FOLYKAZE: Even if the Igbos hate Buhari for no genuine reason, he still love them there. I wish money siphoned here could be channeled to Apapa road. It will be a lot better and appreciated.
Buhari abeg remember us in Apapa and Lag/Ibd express
Why should an intelligent person beg for what he is due for Is Buhari president of only the north or he is president of the entire country? If he is president of the entire country why has he not completed the Lagos/Ibadan express road the way he completed the Abuja and Kaduna railways? Do you know? Buhari is a deceptive snake.
sonature1: It's amazing that this is what has been achieved in 4 years, and someone wants the south east to be dancing Atiliogwu for the man in Aso Rock. Please how long did it take Fashola to build Lekki/Ikoyi link bridge again?
Buhari and his APC crew finished the cemetery for Zik while they finished two railways in the north. Na so the ethnic bigot and Fulani terrorist take manifest his 97% versus %% illiterate mentality.
onatisi: nigeria is just a market for most of these countries , there virtually no country in the world that doesnt make money out of nigeria one way or the other but very few serious industrialist will think of coming to set up production factories here due to many limitating factors . nigeria is the biggest market in africa and the largest black nation in the world and also the 8th largest oil producing nation in the world , if all things are equal , we are not supposed to be looking for investors to come here rather they are the ones who shoould be begging to come .
Nigeria is also the extreme poverty capital of the world with low scores on Human Development Index, HDI. Does that not mean our country is the shittyhole Trump called it filled with fantastically corrupt hypocrites according to David Cameron
onatisi: it is one thing to have the resources to produce and it is another thing to have the capacity to produce things , yes nigeria has abundant natural and human resources to produce virtually anything in this world but as at present we only have limited capacity to produce very little , this is why government need to quickily develop all necessary infrastructures to enable Nigerians have the capacity to produce exportable goods and servoces
How is the government different from the people who own the government itself? Will infrastructure work itself without an educated pool of differently skilled labour force? Is that even possible Is there any developed country that does not guarantee free education and even compulsory for every child?
dollarsplenty: How did he arrive at that? Where I live, the jobs of the cooks are being done by politicians and their families. They give these pupil only rice and beans everyday. These are parts of cows, eggs and other statistics being ditched out by VP. The home grown school feeding program is good program but poorly and corruptly managed.
Pkingman: On her relationship with me at home: She is a perfect partner.. Very friendly and jovial, respects me.. Despite her busy schedule, she still takes out time to keep the home running.. Cooks and does chores, without bothering me to assist.. I hate domestic chores ..we have no maid because she said she doesn't need a maid. My mum and hers take turns to visit and assist.
On Intimacy... Good.. Top notch.. Na she dey rush me sef. We play, pray and laugh.. We even watch football matches together. We both support Arsenal. We hardly quarrel.
On social functions : She isn't the very outgoing type.. More of an indoor person but we attend dew occasions together and she acts just okay... Not cold, not overly excited.. But if we take pictures together, she will never upload that but will rather upload her personal picture.
On gifts : I don't know if it's because she has her own money and can easily afford anything I buy for her.. She has never asked me for anything, even cash I give her because I believe I have to. She only says thank you, no excitement at all. Is this how independent women act? I complained about this to her parents and siblings.. They said that's how she is.. But I don't feel good about this.. It's so not feminine. As if I am not adding anything to her.
On changing my attitude towards her : She doesn't even want me to put her up on social media as well.. So if I stop that, it won't bother her. I can't just start giving her cold attitude at home.. No reason for that. Besides, she may just enjoy the space and shun me.. That will be to my own detriment because she sure knows how to keep to herself and mind her business while I can't .
My concern is that my friends, relatives, colleagues show off their partners and celebrate them online. They take pictures and post.. They use their spouses on their DPs.If I don't do same, won't people think my marriage is having issues? And my wife being the reason for this just doesn't sit well with me. I am uncomfortable about it because normal women don't behave like this. They are proud of being married. They are usually crazy about their husbands and look for every opportunity to show them off, display gifts and all that... How many women will husband buy new car for And they won't show off online, at least on whatsapp? Even though she already has a car she bought before we got married, I thought this will be different, being a new car and a SUV...Haba!
Your problem is simply that you are letting the society define for you what is normal and you want your wife to fit in by force by force. Learn to accept your wife is different and focus on her positives, of which there are so many, so you can enjoy your marriage instead of wanting it to be normal. Save yourself the unnecessary stress. Best.
porka: GDP does not repay government loan, government revenue does.
What is the percentage of debt to revenue?
Good question. Just like assets do not pay off liabilities on their own but the income/profit generated from whatever the assets produce. Education is what creates a skilled population that can work the infrastructure to create government revenue. This administration has done nothing for education making poverty prospects worse into the future.

El Incompetente can not give what he does not have. Did he not say he knows not how to make money? No wonder Dokpesi appropriately called him a parasite who has been living on government since he ran away to join the army without doing his final exams. Truant olodo lazy youth turned lousy elder. Mystick: People like you don't read. Fee dee fee instituted the current pension fund and never touched it, they even prosecuted Maina that looted part of it. Today the same Maina was reinstated and promoted twice by APC and even paid two years salaries and allowances. The pension fund has also been borrowed by this APC current administration. Shikini: The total pension assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme rose to N8.49tn as of the end of November 2018 financial period, latest figures obtained from the National Pension Commission on Tuesday revealed.
The pension commission said 72.5 per cent of the fund had been borrowed by the Federal Government and invested in the FGN securities totalling N6.16tn during the period under review.
The Pension Fund Administrators also invested 6.87 per cent or N584.321bn of the fund in domestic ordinary shares, while 0.71 or N60.529bn of the fund was invested in foreign ordinary shares.
According to the Pension Reform Act, the PFAs manage the funds which are in the custody of the Pension Fund Custodians.
The commission stated that it continued its consultative philosophy in the regulation and supervision of the industry.
According to PenCom, the risk-based examination approach was implemented as a way of promoting transparency and providing early warning signals as well as encouraging pension operators to regularly self-evaluate their positions.
The Acting Director-General, PenCom, Mrs Aisha Dahir-Umar, said in an effort to promote a stable and sustainable pension industry, the commission adopted zero tolerance for non-compliance and consultative supervisory philosophy in the issuance of guidelines and the review of existing ones to further promote sound corporate governance in the industry and ensure the security of the pension assets.
In addition, she said, the commission in 2018, moved to a more risk-based approach to supervising pension operators by aligning its supervisory framework with that of the Financial Services Regulation Coordinating Committee.
“We believe this will promote better risk management in licensed pension operators,” she stated.
She said the commission, last year, released the framework and guidelines for the implementation of the micro pension scheme, which was targeted at increased participation of employees in the informal sector, multi-fund structure and revised guideline for fund accounting as well as revised circular for branch opening and service centre by the PFAs.
“Similarly, circulars on pension enhancement and processing procedures of deceased benefits entitlement were also released by the commission,” she stated.
According to her, the monitoring and reporting of non-compliance with regards to the implementation of these guidelines and other existing regulations remained part of the responsibilities of the compliance officers.
The acting director-general said the commission would continue with its consultative philosophy, transparency and good corporate governance in the implementation of the CPS in Nigeria.

The painment is real for those parents who lost their children to the fatwa your barawo bubu issued to soak dogs and baboons in blood for his 2011 electoral loss. Those bereaved parents are truly wailing you and your All Poverty Congress, APC a river.
October1960: You are correct But this admin. Though has not delivered on their ambitious promises. The stealing we saw under PDP has lessened. GEJ was and remains an idiot or slowpoke that was really clueless and did not care about Nigerians. Some in this admin care but not able to do as needed plus the country is indeed broke after all the stealing and mismanagement since Obasanjo was Military President. Ask yourself why Danjuma has oil wells and other high ranking former leaders? Our problems are many and will take decades to unravel.
You are not clueless. You are super clueless, thinking that you are brilliant.
stellx: “When he was accused of not possessing school certificate or its equivalent, Nigerians fired back that it didn’t matter and that they were satisfied if all he had was a mere Agege bread or NEPA bill tag. “Such was the ululation and sheer passion that when he was pronounced winner, one Nigerian actually walked from Lagos to Abuja in solidarity, while another rode a bicycle from Kaduna to Lagos.
“Unfortunately, all the promises and hopes of a better tomorrow have since become a mirage, reminding one of Julius Caesar’s tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” “He surprisingly exonerated a colourless, rudderless and corruption-laden NNPC that is not accountable to the Nigerian people.
chngebeginwthme: Keep chanting Change the Change on NL and other social media why the real voters that have stake in who win are million in the North that have no single social media account hahha..

cooltola: Restructuring is the answer o, Many Northerners are very comfortable without electricity by default, In fact most Hausa I know rarely watch TV , use battery powered radio and old nokia phone . Electricity is not priority to Nigeria Government, they see it as a luxury
All the northern leaders want restructuring.............when they need to offer the carrot to senseless, divided southerners for their votes.

Obasanjo endorses APC moves, as party leadership visit Abeokuta 22.Dec 2013
The push by the opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC to dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP received a boost yesterday as former President Olusegun Obasanjo openly threw his weight behind the APC’s current initiatives. The APC leadership, comprising some national leaders and governors visited him Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Saturday to solicit the former president’s support for the party in the forthcoming elections. The party leaders, which started converging on Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion around 5:22pm, included former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s Interim National Chairman, Bisi Akande; former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari; former speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Masari; former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff; Senator Osita Isunazor; Senator Bukola Saraki and Lai Mohammed. Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State came to the former president’s house in company with the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissioin, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and others in a convoy of three black jeeps. Other APC governors at the meeting included Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Senator Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo). The Chairman of the New PDP, Kawu Baraje led some of his members and the former Kaduna State Chairman, Yero Makama, to the meeting. Presenting the party chieftains and the APC governors to Obasanjo during the opening of the meeting, Akande said the party was in support of the former president’s 18-page letter to President Goodluck Jonathan. The APC National Leader, Tinubu who alluded to Obasanjo’s contribution to the building of the Nigerian nation, lamented that the country was divided more than ever. Apparently referring to Obasanjo’s recent letter to Jonathan, he enjoined the former president not to shy away from speaking the truth. Tinubu added that the APC had resolved to rescue Nigeria, appealing to Obasanjo to lead the mission. “You’ve come out of tribulation and held the highest position in this country. We are here because of your courage. Nobody can say he has information more than you. You have surmounted a number of crises. Nigeria is divided more than before; to realise stable Nigeria, we want to encourage you to continue to speak the truth. We’re resolved and determined to rescue Nigeria. We want you as navigator,” he said.
Jesusloveyou: he want buhari to also invite him to come and chop
The way barawo bubu invited Sylva to come and chop
sunnyb0b0: Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.
According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.
Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.
Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.
The case was subsequently struck out.
A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.
The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.
Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.
The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.
“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.
At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.
“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.
At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.
TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.
His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.
Thanks to barawo bubu and his 40 thieves cabal. Thanks to the All Poverty Congress, APC Thanks to the zombies who chanted sai chain-ge, chain-ge. Una don see the curse wey una bring unto our land
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Sunday evening boasted that he could provide uninterrupted power supply to Lagos residents between six and eight months.
Fashola spoke at the commissioning of 8.5 megawatts Lekki Independent Power Project (IPP), the fifth of such power projects in the last five years in the state.
The governor said the addition of the Lekki IPP was a testament to the fact that stable power does not require rocket science to achieve in the country.
While challenging power distribution companies in the state, Fashola said, “Let the Eko DISCOs sign a contract with me, giving part of their concessioning to the state government, in about six to eight months, there will be power in all homes in Lagos State,” Fashola said.
He added, “So, let no one say that he has no money to deliver power for the entire country. This is the limit to which the law allows us to do, but we have done this to make a statement that power can be generated. So, when they come with lies that power is impossible, you can tell them that we have power here; we make it possible”.
The project, courtesy of the state government, in partnership with Heritage Bank, is to serve Lagos State Water Corporations in Lekki Phase 1, Oniru, Victoria Island and Ikoyi, as well as over 25km of public lightening in the Lekki axis.
Commissioning the project, Fashola said he felt fulfilled with the conduct of youths that delivered the project, despite the difficulties in getting to the finishing point.
He said it also showed that the money to improve the Nigerian economy is here, “since we don’t need the World Bank to come and do this for us.”
Also, General Manager, Lagos State Electricity Board, Damilola Ogunbiyi, said the state had shown that reliable and sustainable power projects are possible through the youths.
Ogunbiyi said though it had been a successful story, the state was just scratching the surface in its “aggressive development plan” in the area of power.
Promoter of the project, Faruk Agoro noted that the new IPP was an innovative idea of world-class natural gas-fired power generating facility, sold to the government by youths and it was bought into, to support government institutions, especially in the area of water supply and security.
The Lekki IPP is 8.5 megawatts, with the capacity for 30 megawatts.
This brings the Lagos IPPS to a total of 47 megawatts of electricity in total, powering several public institutions around the state.
The generated megawatts is however still a far cry from the over 10, 000 megawatts power deficit in the state.
On his part, the State Commissioner in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Taofeek Tijani, said the new addition was about continuity in public infrastructure programme of the state government
rasputinn: Anonimiiiii You my friend are a sight for sore eyes, wow it's been ages bro. Happy new year to you
Back to the topic, I agree with you about your view of Tinubu and his puppet governors, but I was just being realistic because of some internal "harmonization and healing" PDP has to do in Lagos to deal with the present in house polarization. You know the Modu Sherrif fiasco did more harm than good to the Lagos PDP family, also the preceding conditions that led to the impressive showing of Jimi Agbaje for PDP in the last governorship election are no longer there now,for instance PDP is not in charge at the centre so no direct or indirect financial assistance from there, 90% of the non APC grass roots mobilizers (especially from Amuwo Odofin,Festac, Akuwonjo ,etc )that worked for the success of their members into the LAHA and also rooted for GEJ/Agbaje have been lured into the APC Crowd pullers such as Aeroland have their eyes set on other ambitions outside Lagos. Its not a hopeless situation, but it will not happen automatically. There will have to be massive grass roots mobilization and funds drive and TIME, say two to three years of aggressive mobisation of members and resources as well as sensitization of the populace
Thanks for the summary. The mobilisation and fundraising from everyone at the grassroots level should be on now aggressively for any impact by 2019, which is just one year away.
lazygal: Don't be silly you sound childish...do what you are paid for ,its after all your hustle for survival.. Stay blessed
Stay blessed after you insulted me? You must be joking. What a bloody joker you are. An unserious person who thinks everyone is paid just as she is to support fraudsters, scammers and rogues like Bankole.
lazygal: I see no reasonable person amongst those vying for that sit ....I actually would not have minded dimeji bankole being groomed for that sit
violent: Economic and Financial Commission have finally arrested outgoing Speaker Dimeji Bankole of the house of representatives. An EFCC source told Saharareporters moments ago that the agency operatives moved in today to arrest Mr. Bankole after the agency received intelligence was planning to flee tonight.
For the past one week, the EFCC and Bankole have been engaged in a tense stand off arising from Mr. Bankole's refusal to answer the agency's summons for interrogation.
