Go ahead and use it...provide a one year bank statement....and payslips....As long as u have the required sum for a year...and there is evidence of how u came about the sum....U r safe. What they check is the fact that the money is available when u get to Finland....

Please be careful ohhh....u r not supposed to get travel insurance ohhh....it's medical insurance
travel insurance insures Ur property from any theft....or u in a situation there is an accident during Ur travelling or u r repatriated.
medical insurance covers u on all heath related accidents during Ur stay in a foreign land...please tell them health insurance...

I have University of Alberta in mind, but I could fall back to any good University.
Secondly someone Said that I must do a premasters before I start the normal program,even when I have a CGPA of 4.1
Thirdly I want to know if I must take an English exam before being considered for admission or Visa.

a 4.1 gpa....u r well due to be admitted straight for a master's degree and if u go the thesis route and find a supervisor...there is a high probability u might even get funding...
Most Canadian universities waive English test for Nigerian students...however it is advisable to mail the schools u r interested in to get relevant information

I have it man..I don't want to waste another 30k on health insurance. that's why am waiting for my passport to be out from canada embassy..or I don't need the health insurance until am at the embassy? that's a month from now

When u purshase the health insurance there is a start date...put that date close to when u wish to arrive Finland...it's valid for a whole year

Truth is u might not get an appointment with the Finnish embassy until the next four weeks...and I'm quite sure by then..u should have gotten Ur passport back....so book Ur appointment and apply online for the Finnish visa...in about four to five weeks when u need to go to Finnish embassy..u should have Ur passport with u....delaying based on the passport thing isn't ideal ohhh

19 mb..?....u can only upload a maximum of 4 mb....so u need to shrink the size of Ur docs....there r online tools that could aid do that...try smallpdf.com

Like someone pointed out earlier...8 weeks has been the average time so far...we have even withnessed certain peeps get medical calls in 4 to 6 weeks just recently....

From what Iv learnt from the gurus on this thread...the following may stand
...documentation of future employment
...a document stating u r going on study leave and Ur job will still be there when u return.
...landed properties
...a registered business
...an affidavit stating that u r a significant and functional member of a body or relevant association in Nigeria.
...documentation showing u have aged parents u r required to come home to cater for at the end of Ur study
....a well written sop detaialing future plans on after completion of Ur studies..(this one could be tricky)


These r the little I know..the gurus in the house will further answer u appropriately

Anthochie, If u r waiting for ur MUN letter to arrive by post, u r on a looooong thing. They sent me the soft copy since Dec 1st, 2014...till date I neva see d one from post...same for a friend who left for MUN last year...I got my TRV with the soft copy though...

Lol..thanks for the cue..but I dnt live in Nigeria...the conditional letter and all others from several schools did get to me in record time..thanks for the concern though..really appriciate how all u guys look out for everyone...that said ..I'm still hussling docs...to get document from naija to me ehhnn na war..all my sponsors with the I'm busy story..but e don dey set sha..hopefully by next week Monday I will apply..I also want to do the upfront medical thing....cheers men...

yes I have...I'm going for the fall (september) semester. I'm waiting for my unconditional letter to arrive via post. It was sent last week.

I'd love to help but I dnt think this is the right thread for this...go to the travelling to Finland thread...and Ull get loads of information..I'll also answer questions within my ability as regards Finnish admission there...though I believe most schools in Finland have concluded admission processes.

Thank God I applied to MUN and some schools in Finland...na now I know the meaning of "dnt put all Ur eggs into one basket".

I appreciate guys respond to application made with HND certificate.please i want to start applying but i want to lay my hands on multiple college/universities to increase my chances.i have been to several school website where they demand application/processing fee.

Do i have to pay processing fee/application for all the school i applied for or please how do i go about filing multiple application.your respond will be highly appreciated.

Why dnt u research schools u'd like to attend....see what they have to offer and see if u meet their requirements...mail or call them if u have to, to further validate if u stand a chance..I know Canada doesn't have weak schools but some schools are more competitive than others....pick two less competive schools and any other two of Ur choice and apply...Ull need to pay processing fee for each application...so u should also consider that.....then put faith and positive thinking to it and Ull do just fine....

Lol..I don disturb them die..they keep asking that I be patient...I'll just use the MUN letter to apply for TRV...I had my mind set on Regina..but MUN is pretty cheap...one year Regina fee cover two year fee for MUN And with this Regina slow motion...my mind don dey change...

it seems Regina is quite slow with the admission process....while I'm completely done with MUN..theyv even sent my unconditional letter of acceptance....Regina never even shake body.
anyways...are there part time jobs there...I guess iv asked this question before...but didn't get comprehensive answers as no one knew much about the place...
