their farmlands. Not only that, "If you find a farm land near you, cultivate it." Just like that. No due process. Just grab the land and start to use. Do these ones just talk without thinking? It's difficult to understand the thought process. Fact is, citizens should not be the ones suffering for government mismanagement. If citizens are to manage and adjust, let's see from the leaders. Let's see how they are cutting costs. |
How sad. |
MURIC now supporting General Abacha right? Do we get that right? Nice to know. |
Ohanaeze, 10 trillion naira as how? That's more than 20% of the Nigerian 2025 fiscal budget. This case might win in the court of public opinion but it won't stand in a court of law. Ohanaeze should choose their medium carefully. |
Too bad. Small repair work, he replaced a component with stone. Later on, he will be crying for help all around. |
These ones are not thinking of Nigeria and Nigerians, except as it relates to their pockets. |
Good for you o aunty. Nobody go dey inside marriage with you. To your tent, o ye Online in-laws! |
“Many people from my region have done the same, so I followed suit. I know it’s illegal, but this was my only way in,” a 27-year-old from Gujarat said in a report by The Times of India. When people complain online of their lives in a foreign country, it would be good to know their history. Imagine what the story of this individual would be. |
baralatie:Anybody can posture. World leaders do it all the time. Zelensky was posturing with that comment. Per your theory, all Russia had to do was to try and influence the 2019 election in their favour as well. Maybe they tried and it was not enough. |
Loved the caveat of Zelensky swapping his presidency for NATO membership. Point is, that NATO membership he has been seeking has always been far-reaching. Even the Biden administration with the EU could not promise him that. He should not expect the Trump administration to do that for him whether he resigns or not. |
It's interesting that Professor Osinbajo was the reviewer of the book. At least, past leaders are seeing eye to eye despite their harsh differences and convoluted past. Maybe the "followers" can do the same so that we can live in peace with one another. |
This is unfortunate. May the soul of the departed RIP and wishing quick recovery for others. Hopefully, the government will take care of these affected students and properly rebuild the structure, so that their education can continue. And use that opportunity to check other public structures to prevent recurrence of these tragedy. |
If she no bring the matter to the public herself, people should learn to mind their business. These distractions some are looking for will soon land them where they don't like. |
Gentle reminder for the public: that someone is worth $1bn does not mean they have $1 billion in cash. It means their assets (usually stock/share holdings in 1/more companies) are worth $1 billion. This value of course, goes up and down, depending on the market. So when next you see a billionaire, he might be going through some serious issues. Have mercy and don't pester with your concerns. |
6 Nigerians on this list. Very nice. But Nigeria itself... May God have mercy on this nation. |
The initiative aims to train one million Nigerians in AI and emerging technologies, aligning with the country's draft National AI Strategy, which seeks to equip 70% of its young workforce with AI-related skills. This move is expected to support job creation, as AI is projected to contribute $15 billion to Nigeria’s GDP by 2030, with the global AI market expected to generate over 70 million new jobs.I always laugh when I see these projections for Nigeria. It's good but the path does not seem to look like it. Hopefully, Nigeria will get there, and the land will rejoice. |
FG, Binance is not the problem but it's fine to look for scapegoats. |
Trump has fed into Putin's narrative that Ukraine is the one to blame for the war. Going by that premise, he's going to do everything to sideline Zelensky and cause more issues for the Ukrainians. By admitting that alone puts Putin on the right foot. Ukraine didn't need to arm-twist the US into supporting him. Let's not get it twisted - Russia invaded Ukraine. Zelensky was simply standing up for his country and went about asking for support. The US, UK and EU gave him their support. They are helping Ukraine to deter a bully. Why? Maybe they were thinking about Hitler. Peace is good but the path to peace is very important to avoid future reccurence. Who says tomorrow that Putin won't start another war? (For now, he's likely going to get everything he wants and may make Trump look good or not.) And for Trumpers, Ukraine not doing an election is per their constitution that no election shall hold during war. That has been in existence since 1992 or so. But will Trump acknowledge that? |
Stealing is not good but people have seens massive stealing and extorition from the days of NEPA to PHCN and now DisCos. They will definitely look for scapegoats. |
Dem wan reduce the small data wey people dey use vent online... APC, how is this renewed hope? |
Even though peace is the goal, the path to that goal is always important, especially when 2 countries are involved, so that no one is cheated out of rightfully belongs to them. Now Ukraine is the aggressor? What will Musa not see in this Trump second series? |
The three lawmakers disclosed to PUNCH Online in separate telephone interviews that their defection was to align with the party at the state level because of the sterling leadership and performance exhibited by Governor Uba Sani... The lawmakers stated that the political future of their constituents was sacrosanct and they believed that they would serve their people better in the ruling party.Exactly how would these ones serve their people better in the ruling party? There must be serious consequences for crossing parties AFTER winning an election. If not, this country would gradually slide into a one-party state. PDP needs to do better and stand strong in the place of opposition. |
SW governors looking as if they are seriously working. It's good they come together for the security and prosperity of the region. Today, we had a meeting of the South West Governors’ Forum and passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the economic stability and improvements recorded across the nation, particularly in the sustained supply and distribution of petroleum products and the stabilisation of the exchange rate. But Oga Sanwo, you could have gone ahead to talk about the other initiatives like NELFUND, DAWN, SWDC etc than remotely even mention economic stability. But hey, it's all politics. |
This is a very sad and gruesome death. No matter the offense, taking someone's life is not a joke, much less in this crude manner. May his soul RIP and may his family left behind be comforted. |
The Dangote Oil Refinery is exploring new markets for its refined products. Founder Aliko Dangote told a group of Nigerian professionals who visited last week that it was sending two cargoes of jet fuel to Saudi Aramco as part of its plans to expand. “We are looking at all the markets right now,” said Devakumar.Man doing business. It's a pipe dream to think that he was gonna be Nigeria's saviour for refined petroleum. |
Vayulence. Press am! |
Na politician. They flip-flop harder than real flip-flops. Nothing should surprise anyone. |
