Jobs/VacanciesRe: Sitp/2 Delay by Anniwil(m): 7:26pm On Nov 25, 2008
@ amydychic,i dunno wt category of SITP u applied for weda it's SITP1,if so, u just have to wait and i really don't have so much info as per them, but the last i gathered they sent new rejection letters to some erstwhile hopeful candidates. So if u were not in that number that received a rejection letter at any point in time and wrote this years'test you may as well turn to God in prayer and ask him to have mercy like we who have completed the program are doin.

Hi y'all! i suppose the waitin is gruelsome,or better still tiring, moreso as SPDC is not saying anything, last i heard,it's paucity of funds that's impeding the major planned recruitment, the next is that as a matter of policy, recruitment into Shell for both SITP';s pending, someone out there may second the matter.that's what this thread is to keep hope alive!as for our E&P guys going in jan.to Ogun state, this may well be where to begin the beginnin before the beginning begins.Anyways!has anybody heard anything yet? When is SPDC/SNEPCO likely to start callin,it's three months now and still counting, ANi huh huh, Aniwil

Anniwil, I think you need to try a lot of math problems, to sharpen your math skills. Then you may play some of these technical games, which have to do with shapes, and arrangements of numbers and all that. Just keep practising technical stuff and math, and leave the rest to God. I think engineering tests are like that a good number of times. And pray to be lucky too. Kenosky, am I right? Afterall, I'm not an engineer myself.
Omo! thanks man i'll do just that.

I think the engineers will be in a better position to help you out. The 1st stage of the last exercie that was done was actually managed by WAEC (i think. . .). I don't know if they will use them again. . . No wahala. . . just stay tuned on this thread.

RomanceRe: She Can't Cook: by Anniwil(m): 6:03pm On Apr 12, 2008
[What does it matter if she can't cook?? Her cooking does not define who she is. What is important is to have food on the table either be a Take out or homecooked. And since i know how to cook, it's no big deal. It means my Baby will be getting a lot of breakfast in bed. And if she is willing to learn, they sell "How to cook for dummies" book in the stores[/col]
personally u are on ur own,in Africa a woman must know how to cook or why you be woman at all?.Any girl wey no fit cook na shame to her family, let's not erode the Africa values in the name of civilisation.

yeah Myro no long thing!,abeg for wot i know bone the matress thing,as for the curtain nna na wa o!!! u need only very little things when packing here, glad we've an SITP1 guy who's interested in tennis though(u may bring your racket if convenient for u but don't bother about futbol boots),i very rarely see the current guys here in the court and yeah there's a standard gym,a football pitch, some indoor games infact shell dey try so just forget the idea of overpacking,u may just bring some clothes, possibly a small i-pod and well maybe an auxiliary bedsheet yah with some shoes, every other thing is provided for,n u may get some over here that u think u may need on arrival, you shld also bring those toiletries but not a bucket, just soap e.t.c every other thing is taken care of by SHELL.cheers for now!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Anniwil(m): 4:51pm On Feb 08, 2008
Ya KDB sorry for the long wait.SITP/2 is a program for technicians(OND Holders) prior to now, they used to do the training in PH but things changed and we were moved to Edjeba last two yrs. It's a yearly program like SITP1,except that we ain't staff on training,we also write exams(just finished one) too but whereas SITP1 usually have their assessments weekly/fortnightly ours is after six wks, after the whole exercise we MAY be employed(though shell insists we will after a 'long' or short' wait),but the letter of admission says otherwise,we are also paid some STIPEND though not on shell's payroll, so much for now ,we may get to chat on ur arrival in April.Cheers!!.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Anniwil(m): 2:17pm On Feb 05, 2008
Well for KDB and others congrats, like i said u guys shld see us as your brodas when n u arrive here o!!(us in SITP/2).I really enjoy this thread, the hopes expressed e.t.c.But i've got some news, was at a shell meeting in which Mutiu Sunmonu, the current MD,SPDC and Ann Pickaard,The Vice President,Exploration and Production(West Africa) addressed us,the fact is that Shell is being owed about 2 billion dollars for the JV patnership by the Federal Government and it's affecting their operations (and their paying contract staff),also the MD made it clear that the PROJECT "one shell" is under TEMPORARY SUSPENSION as the FG has asked for further clarifications from the shell mgt.The overall effect is that those who are scheduled to be retired will not yet be retired until this whole thing is sorted out.Well for all the shell hopefuls who are coming into SITP/1,there's no cause for alarm as you are STAFF ON TRAINING with some big pay package.I imagine u guys buying UR IV-TECs,JEEPS AND SLEEK CARS AT MOST FOUR MONTHS INTO THE TRAINING,but like i earlier said see us as your broda.o!!So much for now,i really buy the idea of getting names and numbers of members who'll be joining us here in April.i'll start with my e-mail addy xtracoded@yahoo.com for security reasons. .at least  celebrating over a bottle of beer will suffice.Cheers y'all.back to my moduluminous modules(imagine i get exam 2mrw,i neva even read)

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Anniwil(m): 9:24pm On Jan 24, 2008
yeah cutesy nice of u to reply, part of the restructuring is that the shell companies in Nigeria.SNEPCO,SPDC and SNG are coming together under a project they call ONE SHELL.so effective April,i believe there may no more be this SNEPCO,SPDC or other arms of Shell but a single unit SHELL,the other is that prior to now it appears the different arms' departments have been having their offices duplicated,so the plan is to ensure this is not to be.Also some staff,I don't really know the number as well as contractors(be aware that for every staff in shell, there are abt 70 contractors)are being retired majorly becos they have exceeded 25yrs and others for repeated technical incompetence.Well,i guess the overall effect of this is that some offices may need hands but these hands may need to learn fast on the job, hence the new stream of SITP trainees to fit in.,For u who was invited u need not bother as ur space is there after successful completion of the program, remember ur entry status IS AS A STAFF ON TRAINING,so except u fail out,you will pass in.Our only prayer is that this incessant bursting of pipelines and loss of production per day should stop,it's really spoiling things. So much for now,we may see when u arrive Edjeba n if u still wanna know more feel free to ask, for now,i gotta go get down to my moduluminous modules.later.

i don't really belong to the click of shell hopefuls,bt congrats for u guys who made it.The program is very intensive so for u guys who r now staff, congrats.A major restructuring is taking place in Shell now and this is affecting the organisational structure, let me not bore u with the details,bt for those of us in SITP/2,we just want you guys on arrival to see us as your broda, when u get to warri,u'll understand why.for now i bliv the medicals are comunity based, later they will go national, congrats once again to all who succeeded, for those who didn't,put it in mind that this period is agog with openings in the oil and gas industries as most of them are expanding more than before,so just keep on praying and also applying. It's well.I actually be reached on xtracoded@yahoo.com.I won't mind an IV to a welcome party on ur arrival n settlement.Cheers
