Is this why you support an illiterate who ran away from his final exams to join the army As for Sanusi's missing $20 billion, it was part of the scheme to BBOG- Bring Back Our Government (to the north). It was after he was rightly queried over his FRAUDULENT management of our CBN money. He started singing like a canary bird with changing amounts that he claimed was missing- $90 billion, $50 billion, $20 billion etc. Only zombies can believe such a dunderhead, surely.
barcanista: Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.
Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.
Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien. http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=24587
13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words... “Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,” “The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”. http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923
Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.
April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the Emir of Kano raised an issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion. “What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…" Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)
The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013.
The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013.
According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are:
Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system.
Dutchboy: "The real enemy is the man that stole the city hall. The enemy is the Iragbiji upstart who seized the local government Secretariat at Glover street in Ikoyi. Our collective enemy is the greedy man who bought the old Nurses House, the Falomo shopping complex, the Lagos state Polytechnic property at Ojota, the stretches of acres at Lekki, the old Strabag yard at Alausa, the innumerable beach front properties long owned by the people of Lagos state, the billion naira Queen’s Drive mansion, the illegal Lekki Toll Gate, the First Nation Airline, the strings of media conglomerates, the Vault and Garden Cemetery, the vast Estates on the shores of Oniru beach , the endless choice hotels and high-rises, the shopping Mall in Ikeja and Lekki, and many great assets of our people this Iragbiji man has stolen with manic desperation. That is the real enemy we must chase back to Iraghiji.
With all these crazy and bewildering acquisitions , it is obvious that this Iragbiji upstart suffers from a disease called AFFLUENZA. It is an incurable malady which makes the pathetic sufferer to pursue blind, greedy, desperate and infectious craving for acquisition after acquisition. Here , the demented sufferer can never stop the craving for unnecessary endless accumulation of wealth. He does not know what is enough. Here wealth is glorified in place of the Almighty God. This is the dreadful disease Tinubu is suffering from.
Let us remove and dismantle the greedy contraption of Bola Tinubu from Lagos and the whole South West before the madness of the Iragbiji man corrupts the whole nation."
ISTANDWITHBUHAR: Oga that was in 2011 and GEJ used that to cajole workers so as to vote for him, And what happen after that?
You must be talking of the fake promises used by Buhari and the Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC to make their zombies vote for them last year, right
We are rising already na with investors falling over each other to come to Nigeria and invest. That is why our stock exchange is bleeding anyhow.
blueto: CLAIM 3: BUHARI AVOIDED THE TRUTH ON FOREIGN INVESTORS
“President Buhari lied by saying ‘Investors from all over are falling over themselves to come do business in Nigeria’. The reverse is true,” Omokri claimed.
What President Buhari really said: “Investors from all over the world are falling over themselves to come and do business in Nigeria.”
THE TRUTH: TheCable can confirm that Buhari avoided the truth. In Buhari’s first year in office, foreign investment sank to a nine-year low. According to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, portfolio investment (FPI) has crashed by 85.5 percent in the past year.
Osinbajo, who was quoting the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said foreign direct investment also took a plunge of 56 percent of from $395 million in Q1 2015 to $175million by Q1 of 2016.
We can also confirm the exit of major airlines, such as Siberia and United Airlines from the Nigerian airspace, some South African companies have also closed shop in Nigeria.
2dugged: next month, the picture will be clearer, brace up,this December will be the toughest and roughest you have ever seen, don't be surprised if you are robbed of your rice and the chicken you tied at the back of your house is stolen on Christmas eve
Not gonna happen to my food oh. I have a water tight security plan in place for any looter, thief or armed robber.
EkoIle1: The Lagos State Government said it would launch its new clean energy programme, tagged ‘Eko Gas’, aimed at encouraging utilisation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the state.
The Commissioner of Energy and Mineral Resources, Taofeeq Ajibade Tijani, who disclosed this said the programme is expected to convert about one million people to using LPG, otherwise known as cooking gas in the next five years. Ajibade said the scheme would be officially launched by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, who has made commitment to create incentives for prospective consumers of gas.
According to him, “The state is more focused on promoting greater use of cooking gas in Nigeria by focusing on convenience, cost and safety through excellent gas supply services and development of innovative gas products.”
He said that the essence of the project was to ensure that cooking gas was brought to the door step of all residents of Lagos, especially the low income group, at affordable prices. The project tagged ‘Eko Gas’ would be targeted at the low income group that relies on kerosene because of the erroneous impression that LPG is more expensive.
“The Lagos State Government plans to increase the use of cooking gas among a significant proportion of the populace within the next five years,” he said.
On safety concerns that are raised frequently by potential users of cooking gas, Tijani stated that the product was designed and fabricated with distinguishing qualities such as safety, affordability, portability and environmental friendliness. According to him, about 20 per cent of the cost of cylinder would be eased by the government, in other to encourage Lagosians to the use LPG. - See more at: http://leadership.ng/news/100613/lagos-state-launch-eko-gas-initiative#sthash.eIqriQfl.dpuf
ISTANDWITHBUHAR: Under GEJ crude was sold nothing less than $100, But now it's less than $40 per barrel have you ever loot into that?
Was that before 2013 when the 36 states were asking for ECA to be shared due to FALLING oil prices or before 2014 when Barawo Rogue Fashole asked that fuel price should be slashed Why do you Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC supporters like telling LIES just as your leaders looters do? Why
FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct 15 NOVEMBER 2013
Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.
Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."
While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.
He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

itsop: Tunde Alabi, a veteran Nollywood actor has been bedded by a terrible sickness . The actor who is now reportedly fighting for his life at the Lagos General Hospital has called on Nigerians to help him.
Alabi who spoke on his sickness, said
“I went to bed at about 8:30 pm that fateful day with the intention of waking up at 1 am. When it was about 9 pm, I had a strange expulsion on my right leg. “Immediately, the leg started burning and I screamed throughout the night. The following morning I couldn’t move the leg again. It was a spiritual attack. That’s what has kept me under this condition,”
Putting to rest the allegations that he has been battling diabetes for years, the actor said that he only discovered his diabetic state after he was hospitalised.
Meanwhile, Alabi said that the hospital management is yet to come to a conclusion pertaining to the amputation of his leg.
Alabi added,
“I may be evicted from the hospital any moment from now because I have no money to sustain my stay here. I don’twant to die. I am calling on well-meaning Nigerians to come to my rescue.”

The Enabling Act (German: Ermächtigungsgesetz) was a 1933 Weimar Constitution amendment that gave the German Cabinet – in effect, Chancellor Adolf Hitler – the power to enact laws without the involvement of the Reichstag. It passed in both the Reichstag and Reichsrat on 24 March 1933, and was signed by President Paul von Hindenburg later that day. The act stated that it was to last four years unless renewed by the Reichstag, which occurred twice. The Enabling Act gave Hitler plenary powers. It followed on the heels of the Reichstag Fire Decree, which abolished most civil liberties and transferred state powers to the Reich government. The combined effect of the two laws was to transform Hitler's government into a de facto legal dictatorship.
The formal name of the Enabling Act was Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich ("Law to Remedy the Distress of People and Reich". It was enacted by the Reichstag (meeting at the Kroll Opera House), where non-Nazi members were surrounded and threatened by members of SA and SS. The Communists had already been repressed and were not able to vote, and some Social Democrats were kept away as well. In the end, nearly all of those present voted for the act, except for the Social Democrats, who voted against it.
dollydolly: This statement shows that in the very near future, we will no longer be free to express our personal opinion on this platform. Interesting...
In 2010, Ijaws were 10Million, in 2014, they were 14million, in 2016, they are now 15million.
In 2006 census figures
Rivers 5,185,400 Delta 4,098,300 Edo 3,218,332 Bayelsa 1,703,358
Total 14,205,390.
Im to assume everyone in these states are Ijaws. If not, you have to substantiate your claims. Tnx.
Do we have ethnicity on our CENSUS forms? Do we have ethnicity on our birth and DEATH certificate forms? What database in Nigeria contains the statistics on ethnicity? We sha like to DECEIVE ourselves by throwing figures around anyhow.
Cannonleo: (3) even a basic probe is now an impossibility chai what happened to "the recovered loots". It gives credence to the statement made by this same goverment that madam madueke has no credible evidence against her.
The recovered loots have simply disappeared into the SINK-HOLE of the corruption and padding that characterises Buhari's federal administration and the Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC. Instead of relief from the recovered loot, we have racked up N2.2 trillion in debt in such a short period and are still going to BORROW even more money! Anyone who believes that Buhari is fighting any corruption needs to have his brain examined at Yaba left.
fabolouz1: This is not a project to be inspected by a Governor. This is a project that a Local council should embark upon. Unfortunately this is Nigeria.
Many of the things that we praise our governors for are the work and responsibilities of our LGAs as you rightly pointed out.

actoor: It was alleged that Dr Ndidi Okere-onyiuke acting in concert with Lance Musa Elekama, upon a false resolution of the Nigeria Stock Exchange, unlawfully and illegally executed a Deed of Assignment dated 20 May 2007, on Sunday which is non working day by law in favour of Hybrid Properties Limited and Oak Businesses and Finance Company Ltd. by which Nigeria Stock Exchange purportedly transferred its proprietary of the property at 2 Temple Road, Ikoyi to the two companies.
This is terrible from the same woman who DEFRAUDED Nigerians with her fund raiser for Obama's elections.
Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC, over her role in the controversial N100million fundraiser, which she and her group claimed was meant to support the candidacy of Barack Obama, US Democratic presidential hopeful.
Onyiuke was arrested in Abuja today, following a petition written to the EFCC by the authorities of the SEC. She is currently under the custody of the EFCC.
Sylvarresta: Wailer spotted, you never asked GEJ how much he took home annually for heading the gathering of looters
He did not need to ask because Jonathan made his assets declaration public even though he did not make a campaign PROMISE to do so like the pretender we currently have in Aso Rock. Jonathan also provided his personal income TAX returns, which Buhari has NEVER done. Buhari CANNOT match Jonathan on the basis of TRANSPARENCY, which is the cornerstone for fighting CORRUPTION meaningfully in a sustainable manner. Any more questions
edygistvilla: For presiding over the affairs of Nigeria as its president in the last three years, you won’t believe how much President Goodluck Jonathan has pocketed as salary. Vanguard reports that in the last three years President Goodluck Jonathan has pocketed N43.231 million as salary while he had in the last three years, paid N6.264 million as tax to the country. The years which the president earned the salary and paid the tax, according to document from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, he released to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, were 2011, 2012 and 2013. Vanguard also made it known that the document which was placed at the INEC office at Area 10, Abuja, showed that the president, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, received the said amount. The document showed that the president’s salary stands at N14,410,290.48 per annum. The president also paid a total of N6,264,221.75 as tax in the years under review. The income tax clearance certificate from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abuja, with Ref. No: ABJ/MDA/PAYE/09690150 and dated July 2, 2014, revealed that in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013, he received a total of N43,230,871.44 as salary. While he paid N1,242,670.21 as tax in 2011,
President Jonathan paid N2,510,775.77 for 2012 and for 2013. The document tagged:“To whom it may concern”, indicated that the president’s source of income was “employment”. The clearance which was stamped and received in the Legal Services Department of INEC on December 18 2014 reads: This is to certify that Dr. Jonathan, Ebele Goodluck (Presidency) has paid income tax assessment for the past three years. The details of the president’s tax payment also showed that the president did not earn any other income besides his fixed income as president of the country in that period. There were no indications of income from stocks or other businesses that the president could have had. Meanwhile, the Code of Conduct Bureau has cleared Vice President Namadi Sambo to contest the 2015 general elections.
PhockPhockMan: But Buhari, in the document titled, ‘I pledge to Nigeria’ had also said that all his political appointees would only earn salaries and allowances as prescribed by the Revenue and Mobilisation and Fiscal Allocation Commission.
He said, “I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liabilities, encourage all my appointees publicly declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment. All political appointees will only earn the salaries and allowances determined by the RMFAC. I pledge, as Commander-in-Chief, to lead from the front and not behind in the comfort and security of Aso Rock, to boost the morale of fighting forces and the generality of all Nigerians.”
