About 5years ago, it was speculated Mr Ibu was paid about 80million by GOtv for ambassadorship. And also GLO, about 20-30million. Same with Chiwetalu Agu and some other aging Nollywood stars. Amaechi Muonago had series of advert he got paid for and other contracts, not adding up the pay as an actor.

The question I have asked myself a thousand times is where are all the monies? The deal, the contract etc! Where did they bury it. I am ashamed on behalf of these actors each time they are sick and they appear online for help. Like, what in the blue-hell happened to all they have earned all through the years? Even people who don't get paid half of what they are paid take care of their health when it is worse. And I ask, did they use the money to train their kids? Fine, their kids should be taking care of them. Or was it house rent? Like, they had no investment with all the millions they are paid? Today, Natty Bruce, the Karat Nollywood karate king died too. Report came he died from the said hardship that has ravaged the Nollywood legends: sickness.

We have had Clem Ohameze came online to beg for help while sick. Ernest Asuzu suffered liver disease and died even after been helped online. James, Obi Madubugwu and the list so long have all come online for help and many of them couldn't still make it. The question is, are these men not being paid enough to save and invest against those terrible times? Even the ones paid in millions. What happened to the money? Please don't get me wrong. Emeka Chochoo, the former manager of actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has disclosed the reason one of the actor’s legs was amputated.

He said the amputation became necessary because of an infection of the arteries at the ankle that was not detected early enough.

PUNCH reports Monday that the actor has had seven successful surgeries, including an amputation of one of hi’s legs.

However, speaking with our correspondent in a phone interview on Thursday, Chochoo confirmed that the actor was responding to treatment.

“I was with him up until yesterday. I worked as Mr Ibu’s manager for over a decade.

“He is responding well to treatment; he is gradually healing.

“The doctors are treating everything one after the other. What led to the amputation of one of his legs was an infection that affected one of the arteries at the ankle.

“Blood wasn’t flowing into the leg, which was not detected on time. When it was, it had become too late, causing the doctors to decide on the amputation.

Chochoo also stated that the surgery was done in Nigeria, but the actor will soon be flown abroad for further treatment.

“The surgery was done in Nigeria. He will soon be flown out of the country for further treatment but for now, he is being cared for in Nigeria.”

She has made a loss but she goes further to buy a plastic bag for you to pack the two items you have just bought.

You order her to hurry up otherwise you may change your mind. She apologises and with a smile, she gives you the items and she blesses you for patronizing her.

You literally throw the Money at her and you sped away leaving behind a cloud of smoke and dust which causes a bit of discomfort to her and the Baby. She is coughing while securing her little Money. Her poverty has left her with no choice.

You have now arrived at the 5-Star Restaurant where you are to meet friends and you ask them to order Food and Drinks of their choice.

They order expensive food and the leftovers are more than the food they have eaten.

The total bill is N65,000 and you pay without bargaining, you gave a tip of N5,000 appreciating the Waiter for a delicious meal....which you didn't eat even half of.

This incident might seem quite normal to you but it's inhumane...!!!

Please buy simple goods from the poor people at high prices....do it deliberately.

Sometimes, pay extra for the items you buy from poor Women...you are only blessing them in your little way.

Please where possible buy items from local markets.

To everyone reading this, please, everytime you see them in traffic, taxi parks, bus stops, on the streets....just buy!

Don't bargain. They are not looking for money to buy expensive clothes or mansions or cars, but to feed their children back home and pay school fees.
