so sorry for what you are going thru, this is my own input, u guys have been married less than 2 years, the first few years are most time tough as you have to understand each other. He seems to be insecure and probably finds you intimidating as you are intelligent, ambitious, go getter…. But you have to remember he is the head of the house, you have to respect him and treat him like a “king”. Ok I know it sounds silly and the marriage has come to how it is but things can still change for the better…, if after you have made a lot of effort in treating him as a good wife would and he still acts like a jerk then sorry to say you have to walk away , but this is after there is no hope but I believe there is when you pray hard. I might be stating the obvious here but try and be a lovely wifey, and do the normal stuff… entice him with food… be loving, try and establish a friendship again. Try and have fun, be friends again like the good old times. Look good, keep the house neat etc make him feel welcome from work etc. you may have tried all these things but please keep on keeping on. Most of all respect him, elevate him…. You can be a very successful woman with authority, power at work or business but at home, you are the wife and let him see that. You may be more mature and smarter than him but still let him be the man in the house. When things change for the better, he will even seek your input on important things as he knows you are smart. In regards to him cheating, whao, this is another big one. Have a nice chat with him, tell him you r willing to forgive him and you want to start over. The STD issue is deep. I am so sorry you have to go thru this… I pray that he will come to his senses and realize he is destroying his own home and risking his family’s health with his childish behaviour. Please protect yourself and go for tests… Trust is another issue, he says you don’t trust him. Well I don’t blame you when the trust issues is in relation to his flings. Trust in relation to his judgements is another thing. He may feel “stupid” having you as a wife, but again you have to elevate him and make him feel good…. You guys dated 4 years which is a long time. I believe you know each other to an extent… personality wise, he knew the type of lady you were and most have liked your qualities, the issue now could be that he doesn’t feel he is the head of the home. Hence, him stating you don’t respect him…. And now he is getting that confirmation from his family who don’t really know you…. To be honest he needs to grow up and he shouldn’t involve his family in his affairs. You can’t do much about it. It is normally the woman that does the hardwork in keeping her home by the Grace of God, I just hope and pray that he changes and your efforts won’t be in vain. I know pple have advised you leave but please don’t throw in the towel yet. When it is time to go nobody will tell you, you will leave, you r a strong woman. I know you still want things to work out and I hope it does. Wish you the best. |
thanks sam u will be contacted shortly. design 5 thanks for the input, |

beans, beans, and more beans! during my development years, i had beans everyday! I am 5feet 11 and a half, my brothers are both 6ft 2 and above, we all ate everyday. my sister hated it and never really ate much, she is the odd one out at 5ft 6, i think beans had a lot to do with it, |
am kinda in the same boat, trying to lose weight, just had gave birth 4months back. i still have 7kg to lose to get back to size 10 - 12. although i look ok as i am 5'11.5 and weigh 77 kg but i cant fit into most of my cloths! i have lost 15kg so far. Tips: I always have breakfast, wholemeal - brown bread with egg, stew, or cereal, ( skimmed milk) have fruits mostly carrot and banana, not a big fan of oranges and co as they have natural sugar which i noticed is not to good for me, i.e sugar, then a main meal before 6pm, i try to have brown rice - smaller portion, i also take green tea 2-3 times a day, and i try to go to the gym, its a struggle so say twice a week and each visit i try to lose 300-400 calories - not much but better than nothing. I bought a skipping rope and was doing 1000 skips a day 500 in the morning and 500 at night but i kind got fed up, i still try and skip but it is no longer consistent. biscuits, youghurts and chocloates are a no no, gush i miss them ( i did take low calorie biscuits for about 2 weeks but i gained weight during this time, i guess i took too much cuz i always comforted myself saying they were low in fat! men!!! i never use to worry about my weight, i was what they call lepa lol and i ate anything i wanted but now i have to count calories and stuff! Thanks God for the babies though!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hey nairalanders, Just got a quote for casting second level decking in lekki area for a 6 flat, Any ideas what workmanship should costs? Thanks. |
Jarus is absolutely right, well i didn't do ican, i did acca. it is all about knowing the principles, correct application of it, this can be covered going through lots of past questions and looking at the suggested solutions. i always preach this to fellow colleagues who struggled with acca, i spend at least 8hours in the library a day, do past question under "exam conditions", and award myself marks - not generously! then go to the areas i didnt do well in and read it up. all is well, work hard and you will surely get there. |
@markos, indeed it was paradise on earth, stunning! i did a few water activities, jet skiing, parasailing etc. will like to go back at some point again! very nice pictures, looks like you have been abroad on most of your projects and you really enjoy it, on a project i had to travel to paris and men i didnt really like after working hours, been in a hotel all by myself watching french channels! thank God for BBC and CNN!, went with a few indian colleagues, but kept to myself after work and dinner. I guess with you guys it is different. |

@ajileko et al, any idea where i can get cheap sharp sand around the lekki region, we have spent close to 1m filling compound, trying to sort access to road etc and it is not close to being finished! sharp sand is costing us a fortune, we r not in the region so not sure if there are constructions work going on but i believe construction work should be going on around the area where we can get them at a very reduced rate! Any ideas, or quotes for sharp sand will be welcome thanks |
