Just wondering if this sudden ASUU strike will affect the ongoing POP exam.
NOUN AS A DISTINCT AND DYNAMIC PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION DOESN'T GET AFFECTED BY STRIKE OR MASS ACTION, ITS A SEPARATE BODY THAT ACTS INDEPENDENTLY SO DEBUNK ANY RUMOUR SAYING NOUN MANAGEMENT WOULD JOIN THE PROPOSED STRIKE AND FACE YOUR EXAMS.

POP EXAM MORALS BY DOUBLECHIEF - SIMPLE MISTAKES TO BE AVOIDED
MANY WOULD NOT READ THIS, THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM

1) GET ALL YOUR MATERIALS READY. A 3500 NAIRA STANDARD SOLAR CALCULATOR IS NOT EXPENSIVE BECAUSE YOU CANT KNOW WHAT YOUR FUTURE HOLDS, PREPARE FOR IT MORE THAN IT MAY NEED. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU SPEND ON HAIR JUST TO LOOK GOOD. IF THE WORSE COME TO THE WORSE, BUY THE STUDENT CALCULATOR FOR 1300 NAIRA.

2) HOW TO AVOID MISSING SCRIPT

SOMETIMES MISSING SCRIPT MAY BE AS A RESULT OF RECKLESS ABANDON BY THE MANAGEMENT OF A PARTICULAR CENTRE, BUT SOMETIMES DUE TO STUDENTS ERROR. I SHARED THIS LAST SEMESTER BUT STILL, MANY DIDN'T OBSERVE IT.

(i) WRITE YOUR MATRIC NUMBER BOLDLY ON EVERY PAGES OF YOUR ANSWER SHEET, WHETHER YOU ARE USING EVERYTHING OR NOT.
(ii) DO NOT BE MISTAKEN IN WRITING YOUR MATRIC NUMBER AND DO NOT CANCEL, GET A 150 NAIRA CORRECTION PEN(TIPPEX THAT LOOKS LIKE A PEN), IT WILL HELP YOUR WORK TO BE NEAT

3) DISCIPLINE YOURSELF TILL THE EXAMS ARE OVER! THIS IS ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY AND YOU DONT WISH TO REGRESS WHEN OTHERS PROGRESS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF FAILURE.

I HAVE A HOUSE, BUT WHEN ITS EXAM TIME, I CAN COUNT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DAYS I SLEPT AT HOME BECAUSE MY HOUSE ALWAYS MAKE ME RELAX TOO MUCH. MOST TIMES I SLEEP AT PLACE OF WORK WHERE THERE IS NO MATTRESS TO SLEEP. I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO DO SAME, YOU MAY NOT COPE... BUT DISCIPLINE YOURSELF, DONT GO INTO THE EXAM HALL, ASKING OTHER STUDENTS FOR HELP, A LADY IMPLICATED ME THIS PAST SEMESTER AND THOUGH I HAD SEEN MY RESULT ON THE COURSE, WHICH WAS FINE, THAT LITTLE OCCURRENCE COST ME A FORTUNE THAT DAY. I HAD TO SHOW SOME APPRECIATION TO THE INVIGILATORS THAT HELPED ME BEG THE SUPERVISOR WITH 500 NAIRA EACH. THAT IS A WHOPPING 1000 NAIRA. YOU MAY THINK ITS SMALL MONEY BUT ITS ACTUALLY BIG.
I PAID FOR NOT MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS, FOR FORGETTING TO OBSERVE MY POLICIES, FOR TRYING TO HELP. MEANWHILE, SHE CONTINUED WITH HERS WHILE MINE WAS COLLECTED AND SUBMITTED AUTOMATICALLY, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER I WAS THROUGH OR NOT.

4)NEVER EVER, IN YOUR LIFE TRY TO CUT ANY PART OF THE ANSWER SHEET OUT. I SAW A GUY DO THIS LAST SEMESTER, HE CONFESSED HE WOULD USE IT TO SNEAK IN ANSWERS FOR NEXT COURSE BUT A DISCIPLINED LECTURER WILL THROW HIS SCRIPT AWAY IF HE DISCOVERS A LEAF IS TORN SOMEWHERE.

THERE IS A WAY YOU EVEN TEAR A LEAF OUT WITHOUT SOMEONE ELSE KNOWING, TEARING FROM THE MARGIN AREA AND NOT FROM THE CENTRE, BUT BOTH ARE DANGEROUS. DONT TRY ANY.

5) NUMBER ALL YOUR WORK CORRECTLY! YOU MAY HAVE 6 QUESTIONS, AND YOU ARE TO ANSWER FOUR. YOU TICK OUT THE BEST FOUR YOU COULD ATTEMPT WELL OUT ON THE QUESTION PAPER.

6)ANSWER THE ONES YOU UNDERSTAND MOST OUT OF THOSE FOUR FIRST, BUT WRITE OUT THEIR NUMBERS BOLDLY ON THE TOP OF THE PAGE YOU ARE USING FOR THE QUESTION.
DO NOT FORGET TO ALSO LIST OUT THE NUMBERS ANSWERED ON THE FRONT PAGE ORDERLY(ACCORDING TO HOW YOU HAVE ANSWERED THEM)

7) DONT EVER THINK OF SOLVING SOMEWHERE FIRST BEFORE TRANSFERRING ONTO YOUR ANSWER SHEET. TIME IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! SOLVE DIRECTLY IN THE ANSWER SHEET, RULE WITH JUST ONE VERTICAL LINE, ANY WORK YOU WANT TO CANCEL OUT.

GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE!

Notice to those who registered EDU216!!!

The course is not examinable. All you have to do is to write a lesson plan and take it to your center. Prepare any topic of your choice base on your discipline. Am a student too, I got this info too because initially I was confused too. So just do that and prepare for presentation and u will be graded.

Copied!

REPORT OF THE INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH THE DIRECTOR OF LAGOS STUDY CENTRE HELD TODAY AT THE CENTRE, V.I

It will be recalled that an Interactive Session with the Lagos Study Center Director scheduled to hold today 31st October 2018 was announced on the school website.

The said Interactive Session which was successfully held today at the Student Conference Hall directly adjacent the Faculty of Social Science was opened with a brief remark by the Centre Director at exactly 11:30 pm, thirty minutes later than scheduled

The Session had in attendance all Faculty Heads and Examiners, and also roughly 300 students

The Centre Director, after the brief opening remark, in his words emphatically passed across to the students as follows:

➡"Students who are a minute late to the exam will not be permitted to enter the exam hall"

➡"Students are to dress decently to the exam hall"

➡"Students are to talk politely to the school staff in exam hall irrespective of the challenges you find yourself"

➡"Students must conduct themselves in decorum during and after exam"

➡"Mothers with children are to conduct their children"

➡"Come to the exam hall with the original copy of your Agreement Form"

➡"It is compulsory you come with your Student I.D Card and Exam Registration Slip"

➡"For those that did not make payment but use the hacking system to borrow fund from the portal. You are advised to go and pay now as e-wallet slip will be attached to registration slip"

⤵MISSING RESULT

↗"If your Matric No. falls short of a digit or written incorrectly at the exam, then you don't have result"

↗Further states that, "No university will ever keep your result for any reason"

↗"If you have registered for the semester exam and you are indisposed to write the exam, kindly write to the Study Centre Director. Then you wouldn't have to pay for another registration fee the next semester"

QUESTION TIME ⬇

Q1. Student: "What if the exam hall is filled up ?"

Ans. Director: "Exam Hall space not an issue, if you are 30 mins late to the exam, then you won't be allowed to enter"

Q2. Student: "Sir, we registered for 9 courses and yet we were given 1 material, please how do we read well for such exam ?"

Ans. Director: "We paid 350,000 dollars annually to put the portal in place"

Course materials are not paid for by students, hence if you are able to get any, it's just a privilege

Stresses further, "I will not tolerate any corruption in Lagos Study Centre"

"Download the course materials and print yourself"

"If you don't have it and you failed, then its your choice"

Q3. Student: "Sir some of us who changed study centre are still having issues, please sort us out ?"

Ans. Director: "I personally signed out about 15 students transfer to McCarthy Study Center, two weeks later, they still transfer back here. Jumping from pillar to pole"

"We must not change Study Centre 4 weeks to exam, except paramilitary students"

Q4. Student: "NYSC pending bill, what is NOUN doing about it ?"

Ans. Director: "Letters of Exclusion is still on for now. NYSC are scared of the number of NOUN students"

"In as much your Exclusion Letter is not fake, then you can use it anywhere"

Q5. Student: "Tma answer being marked wrong even when it's right, please help us out sir"

Ans. Director: "We are sorry about this and we will look into it"

Q6. Student: "Malfunction of GST Courses, what do we do sir ?"

Not opportuned to address due to time constrain

Q7. Student: "We need a reliable source of information, pls do something sir ?"

Not opportuned to address due to time constrain

However, while responding to some random questions, the Center Director stressed in his words that "Portal cannot be reopened after closure

And while also responding to a specific question responding to a specific question regarding Jamb says, "If we ask for Jamb, 50% of our students will not be here"

After the Question and Answer segment of the Interactive Session, the Director concluded by stating, "We promise to cooperate with you as we hope you also cooperate with us"

The Interactive Session was brought to a close at exactly 12:30pm with students still pregnant with myriad of questions begging to be asked, but rather half satisfied with the info filled Interactive Session.

Have a beautiful night ahead greatest NOUNITES
