eyinjuege: The government should construct the ranches, and charge Miyatti Allah for using them. They are not ready for that and besides why should the government be the one building the ranches? That is how they have used trucks and trailers to take over Lagos roads. nairalaila: The National Secretary, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Mr Saleh Alhassan, has admitted that their group demanded for N100bn from the Federal Government. According to Miyetti Allah, the N100bn they are demanding from FG, is for the construction of ranches and not for amnesty as reported on social media. In an interview with Punch, Mr Saleh Alhassan further revealed that Goodluck Jonathan promised to give them the money upon his reelection, but the initiative was suspended after he lost in 2015.
He said; “That is a mischievous statement. Do they pay money like that? Have they ever paid any money like that? That N100bn has been on the table for mini-ranches since 2014 when (former) President Goodluck Jonathan was trying to address the lingering crisis between farmers and herders. So, part of that money was, I think, used by state governors under the committee chaired by the then Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam. But I don’t think the bulk of the money has reached the pastoralists, the herders.
As part of that policy, they (the Federal Government) are trying to see how they can now assist livestock producers to address farmers/herders conflicts via a policy. So, people now saying they have given Miyetti Allah N100bn to stop kidnappings are just being mischievous because from what we have observed, there are certain people that are twisting narratives.”
https://unclesuru.com/2019/05/17/miyetti-allah-admits-n100bn-demand-from-fg/ Did El-Rufai not confess to paying them to reduce their killings https://www.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/El-Rufai-2012-Tweet.jpgKaduna state Governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has said his government has traced some violent, aggrieved Fulani to their countries and paid them to stop the killings of Southern Kaduna natives and the destruction of their communities saying that the renewed violence is carried out by bandits.
El-Rufai made this known while fielding questions from some select Journalists in his office in Kaduna.
He said: “For southern Kaduna, we didn’t understand what was going on and we decided to set up a committee under Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) to find out what was going on there. What was established was that the root of the problem has a history starting from the 2011 post election violence.
“Fulani herdsmen from across Africa bring their cattle down towards Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria. The moment the rains starts around March, April, they start moving them up to go back to their various communities and countries.
“Unfortunately, it was when they were moving up with their cattle across Southern Kaduna that the elections of 2011 took place and the crisis trapped some of them.
“Some of them were from Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Mali and Senegal. Fulanis are in 14 African countries and they traverse this country with the cattle.“So many of these people were killed, cattle lost and they organised themselves and came back to revenge.
“So a lot of what was happening in Southern Kaduna was actually from outside Nigeria. We got a hint that the late Governor Patrick Yakowa got this information and he sent someone to go round some of these Fulani communities, but of course after he died, the whole thing stopped. That is what we inherited. But the Agwai committee established that.
“We took certain steps. We got a group of people that were going round trying to trace some of these people in Cameroon, Niger republic and so on to tell them that there is a new governor who is Fulani like them and has no problem paying compensations for lives lost and he is begging them to stop killing.“In most of the communities, once that appeal was made to them, they said they have forgiven
.There are one or two that asked for monetary compensation. They said they have forgiven the death of human beings, but want compensation for cattle. We said no problem, and we paid some. As recently as two weeks ago, the team went to Niger republic to attend one Fulani gathering that they hold every year with a message from me.

virgoquin: didn't you read where he said they should wait for him to be sworn in then his wardrobe allowance he will use it to settle them
religious thief Late Audu of Kogi said the same thing. Why are all APC rogues so shameless even their president was boasting of remote control rigging in Osun www.nairaland.com/attachments/3088738_img20151115154440_jpeg8f611b6c9cc8cd0928a56ef1049ea06dChairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kogi State Chapter Alhaji Hadi Ametuo has appealed to Kogi State citizens to elect his party’s gubernatorial candidate Prince Abubakar Audu promising that the N11 billion allegedly embezzled by the former governor while in office will be returned to the state.
Ametuo made the appeal while addressing newsmen after the Eid el-Kabir 2015 prayers. He rated Prince Audu Abubakar’s first term in the office more than the current government of Capt. Idris Wada. He said that Prince Abubakar Audu deserves the votes of the people of Kogi state due to his experience and achievements in his first time at the Lugard House.
While responding to questions from the press men regarding Audu’s N11 billion naira EFCC case, he said
“Nobody is a saint. No governor can claim he has not done any malpractice or stolen anything during his time in the office, we heard of Saraki case, even Tinubu is being accused of stolen funds but the truth is that Prince Abubakar Audu has pledged to return the money to the Kogi treasury when he gets elected on the November 21st, yes he will return the N11 billion naira or even more than that and that will add to the Kogi economy.”
Prince Abubakar Audu is being prosecuted by the EFCC for misappropriating N11 billion of the states’s funds while he was governor between 1999 and 2003.
The EFCC is prosecuting Prince Audu Abubakar and his co-accused for offences bordering on criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds to tune of N10,965,837,040 (Ten billion, Nine hundred and Sixty Five Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty Seven Thousand and Forty Naira) they were arraigned on March 18, 2013 on a 36-count charge.
Asked if he is aware of the sufferings and deaths the stolen funds has brought to the people of Kogi State, he said, they will not have to suffer any more if they elect Audu on November 21, 2015.

Oshiomhole made this statement on Thursday, while welcoming new members to the party, at the APC presidential campaign in Benin.
As he reeled out names of those who have defected from the PDP to the APC, he said: “I am told that there are a lot of very very senior people from PDP who have decided to join forces with President Buhari to take the broom to sweep away PDP and to continue to ensure that APC continues to preside all over Nigeria.
“It includes my own brother, my friend who comes from my own clime, Henry Duke Genebe. He is the former organising secretary of PDP and we also have former vice chairman PDP and leader of Edo North of PDP. We also have my brother Chief Esheshi Godwin. He is also former council chairman and my very dear friend. We have quite a number of other leaders who have come.
“We have quite a number of other leaders who have come… in fact, once you have joined APC, all your sins are forgiven.”

AutoJoshNG: Creek Road was a prime location in Apapa, Lagos.
It was home to many maritime organizations.
That was before Apapa and the surrounding environs became notorious for bad roads, parked trucks, and traffic gridlocks.
Sadly, many of these organizations have relocated from that location.
Creek Road is an arterial road that is used to evacuate cargoes from the Apapa Port Complex.
The activities of cargo truck severely degraded Creek Road.
Thankfully, revival for the road is on its way.
Creek road will benefit from the reconstruction work that was recently approved by the Federal Government.
N72.9billion was approved for the reconstruction of roads from Creek Road-Tincan Island-Beach Land right through to Oworoshoki to the tollgate end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The project is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Dangote Group will fund the reconstruction project with the monies that it would have paid as tax. Who else saw the advert to sell our country to Dangote on OLX What else is remaining for the oligarch to buy except the citizens of the country itself? www.nairaland.com/attachments/3633741_9jaintrouble_jpeg7d204565e27912ea7b3d41c7e31cf768 |

JudgeOGBUNABALI: Good for you. You brought it upon yasef. Did you say that when the Association of Past (and Present) Criminals, APC threatened to form a parallel government in 2015 When Buhari promised to soak dogs and baboons in blood after his almajirs killed several innocent Nigerians in 2011 because we rejected his lifelessness?Or are you a hypocrite? That is a question please! gratiaeo: [/b]he All Progressives Congress, APC has pledged to congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan if he wins next month’s presidential election fair and clean but also vowed to form parallel government if the election is rigged.
The party in a congratulatory message to Nigerians on the occasion of the Yuletude and Eid-el-Maulud celebrations said it was clearly aware of the bleak celebrations occasioned by government corruption that has brought misery to the large majority of the working class.
Telling Nigerians not to despair that hope was near, the party in the statement personally signed by its national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun said: “We are aware that it has been a bleak celebrations for all of us because of the poor performance of the economy, litany of failed promises and general decay in governance in our dear country, including unpaid salaries which is as a result of the drop in the state and local government revenue.
The drop in the state and local government revenue is as a result of corruption in government, The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and oil theft, supervised by government. “We ask all Nigerians to exercise fortitude, because the change we seek is almost here. We wish to also remind you that the change, we expect will be a consequence of your action. That action will be to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the next election to herald the new dawn and bid farewell to the failed leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
We ask you to collectively insist on free, fair and transparent election, because that is the only way to allow the wishes of the people to manifest. “As a party, we assure you that we will congratulate president Goodluck Jonathan and his party, PDP If our presidential candidate and party are defeated in free and fair elections, and we will not go to court.
However, as a party, we wish to reiterate, that we will not hesitate forming a parallel government, if the 2015 election are rigged either by the use of security agencies (police or military) to harass, intimidate and cajole voters or through the use of a compromise Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).”
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/apc-insists-itll-form-parallel-govt-election-rigged/ www.nairaland.com/attachments/2027919_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf1882015 ‘ll Be Bloody If…- Buhari
KADUNA– Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in the 2011 election, General Mohammadu Buhari, rtd, yesterday identified three types of Boko Haram in the country with the Federal Government topping the list, followed by those he described as criminals who steal and kill Nigerians in the name of religion, with the third group as the original one led by late Muhammed Yusufu.
Buhari spoke in Hausa while addressing members of the CPC from Niger State, who paid him a courtesy visit in Kaduna. He also warned that 2015 would be bloody if the elections were not transparent, just as he dismissed reports that he would not contest the 2015 presidency.
Buhari who painted a gory picture of Nigeria as that of a hound and a monkey engaged in a battle for survival said, “God willing, by 2015, something will happen. They either conduct a free and fair election or they go a very disgraceful way.
“If what happened in 2011 (alleged rigging) should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.’’ He did not elaborate further. On alleged existence of three groups of Boko Haram, General Buhari added, “I will like to quote Professor Ango Abdullahi that said there are three Boko Harams including the original one led by Muhammed Yusufu who was killed and his supporters tried to take revenge by attacking the law enforcement agencies and politicians. There is another developed Boko Haram of criminals who steal and kill… while the biggest Boko Haram is the Federal Government.”
He, however, said that he would make up his mind on the presidency when his party re-organises itself.
“That was what I told those who have visited me in the past but the press wrote that I said I have changed my mind about re-contesting. On Boko Haram he said: “Since the leaders now don’t listen to anybody but do whatever they wish, there is nothing the North can do.” FG has destroyed oil industry
Commenting on the petroleum subsidy probe, he said: “The current leadership of the country has destroyed the petroleum industry. These kind of things can only happen under the type of leadership Nigeria has. No where in the world can such things happen and no where in the world can government increase the cost of petroleum products by over 120%. It is most insensitive. Besides the air people breath, the next important thing to them are petroleum products,
“Unfortunately for me, I know more about petroleum industry than others in government because I was there for over three years as a leader. We started with the Port-Harcourt Refinery producing 60,000 barrels per day. It was upgraded to 100,000 barrels per day. Another one was built there (Port-Harcourt) producing over 150,000 barrels making a total of 250,000 barrels per day purely on Nigerian crude.’’
According to him, the Warri and Kaduna refineries, had capacities for refining 100, 000 barrels daily each with over 20 depots and more than 3,200 pipe lines.

MyVc: The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) opens the week tradings' on a bearish note. The All Share-Index (ASI) declined by 1.26% to close at 28,484.44 basis points. Year-to-Date the ASI was down by 9.37%. Buhari was, is and always will be bad news for everything he comes in contact with- economy, insecurity, employment, education etc. What should we say to those who knowingly packaged the shitty lifeless one for us in 2015 after we rejected him three times in 2003, 2007 and 2011 citizenisb: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Muhammadu Buhari may not do well in economy and foreign affairs, except in military matters.
“Buhari is not a very hot person on the economy and foreign affairs,” Obasanjo said.
The former President stated this on Monday at the third International Conference on African Development Issues — themed, “Driving inclusive and sustainable development in Africa: Models, methods and policies” — organised by Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.
While reacting to a question posed to him by a member of the audience: “Is there any hope for Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari?”, Obasanjo replied, “Is there any hope for Nigeria under this administration? I came back from Geneva, Switzerland a few days ago to attend a conference titled, ‘Are elections giving democracy a bad name?’ We had an election, we elected a leader and the good thing about democracy is that the power you have to elect a leader is also the power you have to remove him. I am saying this because I said earlier that if you don’t see any leader that has done well in the 56 years of Nigeria’s independence, then let us forget about Nigeria.
“I will tell you what I know and I will tell you what I don’t know. I know Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. He served under me in the military. His characteristics that I know, his behaviour that I know, he has not deviated from them. He was never a perfect man, he is not a perfect man and no leader can ever be a perfect man because they are human beings. But if you read my book, what I said about him is correct. He is not a hot person when it comes to economy. He is not a very hot person when it comes to foreign affairs. But he will do well in matters of military and he will do well in fighting Boko Haram.”
