kiari: It is perfectly normal. That is what folks on NL do, they use DHL to send their passports to Abuja or Lagos VFS. It is not normal. How can you by-pass VAC that has your biometrics information and send it straight to the visa office. The visa office will not attend to it without the biometrics details. The applicant should have asked questions before sending his/her passport to the visa office. |

Please, if I submit my application now, without medicals, will it affect it? The bolded doesnt work anymore. Your application will not be processed under 20days. You can always submit your application and attach the medical slip given to you along with it. Go ahead and submit, it doesnt affect your application in anyway. |

titade0203: Good day gurus in the house,
I need your guidance to take a decision on my intention to study in Canada. I obtained my B.SC in Computer Science in 2015 and i have been working till date. I am looking at a two different study options (Diploma and Masters Courses) and their visa success viability which is , kindly enlighten me on the following concerns:
1. College Course in IT (Sheridan College)- I will have to source for the tuition and there is no option of study loan for this. 2. Masters in Computer Engineering (University of Manitoba)- There is loan option to finance tuition and other expense but the assurance of getting a visa due to how to show convincing strong home ties since international study loan will be involved. 3. I don't have an immediate family member sponsor, i only have someone who bears different name from my surname who has properties and fund to do it. 4. If i want to be self sponsored how much do i need as proof of fund and what are the required documents to use. I am married with two kids.
Your advice will be highly appreciated.
Regards. My question is, what did you graduate with in your BSC. Your chance of getting an admission for masters is dependent on what you graduated with. Masters courses are very much expensive than PGDs therefore if you dont have the funds for a masters please look towards the PGD. 1) I dont think Sheridan has that option. 2) University of Manitoba offer student loans for international students ?? Be sure o. I will recommend you visit Mpower financing if you are looking for student loans but if you get it, you must show your bank statement for living expense and also try paying part of your fees. Nobody here can 100% assure you a visa. What we do here is to give the best advice as it applies per person to increase their chances of visa approval. 100m bank balance does not mean visa is assured. 3) I dont believe this will fly. You are expected to show that your sponsor is related to you with sufficient evidence to back it up. I will advice you tell the person to fund your brother or sister with the amount you need and your sibling sends the money to you. Its easier to explain and proof of relation with sibling can be proven with ease. 4) If you are self-sponsored and going alone, you are expected to show you have money for your 1st year tuition and additional $10,000cad living expenses. if you are going with your family, you are expected to show bank balance covering yourself and additional $5000cad per accompanying dependant. |

RuggedArab: So I got this information below sent to me by one of the schools I applied for admission in BC.
You may want to start gathering documents for your study permit application. We do not provide immigration document supports for new students, but I know Nigeria has a fast track study permit application process that’s not listed on the government website. It’s called NSE (Nigerian Student Express) and you may want to reach out to High Commission of Canada to Nigeria if you would like further information about the requirements. https://www.cicnews.com/2020/03/canada-introduces-program-to-fast-track-study-permit-processing-from-nigeria-0313846.html#gs.v0ty5
- Who have more information about this. - It takes 20 calendar days to get approval for study permit if you meet all the requirements. - There is a stream like this for some selected countries too for study permit It doesnt work anymore. |

Litey8: Your response would be appreciated.
I was wondering….
How does Upfront Medical facilitate one’s application?
I thought a decision could be made without upfront Medical. That is, A refusal without a request for it or a medical request when your application has been approved.
Do they prioritize applications that has upfront Medical?
Or the main reason for the upfront Medical is to reduce time constraints on the side of Applicants Incase there’s a request because of how difficult it is to secure an appointment.
PS: My Timeline States; You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
If I don’t get any message or update after the said processing time.
Logically, I think I can still send emails to inquire about my application.
That’s just my thoughts anyways.
I hope you understand what I mean ? You need to understand that a visa is not guaranteed for anybody even if you did upfront or not. Doing an upfront medicals only helps to hasten the final decision process either negative or positive. A positive decision can not be made on your application if you have not done your medicals hence why medicals are mandatory IF an approval will come. If you choose to do upfront medicals is totally up to you. if you application will be approved, you are usually sent a medical request but if its a denial, you will be denied even if you did upfront or not. |

Cc Lekiboboe Frank & co You can apply but the bad news is that you will pay the total $235cad visa and biometrics fee. kingspecialist: Hello NL, please I need your advice. I applied for a study permit for 1 year program starting in fall 2022.
I submitted my study permit on May 24th using the Gc key/cic (old portal) without attaching my supporting documents. Same day I received Biometrics request which I did on 30th May and updated
On June 2nd, I uploaded my supporting documents using the webform.
On June 13th, I got a mail. That application was refused.
Reasons "Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You have significant family ties in Canada.
My questions: 1. Is it possible I was accessed without the supporting documents just the IME forms I submitted and proof of sponsorship?
2. proof of sponsorship is my uncle and had a balance of 10m. Is 10m not enough after paying 75% tuition accommodation not inclusive. Proof of sponsorship stated that accomodation will be paid on arrival.
3. I don't have any family member in Canada. Any idea why I got "You have significant family ties in Canada" ?
4. I have requested for GCMS and 30 day reply date, should be July 17 but is it not far to reapply since my program starts in September 1.?
5. When reapplying do I use the old portal or the new portal.
Thanks a lot for the quick response. 1) Yes...How many times did you send the supporting docs. Most times, it is advised you send several times to ensure the docs get across. 2) You used an uncle who is regarded as a third party. You failed to demonstrate convincingly your relationship with the sponsor with explanations and evidence(both documented and pictorial), whatsapp chat too etc. That is why you were denied based on finance. Also the sponsor is meant to show true resolve to sponsor you by showing commitment either through issuing a cheque or transferring funds to you. 3) It is possible you failed to show more significant ties to your home country either work, family or assets. 5) Using either old or new doesnt mean the application will be processed faster or it will guarantee you with a positive outcome. |

ShowYoung: 1. His plan may work in the sense that what you think might be regarded as lump sums may not necessarily be if the pattern of such huge amount of money in credit and debit has been occuring for a long time. Also, account balance will show it in a way that irrespective of the lump sums, the account balance growth may not be outrageous— for example, it is natural for account balance to grow from 5 million to 8 million within 4 months if I claim I earn 800k monthly irrespective of hundreds of millions going in and out. On the other hand, it may call for questioning if the #5million account balance surges to 20million within 5 to 6 months.
2. This suggestion may also work but I can sense that the same question of lump sum will still occur as the VO would see the movements of different 10millions. Explanations to this will still be made. I think this option is harder to defend because the wife must show where the deed of gift is coming from: if the wife has had the 10million from accumulated savings, it is fine; but it will be a problem if a lump sum of the same 10 million shows in the wife's account.
3. I would go with item 1 if the conditions I narrated in my answer to item 1 are met.
Additionally, a credit of #10million may not be seen as a lump sum for an account that has been transfering and receiving different batches of 10million since 1 year ago; but may be seen as a lump sum for an account which has never transacted 8 million at once before.
They study pattern of credits and debits in relation to account balance. It all depends on the pattern.
This is my opinion though and may not be correct. Thank you for this... i really appreciate 1) Regardless of the inflows and outflows, i still feel the lump sum is a red flag hence why to explain the source is an issue. However, i feel his idea makes sense if proper documentation(employment) is made available along with the service agreement. 2) Yes, you are right but i am of the opinion its not an issue as long as the funds came from one account to the other, both owned by him while the second transaction was from his wife-A GIFT DEED helps to prove source. 3) Same here.. Thanks alot Chief! |

Good day all...
I want to get you guys opinion on this for a friend...
My friend is a sales supervisor for a company and manages a particular state. Asides his job, he is in a private partnership with a client, in which the customers of this client pays in money (mostly in millions) into my friend's account at different occasions and from there takes his cut from that amount.
He wishes to use this account for his study permit application. He said he will include a service agreement with some of these customers to justify the lump sums. He asked me, i said yes it can work but in the other way round, the visa officer will feel my friend is using customers money to pursue his canada japa plans. So, i advised him since he has a salary account, why dont he transfer 10m from that account to the salary account and his wife transfers 10m from her account to the same salary account and attach a GIFT DEED.
My questions are 1) Is his plan of using the account that receives money from customer a good idea? 2) Is my suggestion as per the bolded okay? 3) If item 1 and 2 aint okay, what recommendation do you guys recommend he employs.
Thank you. |
