Someone should ask Baba go slow if Fulani herdsmen killings is acceptable since he has refused to make a statement on it.
Yes, Fulani killing others is acceptable to the current president of our country.
What is not acceptable to him is the RETALIATORY killing of Fulani by their hosts and VICTIMS as he showed to Lam Adesina a few years ago.

Wait till another election year and stop all these childish behavior, making everything about political parties and whatnot. The Senate gragra on this budget and after every thing, all the major issues and indices are intact. Even the unserious 7th Assembly usually made main changes in the budget like oil benchmarks, increasing budget allocation, etc. These ones just wasted everybody time. Simples.
The 7th Assembly had majority PDP while this 8th Assembly has majority APC, right huh

coolitempa:
One of the reasons President Buhari was voted in as President in a landslide victory was to uphold law and order which had fallen to a large degree due to the incompetence of the previous government. It therefore follows that this government cannot be allowed to undermine its popular mandate by neglecting this major factor.

The recent agitations by the lunatic online Republic of Biafra for a separate state must therefore tow the line of law and order. Sporadic protests which are unauthorised must be put down by our able security operatives and Nnamdi Kanu is lucky he has not been subjected to an accidental discharge. His supporters must be rounded up for disturbing public peace, propagating violence and treasonable offences. They should be tried according to our legal system and punishment adequately handed out ....some of these offences deserve the death sentence.
The president must be made to realise that it was the inaction of the previous government that led to Boko Haram today growing into the monster it has become.

A stitch in time as they say saves nine. Kanu must face the death penalty for crimes against the state otherwise....Nigeria becomes a joke and others will take advantage.
Could you please share references from our laws and constitution that prescribes "accidental discharge" for people that are INNOCENT until proven guily?
Thanks.
Even the worst brainless zombie should not say what you just said. Is that what you are huh

Mynd44:
I am not sure about rice but as a result of tax and the butchers' associations, they have a rough estimate of how many individual animal is slaughtered each day, week, month and year.

So it is not so difficult to have a correct numver of the number of animals sold each day excluding the animals bought from individuals from outside the state and killed at home i.e. Someone going to Ibadan to buy animals for a wedding or naming ceremony can't be calculated but those killed and sold (in the abbatior are recorded) since taxes/levies are paid on each
You have provided a PLAUSIBLE explanation on how the NUMBERS of slaughtered animals can be arrived at.
Even if we assume that the tax collectors are honest, not corrupt and provide accurate DATA it does not explain the VALUE of the animals, does it huh
In short Ambode has at best made an ESTIMATE that cannot be relied upon for making any INFORMED decision!
He and other 35 state governors and 774 LGAs need to EMPLOY people to generate information that is reliable for planning etc.
By providing what is obviously FALSE information, the governor is CORRUPTING the minds of the people he swore to govern appropriately.

International Drivers License/Permit

It’s definitely an option to get an international drivers license before you enter the US. Most cities in the US don’t have good public transportation and you may need to borrow, rent or buy a car in other to move from one point to another. But this is only a temporary solution for the first few months. After that you will still have to get a US drivers license. The police might start to give you a hard time about it especially if you get stopped for a traffic offence.
I believe you can use your Nigerian driving licence if you are just visiting.

Kongonya:
Falling foreign reserves ‘not Jonathan’s fault’

https://www.eurweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Goodluck_jonathan3.jpeg

The nation’s falling foreign reserves is not the fault of President Goodluck Jonathan, the Society for One Nigeria, an Abuja-based group, said on Tuesday.

The group, which rose in defence of Jonathan over the accusation of Olusegun Obasanjo, former president, that the present government had depleted the foreign reserves by $25 billion, argued that the ex-president’s administration was just lucky, as it did not experience a plummeting of oil price leading to its ability to increase the foreign reserves to about $43.17 billion in 2007.

It said instead of constant criticisms, the Jonathan administration should be commended for keeping the foreign reserves at $34.4 billion against the backdrop of falling oil price, oil bunkering and sabotage of oil facilities.

The group also argued that the fall in the nation’s foreign reserves and the depreciation of the naira were both related to exogenous global factors, which are not under the control of anyone.

The group reasoned that while Obasanjo boasted that he left $43.17billion in the reserves, he failed to mention that his ability to do so was simply due to rising oil prices during his tenure.

“As of May 1999 when Obasanjo became president, oil price was $14.74 per barrel. By May 2007 when he left office, oil price was $68.75 per barrel, representing an increase of more than 350 percent,” it said in a statement issued by Abubakar Danladi, its spokesman.

“This increase in oil prices enabled the Obasanjo administration to increase our foreign reserves to about $43.17 billion in 2007. In contrast, President Jonathan assumed office in May 2011 when oil prices were $117.18 with foreign reserves at $32.1 billion.

“Since mid-2014, global oil prices have been falling precipitously from a peak of $116 per barrel in January 2014 to about $58 per barrel in January 2015. Despite this significant fall in global prices coupled with rising incidence of oil bunkering and sabotage of oil facilities, the country has managed to maintain $34.4 billion in foreign reserves, a level that is higher than the $32.1 billion which President Jonathan met when he assumed office.”

The organisation further argued that Nigeria was undergoing significant pressures from spillovers resulting from three factors that no single country has control over.

It listed the factors as end of quantitative easing by the United States Federal Reserve, which implied that the monthly injection of about $85 billion into the global economy suddenly ended; the sustained fall in oil prices from a peak of $116 per barrel in January 2014 to about $58 per barrel in January 2015; and subsisting sanctions against Russia for its alleged role in the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

It argued that given Nigeria’s interconnectedness with the global economy and its dependence on crude oil proceeds, the economy had been affected like other economies.

The civil society group listed some emerging market countries that had experienced a drop in their foreign reserves as a result of the drop in global oil price to include Chile, Czech Republic, Egypt, Ghana, Hungary, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco and Russia.

It added that while some countries like Russia had depleted their reserves by nearly $75 billion in 2014, Nigeria lost only $9.2 billion in reserves from the reduction in the price of crude oil.

It concluded that although the average depreciation in exchange rate for the countries under consideration was about 11 percent, Nigeria’s exchange rate depreciated by eight percent.

Since you are so fond of proving things, you should try to prove that one contributes and adds VALUE to the society more than the other, on average. That would be interesting, innit huh
Please go and find out what PAPER certificate Bill Gates has from which polytechnic or university also.
I hope you do not need PROOFS of what Bill Gates has contributed to our society at large and the VALUE he has added.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has again filed fresh corruption charges against former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, before a the Federal High Court, Abuja.EFCC’s Head, Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement that the fresh 50 counts of corruption were filed on Friday. This came two days after Justice Ahmed Mohammed dismissed the one of two fraud cases instituted by the anti-graft agency against Sylva.
Justice Mohammed had held that the case constituted an abuse of court process.Earlier on June 1, 2015, Justice Evoh Chukwu (also of the Federal High Court, Abuja, struck out the other case against Sylva following EFCC’s application for the withdrawal of the case.‎

They are accused of using three companies – Marlin Maritime Limited, Eat Catering Services Limited, and Haloween-Blue Construction and Logistics Limitd – to move about N19.2bn from Bayelsa State coffers between 2009 and 2012, under false pretences of using the withdrawn money to augment salaries of the state government workers.
