If you know how support is very important then why are you not advocating for local, state and federal government officials to employ enough well paid professionals into the civil service to make basic public utilities and services available to all?
Things like law and order, security, clean and clear gutters, pipe borne water supply etc?

Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’

No wonder we have a balablu bulaba propagandist liar as president, who has turned Nigerians into his revenue generating items, to swallow the money instead of employing well paid workers to make government services and utilities available for all.
Why do you think we are quintessential Stockholm Syndrome sufferers?
Burob: Let them just ignore the disgruntled Alhaji Atiku.
Why would the man who resisted northern pressure to make Obasanjo a one term president like Mandela in 2003 be disgruntled? Was that not the year Buhari first asked for the job of president and failed but locked down northern votes nonetheless?
Do you think that he is disgruntled because Obasanjo has been witch-hunting him for standing with the constitution in 2007 against his 3rd term agenda?
aieromon: According to sources available to us that time, Obasanjo said he will do a single term but after that, he decided to go for second term. I was physically present at Rivers state Governor’s Lodge when the heat became too much and Obasanjo in the presence of all of us knelt down in front of Atiku begging him to allow him do a second term. I think that was how Atiku missed the opportunity by agreeing to Obasanjo’s plea. His thought was that at least, if Obasanjo completes his second term, he will hand over to him but you all know the story of Third Term Agenda and that was how they fell apart. Atiku had the best opportunity to become president in 2003 and lost it. He had the support of PDP governors then.
Around November 2002, 15 of the 21 Governors from the PDP including me, had an ad hoc meeting at my lodge in Abuja to decide who should be nominated by the Governors Committee for election by PDP as the presidential nominee for the 2003 Election.
The Governors Committee decided almost unanimously to get a new candidate instead of President Obasanjo as the Committee was of the view that because of his military background, he was intolerant of dissent and had displayed very dictatorial and vindictive tendencies against those he perceived to be independent-minded and disloyal to him.
Immediately after the Governors meeting, I led the delegation of Governors to meet the then PDP Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh, at his residence around 2 am.
As the leader of the delegation, I spoke and communicated the views of the Governors to the Chairman, which was that the Governors had decided not to support President Obasanjo as PDPs nominee for the 2003 General Election.
The party chairman tried to persuade us to review our decision but when he saw our resolve, he told us that he would inform the President. I was later informed by Chief Audu Ogbeh that after we left his house he put an urgent call to the President and informed him of our decision.
What then followed were intense consultations before the PDP annual convention which took place in January 2003. Two days before the party convention, the Governors had a breakfast meeting with President Obasanjo.
I recall that at that meeting, the then Vice President Alhaji Abubakar Atiku told the President in the presence of the Governors that he was known to be very dictatorial, vindictive and unforgiving. The President appealed to the Governors to support him and assured both the Governors and the party leadership that if he was allowed to continue for the second term, he would adopt a more democratic approach.
On the basis of the President's assurance, given at that breakfast meeting, I led the move for the Governors to support his presidential nomination for the second term. However, notwithstanding my support for President Obasanjo's nomination for a second term, the President after the nomination, acted very shabbily towards me.
When I met him soon after the convention, he told me that he had learned that I had put forward the view that he was unsellable, unmarketable and unelectable. He then vowed that he was going to make sure that I was unsellable, unmarketable and unelectable.

According to Adesanya, Atiku met the governors the first day of the convention; they urged him to leave Obasanjo and seek the nomination himself. Atiku demurred; he also deflected the suggestion that he join Ekwueme. Finally, Atiku arranged a meeting between Obasanjo and the now irate governors. The governors railed that Obasanjo was hypocritically pursuing them for corruption, while turning a blind eye to corrupt politicians within his own Administration. Atiku supported the governor's position, telling Obasanjo that significant corruption was not the exclusive ambit of the governors and that serious transgressions occurred in the executive branch: he said it would be unjust to focus exclusively on gubernatorial excesses. Assuming the role of mediator, Atiku then asked both sides to affirm their mutual support and cease the antagonism being fueled by elements that wanted to destroy the PDP. The governors agreed to bury the hatchet, if Obasanjo would shelve the dossiers. Having demonstrated his influence with the governors, Atiku continued to play coy with Obasanjo.
In the end, Atiku extracted an extraordinary concession from the President. Obasanjo agreed to relinquish the entire domestic agenda to Atiku, including the appointment of key economic policy-makers. Since Obasanjo focused on the world arena during his first term and aspired for recognition as an international statesman, Atiku said that is where he would like Obasanjo's attentions to remain. Obasanjo would serve the role of a "super Foreign Minister" and ceremonial Head of State. As Adesanya understood the agreement, Atiku would be allowed to direct domestic economic policy while Obasanjo busied himself with debt relief, NEPAD, conflict resolution and other measures to shore up Nigeria's image abroad.
OBJ camp - visit Wikileaks and type the following in the search bar NIGERIA: DIFFERENT INSIDER VIEWS ON THE PDP CONVENTION
The President was dazed, Abayomi recalled. Jarred by the unexpected possibility of defeat, the usually know-it-all Obasanjo eagerly solicited counsel on how to escape the closing vise. Early that day, the dominant theme was to seek a court injunction postponing the convention. Proponents suggested the delay to afford Obasanjo time to marshal support and undermine Ekwueme's momentum. However, this idea was ultimately discarded, partially because of apprehension over the public's reaction. More importantly, the push for an injunction became less urgent when the President's advisors began to sense their man was regaining ground by the hour.
The President owed much of his recovery to his own tenacity and, at times, shamelessness. He pulled out virtually all the stops to clinch the nomination, according to Abayomi. For most of that day, the President's diet consisted of liberal portions of humble pie. The President pleaded and cajoled; on at least two occasions his eyes welled with emotion as he pursued fence-sitting delegates and governors. However, Obasanjo saved his best to keep Vice President Atiku from defecting.
With rumor swirling that Atiku would opt to run with Ekwueme, Obasanjo wasted no time visiting the Vice President's residence. Obasanjo begged, declaring he would not leave Atiku's home unless the Vice President accompanied him to win back the delegates and governors. The performance had the desired effect. Atiku joined Obasanjo in publicly lobbying the conventioneers. While it might not have been Obasanjo's finest hour it was the defining moment of the convention. What had been a suspenseful contest would now turn into a rout.
Are you saying that because you know what the ologogoro is capable of doing in the lawless banana republic created by APC
iwaeda: Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.
In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.
The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.
Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.
“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”
He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.
“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”
Qwikkie: To be honest, things aren't easy in Nigeria right now. Prices go up almost every week, and by the time you get to the market, you're often shocked that the same amount that used to buy so much last month can now barely buy a fraction of that.
Because of this hardship, one thing many people forget is balanced diet. Balanced diet simply means eating food that contains all the important nutrients your body needs, protein, carbohydrate, fat and oil, vitamins, everything, all in one meal or across your day. But with the way the economy is biting right now, achieving that kind balance don’t become luxury for many homes.
If you can't afford to eat a fully balanced meal every single day, at least try to make sure the little you're eating still has protein in it. Protein is not something you should skip, because it's the one that builds and repairs your body, keeps your muscles strong, and helps your immune system fight sickness. Skipping it for too long is how people start feeling weak, tired, and run down without even knowing why. Below are some food containing protein which you can add to your diet. 1. Beans
This is the real MVP of Nigerian kitchens. Whether it's ewa agoyin, moi moi, akara, or just porridge beans with garri, one cup of cooked beans gives you around 15g of protein. It's filling, it's cheap, and it keeps you strong till your next meal. If you're broke this month, beans should be your best friend. 2. Eggs
Nothing beats an egg for value. A single egg gives you about 6g of protein and it's one of the most "complete" protein sources you can get, meaning it has all the amino acids your body needs. Boil it, fry it, scramble it, put it in your noodles, it doesn't matter. Eggs are cheap, quick, and reliable. 3. Groundnuts (Peanuts)
Don't underestimate this small nut. 100g of groundnuts can give you up to 26g of protein. A handful with garden egg, banana, or just on its own as a snack is enough to hold you down between meals. It's affordable, portable, and you can buy it in any small quantity that fits your pocket. 4. Egusi (Melon Seeds)
Egusi isn't just for making your soup thick and delicious, it's actually a strong protein source too, giving about 24-27g per 100g. Combine it with a little fish or crayfish, and you've got yourself a properly protein-packed soup without spending on meat. 5. Chicken Parts (Wings, Necks, Gizzard)
If you still want that meat feeling without paying premium prices, go for the parts, wings, necks, gizzard. They're way cheaper than a full chicken or chicken breast but still give you that protein and satisfaction. The Bottom Line
You don't have to be rich to eat protein-rich meals in Nigeria. The truth is, most of these foods are already sitting in your kitchen or your local market, you just need to be intentional about including them in what you eat. Mix your beans with a little egg here, add crayfish there, throw in some groundnut as a snack, and gradually, you'll notice you're eating far better than you think, even on a tight budget.
Economy hard, no doubt. But your health shouldn't suffer because of it. Small, smart choices with what's available and affordable can still keep your body strong and well-fed.
Many thanks for sharing this timely advice in this harsh Tinubu times of hyperinflation.
Eggs and chicken parts may not be so cheap o. Moreover, the price of beans will soon go through the roof as many people get empowered to fry akara by sinator Remi Tinubu because her husband is clueless about creating jobs promised.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun made this known at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja. Ofunaofu: Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years
• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio
•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency
A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.
The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings. > > According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.
The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.
The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.
“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.
It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.

The 3rd term that Obasanjo failed to get in 2007 because Atiku chose to be loyal to the constitution, at great risk to his own ambition. What a democrat Atiku is.

What role did Bola Tinubu play in all of these?
At the very beginning, he was part of the Yar’Adua PF group from Jos. He was a senator then, and as far as the group went, we related. The crisis started post-election. When Abacha came, one of the things he wanted to do was to be the administrator for Lagos.
That is Tinubu?
Yes. I am sure you have seen pictures of him and my dad. He was hoping that there would be civilian administrators like we had under IBB but Abacha said no, that he was going to have military administrators. So he (Tinubu) said okay, in that case, can I be a deputy administrator? But Abacha said that there wouldn’t be deputies. Then he wanted the post of a commissioner.
He wanted to be a commissioner?
Yes. Then it was a choice between him and someone very close to Jakande who has passed on now. I can’t remember his name, but because Babagana was already in the government, that guy was picked as commissioner. But really, Senator Tinubu had lost out already.
Was Tinubu very close to MKO?
Yes, he was close enough. He and Adeniyi Adele, a very good guy, were close to my father. In fact, Adeniyi was closer to my father and more dedicated to the process than anyone of them. When my documentary comes out, you will see Tinubu’s take on issues. So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
Why is Keyamo worried about where the votes for Obi and Atiku will come from? He should know better than to ask such a question na.

Nigeria’s ‘Biggest Economic Threat’ Is Unemployment, But Data to Guide Policy Missing for 14 Months
Nigeria’s top economic risk for the 2026 economic year is unemployment but the country has not published any official labour statistics to measure its rate since November 2024, FIJ has found.
On Wednesday, the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report identified lack of economic opportunity and unemployment as Nigeria’s leading threat for the 2026 economic year.
The report also identified inadequate public services, economic downturn, inequality, and crime as the next four threats to economic stability in 2026.
Unemployment is serious enough for international observers but the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has not released Nigeria’s Labour Force statistics, however controversial, since the second quarter of 2024.
SILENCE SINCE METHODOLOGY REDESIGN The NBS has been in the crossfire before for publishing Labour Force Data late in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, the bureau attributed the delay to an overhaul of its survey methodology.
At the time, NBS said it wanted to align Nigeria’s labour statistics with international best practices and ensure data quality and sustainability.
But the resulting data caused chaos. According to the NFLS published at that time (q1, 2024), only about 4.3% of Nigerians were unemployed. The data introduced new types of labour categorisation in the report.
Per the new method, anyone who works even minimal hours in a week is considered “employed”. The reliability of official figures was questioned by labour unions, business groups and even economists.
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), for instance, described the reported employment statistics as unrealistic. Chris Onyeka, the NLC’s National Assistant General Secretary, called the report a “voodoo document” and a “fabrication designed to mislead the public”.
Similarly, Gabriel Idahosa, President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), said, “The technical improvement in the employment rate is more of a way that employment is now calculated; but the reality is that the economy is not looking like an economy where unemployment is significantly reducing.”
Since then, the NBS has not made any attempt to publish labour data.

It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.

If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. “The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

For 27 years, how many teachers have been employed by Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu such that Lagos State has less than 5% public schools ratio despite being governed by progressive politicians who have grown the state budget 100 times to N4.2 trillion?
simpleseyi: . Yes, Tinubu never supported a Southern President, shebi MKO Abiola was from Kano and Olu Falae whom Tinubu supported against Obasanjo is also from Bornu.
When was Abiola president? From what year and month until what year and month?
Did Abiola miss out on being president because of Yoruba betrayers like double agent Tinubu
anonimi: My dad, victim of complex conspiracy – Kola Abiola
So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
simpleseyi: . Yes. There is what we call a gentleman agreement, but Atiku wanted to be President even while Buhari was on his 8th year as President.
If the North doesn’t correct itself because of greediness, Tinubu may just handover to another Yoruba man from Kwara or Kogi state to take the turn of the North Central in 2031.
Tinubu can handover to a name like Gafar Adewale Abdulwahab from Ifelodun in Kwara State or James Omowale Joshua from Kogi state and make Nyezom Wike the wicked one the Vice President. That will be a Christian-Christian ticket which the Christian community will follow blindly while voting in the Muslim core North will be disrupted by government itself.
The President will be governing, Wike will be doing the fighting while Tinubu will be playing the Politics. Na that time people like you go know say craze pass craze.
Why did Obasanjo not respect the gentleman agreement in 2003 when northerners reminded him of his one term promise like Mandela did?
It was Atiku who stood up for Baba Iyabo 23 years ago despite all odds. That was the first time Buhari asked for the job of president and failed.
Next year, northerners would only have been president for 11 years, compared to 17 years for southerners since the return to democracy in 1999!
aieromon: According to sources available to us that time, Obasanjo said he will do a single term but after that, he decided to go for second term.
