C'mon. APC was never a family.
ACN was, but not a APC.

ACN was a party of progressives with absolutely nothing in common with the other party of neo-feudalists that it merged with.

The chickens are simply coming home to roost.
Do you mind explaining to us how the Association of Conmen in Nigeria, ACN is a progressive party?
What has been there achievements and policies in 17 years of continuous administration of Lagos state to warrant such a label?

Progressivism

Progressivism is a philosophy based on the idea of progress, which asserts that advancement in science, technology, economic development, and social organization are vital to improve the human condition. Progressivism became highly significant during the Age of Enlightenment in Europe, out of the belief that Europe was demonstrating that societies could progress in civility from barbaric conditions to civilization through strengthening the basis of empirical knowledge as the foundation of society.[1] Figures of the Enlightenment believed that progress had universal application to all societies and that these ideas would spread across the world from Europe.[1] Sociologist Robert Nisbet defines five "crucial premises" of the Idea of Progress as being: value of the past; nobility of Western civilization; worth of economic/technological growth; scientific/scholarly knowledge obtained through reason over faith; the intrinsic importance and worth of life on Earth.[2] The term is often used as shorthand for a more or less left-wing way of looking at the world. Beyond this, the meanings of progressivism have varied over time and from different perspectives.[3]
The contemporary common political conception of progressivism in the culture of the Western world emerged from the vast social changes brought about by industrialization in the Western world in the late 19th century, particularly out of the view that progress was being stifled by vast economic inequality between the rich and the poor; minimally regulated laissez-faire capitalism with monopolistic corporations; and intense and often violent conflict between workers and capitalists, thus claiming that measures were needed to address these problems.[4]

Nice piece by the editor. Am a stunch supporter of APC but i won't deny that PMB was never going to be the leader of the party because he was negotiated to be installed as flagbearer of the party, that said the crack in the party is likely to degenerate if the national leadership don't come together to rescue her party from the unseen hands of hijackers.

It is not Buhari's fault but that of the APC. They leveraged on him far too much while at the same time eroding the institutions that should ordinarily be shieldijg him right now from the extremities of the harsh situation we face. I said it then and I'm saying again, Nigerians must learn to build institutions and not try to make men institutions.

As mad as the senior minister Audu Ogbeh who is going to import grass from Brazil for their grazing reserves.
Yet they will tell their zombies there is no money, there is recession, Jonathan finished all the money, they have to borrow although they have recovered trillions and trillions.
Anyway Ogbeh has to recover the N5 billion he contributed to DullardPoo's campain.

Ogbe leads N5bn yam sales for Buhari

JANUARY 1, 2015 BY NAN
39 Comments
A former Peoples Democratic Party National Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbe, will on January 4 inaugurate the sale of five million tubers of yam donated by farmers to raise N5bn for All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, and his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

The Public Relations Officer of the APC Micro Finance Cooperative Society Ltd, Mrs Felicia Yakzum, said in a statement on Thursday in Jos that the sales would commence at Mararaban Demshin in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.

She said an APC-organised New Year wrestling tournament and the ‘Job Opportunities for Osinbajo and Buhari Supporters’  would also be inaugurated.

Yakzum said Ogbe was behind the yam initiative and had been appointed chairman for the sales.

The spokesperson said JOOBS on the other hand, would create opportunities for the unemployed youths nationwide to be engaged meaningfully to enhance their lives.

Yakzum said, “We have constituted a committee charged with the responsibility of creating job opportunities for youth supporters of the Muhammadu Buhari/ Prof Yemi Osinbajo ticket.”

She said those targeted were secondary school leavers, retrenched workers, pensioners, physically challenged persons, and the internally displaced with valid voter card.

Outliers[edit]
Main article: Outliers (book)

Gladwell's third book, Outliers, published in 2008, examines how a person's environment, in conjunction with personal drive and motivation, affects his or her possibility and opportunity for success. Gladwell's original question revolved around lawyers: "We take it for granted that there's this guy in New York who's the corporate lawyer, right? I just was curious: Why is it all the same guy?", in reference to the comparable family histories of many early corporate lawyers.[clarification needed] In another example given in the book, Gladwell noticed that people ascribe Bill Gates's success to being "really smart" or "really ambitious". He noted that he knew a lot of people who are really smart and really ambitious, but not worth 60 billion dollars. "It struck me that our understanding of success was really crude — and there was an opportunity to dig down and come up with a better set of explanations."

to fulfill this you need ppl of like minds, passion and zeal. Ppl that cant be bought with 100million naira, above all u need a populace that are ready to change their way of thinking from rice rice fufu fufu politics to purposeful and progressive ones, the politicians know that majority of Nigeria activists can be bought with cars and a few million bucks and that majority of voters will sell 4 years for just 1000 that is why they aren't bothered about performing
That is why we should constantly work on ENLIGHTENING our folks and friends far & near until the ripple effect of our own understanding spreads far enough to make the progress we all desire, not so?
It may not be easy!
It may be very difficult!!
It may take a lot of sacrifice of time and thought process trying to explain to people in ways they can understand!!!
However, it is possible and the rewards very great.

He said he is lazy, let me explain that to you by using this simple scenario. One person sleeps a lot at the end makes 9 A's in WAEC while the other reads 24/7/365 makes 4 A's and 4 C's, 1D. Second example a University Professor of Economics to knows finance in and out but still broke even though he invested a lot by trading stocks all night and a school drop up that worth millions. Its simple find your purpose in life put hard work or what ever you call it equals success. The dude was just telling you that he was destined to be rich and figured out how to do with it with less effort. We struggle a lot in life because we are doing the wrong thing just a man marrying the wrong wife, that's a life misery because he is not married to he's own wife.
Since I perceive that you are being simply religious with all this destiny/purpose talk, let me ask you if God is no longer omniscience and omnipotent?
Because it is only when you admit that He is not that it makes sense for people to miss their purpose, not so huh

BTW, thanks for agreeing that he LIED and was just bragging emptily as per the bolded parts of your post above.

The new orientation you are talking about will take another generation to fulfill, the leaders of tomorrow are they not the ones shouting sai Baba ? That was why i said until ppl start thinking and asking their leaders probing and intelligent questions Nigeria will never get it right. Why should a presidential candidate refuse to outline and defend his plans for the nation in a debate and yet ppl feel he has anything upstairs? Why should a candidate spend over 2billion on party nomination alone and ppl believe that wont be his first priority? Most of us that supported gej then did it not because he is the best person but compared to buhari he is far far better,if there was another candidate then from another strong national party ,most likely neither pdp or apc would have won.
I hope that you know we are largely on the same page generally about all this.
However, I am only emphasising the need for greater speed for all of us to get more involved now so we don't have to wait for another generation before we start thinking and asking our public servants probing and intelligent questions."
