*HOW TO PREPARE FOR RAPTURE'*

*Blowing of Trumpet,*
*(Trumpeting Evangelism)*
*Part 3*

We have always mentioned the four points below as the reasons for blowing a Trumpet or Sounding an Alarm

-a. *to herald a king*

-b. *that a thief is around*.

-c. *to warn when there is danger*.

-d. *to wake up sleeping people.*

We have also been stressing that once a trumpet is blown or alarm sounded, it must have the features below. It must be

-a. *Loud & persistent*

-b. *Targeted at multitudes*

-c. *Not stopped until it accomplishes its purpose.*

In view of these, we concluded that the last days evangelism must do the followings

-d. *announces the coming of the Lord*, Jesus Christ)

-e. *exposes the thief (the devil) and his works*.

-f. *alerts the people of the coming dangers (hell, tribulation, judgement of God)*.

-g. *wakes up sleeping believers, refires lukewarm Christians.

In part 2, We treated the first two points in details. Now, we want to look at the remaining two points.

*Doing Evangelism to Warn of Dangers*
Ezekiel 33:3-4
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring *the sword* upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their *watchman:*

3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, *he blow the trumpet*, and *warn the people*;

4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

6 But *if the watchman see the sword come*, and *blow not the trumpet,* and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman�s hand.

7 So thou, O son of man, *I have set thee a watchman* unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

God has set every every minister as Watchman to warn the congregation that dangers are coming. Equally, He has set the Father as Watchman to warn the family of the dangers that are coming. Dangers like *great tribulation*, *wrath of God*, *sudden destruction*, *persecution*, *hell*, and so on.

Our evangelism; in the church, solemn assembly and to the world, in addition to calling sinners to accept Christ, must also warn of coming dangers.


*Evangelism to Wake Up Sleeping Believers*

Mathew 25:5-7
5 While the bridegroom tarried, *they all slumbered and slept*.

6 And at midnight there was *a cry made*, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins *arose*, and trimmed their lamps.

*All the ten virgins slept off* because the bridegroom tarried. *If not that a cry was made (an alarm was sounded) that to wake them up, the bridegroom would have met them sleeping and none of them would go with Him.

Majority of the believers are spiritually sleeping. They are not watching, not Preparing, not ready.

Our messages in the church, solemn assembly, and family must be such that must wake believers up to the reality of the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is coming. Stay ready in absolute repentance, watchfulness and holiness.

Just yesterday, okada riders burnt a police station at Ibadan.

The masses have been suffering right from time, a man who can't afford a square meal won't mind if the country is on fire. Aftermath of the endsars, did you see any sign of government commitment towards good governance which was the objective of the protest? I think you should divert your energy towards advocating for good governance.

I personally believe that the impact of another endsars protest or other protests of that magnitude happening too soon in Nigeria will be too grievous for the nation to bear and all parties (government, youths, masses) must pray, act, negotiate, educate to avert any recurrence of such Protests.

It has become three different occasions now, after the protest, that I have dreamt of the ENDSARS Protests coming back to Nigeria.

On the third occasion of the dream, I saw Security forces of the government going from house to house to forcefully arrest the ENDSARS Protests leaders.

And the forceful arrest and persecution of the leaders of the Protests by the Security forces of the government eventually triggered another Protests much bigger than the first ENDSARS Protests.

I saw the back of multitude of Youths marching in a protest procession. Then a voice said 'this one will shut down Nigeria'

Let us even isolate the dream and analyse situations on ground. I personally think, based on the followings, that we cannot afford such protest again.

-1. Corona virus sent our economy to coma. Endsars protest took the remaining life of it and plunged us into the biggest recession since 1987. Definitely, another protest will shut the nation down, economically, morally, politically and otherwise .

-2. Our Police force was badly intimidated during the protest. As a result, Now, okada riders have gotten enough boldness to resist policemen.

Many policemen became victims during the protest. Many police stations were burnt. A report puts the number of police stations burnt at 27. I don't know if that figure is for Lagos, alone. Thus, I don't think Police will be able to handle another protest of that magnitude, if one should happen too soon.

-3. Government and army are already bickering over incidences of the last protest. It is not likely, army will be willing to answer government, should government call on them, in case, there is another big Protests, in the nearest future

-4. Hoodlums have gained access to some guns from the burnt police stations. That will put many lives at risk.

-5. The discovered palliatives have made the masses to see the government as not having their interest at heart. Masses may become adamant in listening to government persuasions.

-6. A new negative trend of massive looting of both public and private properties and businesses have been discovered. Many may just want to capitalise on that to loot.

-7. It may trigger ethnic clashes in few areas.

-8. International community may hijack it for selfish reasons.

In view of these, I think we should still be praying, orientating, negotiating, educating and take all actions that will not plunge the nation into chaos.

I doubt if this world will be liveable in the next 5 years.

This issue of rape, violence, lesbianism, homosexuality and the rest was what destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.
