COMMUNITIES DONATE BUILDINGS TO NOUN FOR STUDY CENTRE..

A high-powered team from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), comprising the DVC (Admin), Prof. Victor Adedipe, Prof.Greg Okagbare, and Prof. Mercy Ogunsola-Bandele, was in Kisi and Okeho, two communities in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State on Thursday to see the possibility of establishing a study centre there.

The team toured the areas following a continous clamour by the communities for the establishment of study centres.

Oke-Ogun region, housing Kisi and Okeho towns, is one of the 5 geographical distributions of the people of Oyo State.

The traditional leadership of the two communities met with the NOUN team and showcased the facilities put in place to realize the dream of having their respective study centres.

Kisi town showcased three blocks of building, comprising 2 halls and 15 adjoining rooms to serve as offices and facilitation rooms.

They cited bad roads and long distances as some of the factors people of the areas have to contend with to access quality education at the Ibadan Study Centre, which has been serving the entire state.

To access education at the Ibadan Study Centre, the people of Kisi and Okeho communities cover 190km and 95km respectively to get to Ibadan and same distances while returning.

These, according to them, are enough reasons to dampen the spirit of the people in the quest for quality education.

Yeah! The ICT guys are on it...

NOTICE

Semester registration fee has been rectified

It is now 18,000 for returning students...

The 17,000 that was erroneously deducted has been refunded back to the students portal, check yours if affected.

UPDATE!!!

Registration has not fully started so it advisable you don't pay yet, if you have made payment just hold on don't do any registration yet cos of the issue of 36000/35000 appearing for some returning student as their compulsory fee instead of 18000..

Make sure you do your portal registartion well and don't make mistake with your password, some students can't login to their portal now because of such, if you are not so sure doing it yourself, give it to some who know better and appreciate the person in your own way it saves you stress cos reset of password has not yet started according to students who went to their various study centre for reset.

You don't need to make any payment to check your result all you need is just the portal registartion.

AliEsq:
as returnig student am to pay 18000 but am seeing 35000 including orientation fees etc why?

If you register now your 35k will be deducted instead of 18k, so please suspend the registration for now...

Note!

Hello fellow nouites note that remita now accept VAT of #157.50.. please add it to your payment to avoid unnecessary confusion.

toask111:
Thank you.

Why am I seeing #35, 000 has total amount for registration in stead of #18k when I'm not a new student?

Pls Suspend it for now. There seem to be a BUG on the portal or the school has increased her fee without informing us.

We will be clear with the situation by Monday. Work still ongoing on the portal.

Update on portal

Only semester registration is active as at this moment and some students are having 36000/35000 as their compulsory fee instead of 18000

Course and exam registration is not yet active

It is advisable that you hold on with the payment till all are active

On incomplete result I will advise that if you are sure you did all you ought to do you should wait for sometime on it but if you are sure you didn't do the necessary just register them again once registration starts.

JUST IN

Those having "I" as grade on their result should please hold on .

Updated result coming soon .

Accountant-General of the Federation, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, facing a battery of professors in defence of his application as MPhil/PhD student in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) on Tuesday, 15th January 2019. The defence, both oral and written, lasted two hours.

JUST IN

```Morning all, there z dis trend “*INCOMPLETE* “ on all students results ...I was made to understand that they r still loading d results gradually, n u guys should b patient for 5-7 working days n u get ur results ```
Good morning all
2018/02 that 2018 second semester results are out but with it own issue *Incomplete* this is the new slang NOUN is introducing to it portal.
Causes of "I" *incomplete* are:
1, when you register a course and you dropped it.
2.) When you didn't complete your TMA.
3.) When you wrote the TMA but did not write the exam.
To a large extent the school don't want to be leaving registered course out of result page so that it will not be seen as missing result so they decided to introduce the Incomplete remark
This current semester has been the semester so far result will be out before registration starts it an added advantage to students so what are the next step to take.
Before you do this semester registration, do a good analysis of your result and do the needful and not what is required make sure you registered your missing result and if you are sure of why you are having a incomplete result register those courses again.
This semester don't waste your course credit units make sure you register all you can by using left units for some of these courses you are having issue.
