If FG is asking Nigerians to tighten their belts, they should also tighten theirs. Let them lead by example but it's like we're asking too much. |
Those who knew better already said the news about the PH refinery working is like the news about Nigerian Air. We shall all be fine las las. It would have been better if the FG have transfered the money (just this last $1.5bn used in refurbishing the refinery this time) to the individual account of Nigerians. |
It's sad and the blame will go round well enough, but it won't bring back the dead. Maybe it will prevent future deaths but in a country with failing numbers on all development indices AND politicians continue to award contracts and ridiculous budget line items to themselves, won't hold my breath. |
Good to hear Northerners speaking to themselves. Hopefully, they will learn and adjust. Words are not enough. |
It's attacks like this that cause people to hate on Muslims. Especially when fellow muslims and leaders will not condemn these actions. |
Morbeta11:That part is very important. The claimant had already complained to the Telco and it was documented and yet, MTN kept sending the messages. Judge referred to it as "unlawful enrichment". Kudos to the man for fighting this case to this point. |
This life is all about choices and consequences. Cause and effect. Sowing and reaping. What matters most to you now and what will matter to you 50 years from now? This decision will influence your choices. May the Force be with you! |
These numbers (from NNPC) always look bogus. So they made this much in revenue, great. Kudos. That link does not share the details of their balance sheet or is that supposed to be private? |
Ademola, enjoy your win man. Wishing you all the best! |
Best option is to know someone that knows someone that can fast-track it. In any case, if you're in Lagos, go to Festac and lay in wait for the head as if you want to make a complaint. If not in Lagos, go to Ekiti, heard it is faster there for a while. All the best! |
Nice positioning. At least, he's building it in Nigeria. Hopefully, it will be impactful for the community and the country. |
This is a really good thread. How have I missed it all these years? |
robosky02:North Africans, how far? First, Salah. Now, Morocco? Achraf is popular but his club and country did not have that much result as compared to Lookman's success in the past year. There is no special consideration or calculation, just pure results. Maybe CAF should start making their voting public like FIFA. |
Nigeria our country. Since Union don reach and now standing strong in Abuja, what else should we expect? |
First, there should be an independent non-partisan body in Nigeria that will be dissecting bills like this. Cos it's increasingly difficult to know what's good or not, when it comes to policies by the Nigerian government. zero8zero:Secondly, why does it look like this NASS is always doing rubber-stamp for the President? |
That was close though but at least, people's preference seems clear. |
Was it really a successful launch in Canada? Maybe the Ontario area and even at that, the issues were much (not to mention the other "issues" . |

This number is not numbering. Budget is galloping and debt servicing follows hard. Don't be deceived though with that supposed 30%. Before you know it, another number is out. And everything becomes muddled up. The koko of the matter is simple: more/higher taxes for the masses whose "take home pay" is not taking them home. ===== Wanna be ready for 2025? From this his statement now, are we to understand that if Buhar is 'friend of the poor', the man that succeeded him is 'friend of the rich'? If the past president cared for the masses and not remove fuel subsidy, then the current president DOES NOT CARE for the masses. Is that about right? One thing about politicians is that they can always count on the masses having short-term memory. Funny lots! |
Correct guy! Switching his nationality to play for Nigeria paid off big time for him and Nigeria. Now, on to greater things. |
His social media, his opinion. But hey, what did he win all through the year again? |
Love this victory for Lookman and Osimhen. Making Nigeria proud despite everything. |
Very well-deserved victory and honor for VJ7 and Real Madrid. Hopefully he can improve his form and drop the on-pitch provocations |
Umarnuhu1990:We know this. They know this. The country will be fine las las. |
Cash scarcity but almost all the 500 and 1000 notes had 2024 as their print date. Nigeria! Cash scarcity in a country that has only 45% of 15+ having an account with a financial institution. Cashless policy is good but the country is just not ready. Source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1139751/popularity-of-financial-products-or-services-in-nigeria/ |
Why are people blaming Tinubu? (Maybe for cruise sha) but expelling those countries was necessary. And there are conditions if they want to come back. It's all just normal geopolitical stuff. Even Nigeria got sanctioned during the military days. Nothing special. |
Kind o, wicked o, na God know wetin dey everyone's mind. But you will reap whatever you sow. So try do good with a sincere heart. That's why wisdom is the principal thing. |
May God have mercy! This man needs some serious spiritual and psychological help. |
I just dey smile with this win. Really good news for Lookman and well, puts Nigeria in some good light. Wishing Ademola Lookman greater success in his career for club and country. |
Islie:This part is sad to read. Hopeful that the Nigerian Police will one day rise to the challenge of securing lives in Nigeria. Yes, we know they are understaffed and underpaid but what's the point of them if they can't do their jobs? Might be interesting to see what the numbers are in previous years cos it seems like evildoers have seen a cashcow. |
