This land's atheists and even some christians are very much confused. Someone came to use the "Bible" to debunk existence of spiritual spouses. This same "Bible" that Atheists don't believe in, yet they are here supporting a theory of its non existence with points from the Bible. Spirit spouses stems from shamanism and is more spiritual than religious. Pop Quiz, this same practice is believed in almost all continents.

If the Bible explained the concept of fallen angels (spiritual beings) and how they assumed (human form) to sleep with people. This evidently adds "lust" and "sex" to their resume.
More-so, if the bible explains that we(born -again believing christians) are brides of Christ, why cant anybody or others be brides of some other spiritual entity.
Please it is difficult to seperate religion from spirituality.

The other day on the Religion thread, Atheist were giving reasons as to why homosexualism should be legalised. Can you imagine one was describing how some amphibians and animals (fish) have homosexual tendencies. And of course they were created by "God". Arguing that why also humans should be free to do same.
Religion aside, A grown ass human-being consciously compared the human race, its dominance and all it's intelligence to terrestrial and aquatic animals?

Yes I am certain of the cases. I witnessed them. I mean how else, physically or scientifically can you explain those cases? So when unbelievers troop in to say they do not believe it because they didn't witness it. Why shouldn't we hope they see evil so they'll stop misleading others.

for every thread about someone undergoing or believing to undergo unusual difficulty, dreams or strange physical manifestations, I marvel at the comments mostly. Among these opinionated lots are the Religious who know and are certain it is a supernatural effect, deliverance, prayers, communion with God is usually their recommendation. Then comes the lot who are always opposite to the former. Quick to dislodge such belief as the mere idea of spiritual attack is unfound and mere fallacy. According to them, this condition is just "in the mind" - No one can threaten you metaphysically, No one can inflict a jinx on you, no one can leave his space and infringe yours, No one man has all that power, in fact there are no wickedness on high places.

These different opinions can be very confusing to the original poster, adding more confusion to his predicament - poor him. As of many of these undocumented cases (on Nairaland), it isn't clear what measures some of these people eventually take. Did they eventually solve the problem by believing it is "in the mind" or seeking help from a higher Deity?

Follow up comments by the pro Religious to these latter groups are usually "Well, i just pray you never see evil in your life". That is a good prayer to someone anyways. But then again, why should i "pray you never see evil?" so you can continue misleading and confusing people with your "in the mind" judgement?. Misleading people that spirituality does not exist?

Do you know exactly what people go through when they experience strange manifestations, in dreams for example. I've also read some low level "reasons" for strange dreams by these second group. Talk about it has something to do with the state of thought/ consciousness before sleeping etcetera. Even the westerners have calculated the probability of thunder striking in same place twice. How else can you explain a dream, happening, same way, every night, consistently for years? Calculate the probability of that accidentally occurring. Or someone being hit by an animal each time in her trimester, and wakes up to a miscarriage. Consistently. Calculate that probability.

Furthermore, i have read a lot of threads from Atheists here and i must say the only intelligent thing about your writing is the grammar you employ.That we may need to consult the dictionary for few of your sentences never validates your article. One particular area that piqued my interest however was your stance about "Atheist not needing to provide proof of a higher deities non existence" but Believers do. Well, i am not here to argue with anybody or why i believe in a higher Deity, but i will tell you why i do - In clear simple terms. And no, not by my personal experiences yet (and i have a plethora of them).

Look at the Animal kingdom, there is Strata, Hierarchies. Liken it to a food-chain. Autotrophs > Herbivores > Carnivores > Saprophytes (if you may). In essence, the strength/energy/authority is increased from left to right. STRATA/HIERARCHY. Who made this rule? i don't know (I honestly do not know). But they live by it.

Lets extend this to humans, babies > teenagers > adults. left to right rule once again. STRATA. In your office, executive > Supervisor > Manager > Regional Manager. STRATA/HIERARCHY. By further extension, society > local counsilor > state governor > President > Monarch. STRATA and HIERARCHY again. who enforces this rule? how did it begin? (i honestly don't know) Why aren't we all just equal? (search me). But we live by it, the animal kingdom lives by it. So therefore, we cannot deny the existence of hierarchy in our existence. The next level after Man must be supernatural (Maybe aliens) then gods, to whatever ultimate higher Deity you believe in.
Then i can hear you ask, why don't we get to see (physically) the next level hierarchy. This is where metaphysical comes to play. I use the term metaphysical because i think that is a common ground. I should believe Atheist believe in metaphysics. Self awareness, "being one in the mind", astral travel, premonition etc. If you even believe that, then you obviously KNOW, THAT YOUR PHYSICAL BODY/BEING IS NOT ALONE IN THIS JOURNEY/WORLD.
So therefore, there are spiritual entities (which may reside in you) of higher HIERARCHY / STRATA than humans.

Higher spiritual deities with no respect to levels/Power/Good or Bad can be your budda (Buddhism), God (Christianity), ALLAH, cherubs etc. Each of these Deities owe certain answers to their believers (if they request). Answers as to purpose on earth, worship etcetera.

Again, when people allude some strange physical manifestations to sicknesses. Say the popular one Nairalanders use "Schizophrenia". There is a thin line which is often blurred between Schizophrenia and Metaphysical. Let me explain. When someone experiences hallucinations, vocal continuous dialogues in this case (with people not visible to the human eyes) which are symptoms. You'll agree the brain is telling the patient things are being said (openly) to him, the patient doesn't reply sub-consiously (in the mind), the patient responds as if it was a physical discussion. This is greatly metaphysical because third parties only hear one side of the discussion, only the patient's. Even in India, the supposed medical capital of the world, medical communities are beginning to use spirituality known as "Religious coping" as an approach to solve mental illness (Schizophrenia).

I know a lady who later in life was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She had all the symptoms. But i know all that is just stories because in the very early stages of her condition. This lady will be as far as 45 m (beyond hearing range) seeing two people discussing and can tell what they are talking about. I kid you NOT. She knew what people discussed which was physically impossible. We investigated and found these discussions were in sync. Later on, her sickness/manipulations began terribly and it was termed Schizophrenia.

Or why someone locked in a room with ordinary "mental illness" can discern whether her food was blessed before being served thereby not eating it. And if it wasn't hence eating it.

Please let us not talk about what we have little knowledge of hence not be deceived. The greatest deceit of the Devil is to try to convince people he does not exist.

Deep down, If you feel there is something wrong and something needs to be done. Then something needs to be done.

We are not alone in this world. There is a hierarchy, a superior being. Who is yours?

In fact, recruiters begin counting employment experience from 12 months minimum. You should however leave it included. And have a good reason as to why you left (if you are no longer on the job).

It shouldn't be much of a problem if you are still on the job. Till the recruiters ask you anyways, why you want to leave a 5 month old job so soon?

I was a hopeless alcoholic. I depended on it. Early morning before work, I'll hurry a bottle or a satchet (I usually called that "take away" then destroy the evidence with sweets. Spent numerous cross-overs at bars drinking. One period, I'll buy some bottles, drive to old bar beach to just finish them alone by myself. That was a Saturday morning ritual.

It started in the University. I never quit a drinking session till I hit "10 Star general" literally. Or pass out trying. I never womanized or smoked, but alcohol? My weakness.

I aced everything. Every brand my money could afford at the moment - exotic or indigenous, I was there. I'll go drinking at the slightest opportunity. I always had a glass bottle of orijin in my room. I'll finish a minimum of three bottles per pay. Cup by cup. Bottles piling. Same routine next day.

I'll have a cup when I wake up, before I eat, even while I eat, a cup of my buddy is there to step down. At every individual moment, I'll have at least 3 brands of whisky in my closet even during my postgraduate time. Friends knew I was the go to guy. I remember having numerous memory lapses at a time. Like so many hours I couldn't remember or account for.

I'll invite any lady I meet to heavy drinking no matter how soon we met. I literally inducted people to drinking. Days, weekends full of passing out. On solely alcohol. A lady friend of mine lost her Dad. She was distraught, she called me. I felt bad that i introduced her to heavy drinking. That was the only solace I had, the only way I knew to brood. Thank goodness she found her way out. I was indeed a mess.

Most Sunday mornings, I'm at a pub drinking.
After work, I'm at a pub. Drinking. Few days after my appendectomy, I was with my buddy. I've at numerous times had a bottle before an interview. I found it soothing. It relaxed me.

I had a policy to never turn alcohol down. Or not finish a bottle - never dishonor my buddy. I considered it a kind of solemnization to drink with you - to invite you to my table and drink with you.
Believe it or not, I've had very little embarrassing moments. One of such occasions was after a friends wedding, we got back to our hotel, I was so drunk and angry at something I can't remember. I walked out of the hotel say 1 am and kept going till I blanked out. Events between then and dawn are still unaccounted for. I'll say the most embarrassing was the memory loss/skipping, forgetting names or mixing them up.

But then it dawned on me that this wasn't living. I felt empty. It was usually this emptiness that drove me to it initially (2006).

No matter the number of female friends I had around me, I didn't have a relationship, or I couldn't keep one or I wasn't interested in first place. I pushed people away. I was only happy in my buddy's presence. I felt empty. I tried withdrawing but I'll be right back to it. I understood I couldn't get different results using same methods. Most importantly, there is no other way to stop the addiction than cutting it COLD.
Once you realise it is reducing the quality of your life, you are on the way of winning the addiction. I had to cut off some people. Stayed away from pubs. You might not be a Christian and so I hate to include this; but I don't believe I stopped without some higher power/support.

I realised it was inherently a family habit. While there are some other vices that alcoholism fuels and some spiritual attachments to it. I won't talk about that because it isn't in the scope of my answer to your post. Plus I will never impose or suggest my belief on/to you without permission.

Nevertheless, now you understand it's a problem, the scoreline is You 1:1 Alcohol you are almost winning. I believe the next step to make is reduce your dependence on it. Then after, you'll score the winner by leaving it completely.

For how long was she taken? How did she survive without her medications. Did she not have any medical emergencies?

This whole story; Fictitious or not. is beyond me.

I hate seeing replies to posts like this with;

1. You should have not ..........

3. Why didn't you use a condom ...........

It irks me. He didn't request for opinion on what he should have done differently. He came with a problem, give an idea of your solution or fast-forward.

Again, the question of the poster is paraphrased as "I don't know if I should tell my fiancee that I got another girl pregnant since she now incessantly calls and text"

Well, yes you should inform her. Especially when we are sure the pregnant lady isn't terminating it (Thank goodness for that by the way). Realise also, you have made a mistake and if she (fiancee) decides to leave you, she is justified. You deserve no pity. You deserve to be a dad. You've earned it.

1. After salutations and introductions. Before the commencement of phone interviews, because it is impromptu, you are usually asked if the time is convenient for you. I believe you replied in the affirmative. Next time however, when you realise a technical problem, kindly request for some extra minutes to sort (borrow or use another phone or whatever technicality as the case may be) yourself. It is different from a sit in interview because in the latter, it is expected that you came prepared.

2. Whatever "being too honest about my qualification" means, everybody, I repeat everybody would love to brandish all his relevant qualifications when being interviewed for a job. Except you are desperate and the job requires a degree lot less than yours. Nevertheless, most candidates will still present their best qualification to distinguish them. Well like I said; whatever your "being too honest about your qualification" means.

3. You understood the job role. You understood skills required to excel in the job role. What "abilities" in particular did you purposely hide and for what reason did you not emphasize on it?
You hated doing it because they were not professional skills/abilities? If they weren't relevant to the job role, why do feel bad about not mentioning them?
This again, Does not make any sense.

4. Asking plenty "relevant" questions concerning a job is not detrimental to your being employed. In fact it explains how inquisitive and mentally sharp you are and this includes salary negotiations. Remember I said "relevant".

5. And No. It is (not) a bad thing to lie to interviewers. Except if the fib is about a particular place you worked (which you didn't), Age (which you can't prove) Educational qualification (which you don't have) or a Certification (which you don't have and "not in view".

As for other (lie(s)) things; say you mentioned a particular role or responsibility which you did not do; However, mentioning it improves your candidacy for the interviewed job, be ready to defend and know every single bit of it. Which isn't a tard difficult if you are mentally sharp and able to use google properly.

Summarily, you might think you have written a lot or explained a problem. You haven't really, because most of the things you wrote are vague, snowy and without much end.
