I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Went for a malaria test yesterday and it was positive. Was given amodiaquine because of its safety profile in pregnancy. I however have a challenge, I've been up since 4am itching all over despite the fact that I used piriton. I'm not sure I can continue my dose cos of this itch. Please help with what I can do.

Sorry mama.....how did you use the piriton? Because the pharmacist told be to use piriton 30mins or 1hr before using chloroquine?

Hmmm. Finally out of ghost mode. Followed this thread in my first pregnancy though it resulted to still birth, the second to miscarriage. This the third and I know the God I'm serving will not allow me cry anymore. I'm on my knees begging mamas to pls monitor me like a new baby so I can carry to term. My Dr gave only antibiotics and routine drugs. Can I take any other medications?

I followed this thread in my first pregnancy (sept 2015), second ( sept 2017) and this time around I refuse to be a peeping tom o. So here I am, December 2019 mama reporting on duty. I have benefited from experienced mamas here so I guess I should let someone else benefit from my experiences too. God bless and keep us and our babies safe.

After this follicular tracking am not going to hospital again. One of our company supplier that has delayed for 23yrs directed me to hospital where God answered his prayer i went there and Doctor checked all my result but he was mad with me when he saw result of hsg after have done Laparoscopic. he said hsg is wasting of money cos lapa. is more advance than it and he told me my tube is not blocked that if it blocked Lapa should be the first to see it. but another issue is Dermord cysts and fibroid though he is not particular about fibroid but except cysts so he want me to complete follicular tracking before he discuss on how to do surgery for cyst. Please has anyone experience cyst? how did you treat it? surgery is almost 200k and if they sell me and my hubby we no reach 50k,kindly advise how to overcome this am totaly fedup right now.From one story to another na only me waka come?

Thanks so much mama... Later went to see a doc today. He administered some drugs for me.
But you know our naija docs some can't be trusted. He knows am still in my first trimester and he administered diclofenac and ACT for me. Thank God I learn a lot from here. I didn't buy d drugs in the hospital, I went to a big pharmacy, where I was told some of the things he prescribed were not safe in first trimester.

But let me reconfirm from sabi mamas here is maxiquine +piriton and amoxyl safe in first trimester. Abeg mamas don't overlook

Good evening mamas, was feeling sick(malaria symptoms) yesterday, so I decided to go to the nearest maternity clinic close to my place. Saw the doc(gyn) and he asked when was my lmp I told him and the next thing he wrote in my file was anorexia. I told him am pregnant not dt am anorexic, this man no even ans me. Sabi mamas na so dem dey write am?

Paludrine is safe but you have to take it daily with folic acid. Quinine too.. I will advice you take paracetamol then see an obstetric doctor.

How are you sure you are having malaria? Sometimes morning sickness mimics the symptoms of malaria. You would have to run a MP test first to be sure if it's actually malaria. Pele we all went through it.

Thanks mama.... I thought it was MS too. But it feels different ma. My bones ache, severe headache above all I used to be constipated but have been purging since morning.

Good morning mamas, will I be registered for antenatal at 11weeks 2days? Was waiting to be 12/13weeks before registering but I kind of feel malaria.

But I tend to abuse n over dose
If u can ask your doctor

Mama pls how does heartburn feel like? Still in my first trimester but have been having this peppery stuff in my chest. Like something is stuck there and wont just go down.
