Politics / Re: Did Obama Really Propose To Fund The MNTF To The Tune Of $5 Billion? by anulaxad(m): 12:16pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
Lies, lies, lies, and more lies. Why on earth would America give 5 billion dollars to this task. 5 billion dollars is more than every other country surrounding Nigeria's annual budget. People are so gullible. America is going to put down 5 million dollars in the funding for the joint task team. Not 5 BILLION people are so gullible. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-africa-33118885 If you scroll down on that page you will see this: The US says that it is providing $5m (£3.2m) of funding for the multi-national task force that has been set up to fight Boko Haram in north-east Nigeria and elsewhere in the region. 4 Likes |

LAfricana: The question is, have you been taught history. The same Abiola who's whole agenda was based on ridding poverty. He's manifesto was called 'farewell to poverty'. He was born into a very rich and influential family, hence why many Nigerians trusted him not to steal, the same reason why many Nigerians voted Yarua Adua. Did Yarua steal? No. He was voted by all groups, cultures, religions and people of Nigeria. A man who loved this country so much that he stood his ground in Jail instead of being a coward and giving the head of state rights to Abacha. Get a grip of yourself. |
Politics / Re: SW APC Must Stop Blaming Other People For Their Foolshiness by anulaxad(m): 10:34am On Jun 11, 2015 |
RevDesmondJuju: To begin, what is the point your trying to get out with. We recently just learnt Tinubu just blamed Buhari of the victory of Saraki. So who is really scared. You spew so much trash and hateful comments, but one of your own Jonathan ruled this country for an amazing 6 Years with the highest amount of oil allocation this country has ever seen , and what tangeble development did we get from him. The man left us with an oil scarcity, he left us with 63 billion dollars debt and worse of all he left us without curbing the insurgency. Obasanjo left with clearing our debts, he left with no insurgency plaguing the country or fuel scarcity, the average nigerian was paying 60 naira or less with the government still paying subsidy, so who really are you trying to call Southwest; more like jonawaste. Control your mouth, because I know for a fact especially if you live in Lagos that you can never get away with such vile comments. 1 Like |

Bobbystanley: Is that so? I am not a bigot or ignorant tribalist as you, but what states in your region have produced as much successful people like Ogun: Obafemi Awolowo, Olusegun Obasanjo, Yemi Osinbajo, Wole Soyinka, MKO Abiola shall I go on or have you had enough. I'm not a bigot at all, but all I saw on nairaland was the so called 'Biafrans' blaming the northerners. Now tell me what do you see? She possibly couldn't be a northerner. I think as Nigerians we need to put this habit of passing blame of something as draconian as this onto a WHOLE race, as for right now today we all Nigerian. Simple. 8 Likes |

Ymodulus: I don't need to insult, your ignorance is insulting enough. To begin,it can be too overwhelming for older siblings and parents to go to the funeral as it is expected in Yoruba tradition that the younger family members will live longer than the elders. The pain and grieve can be so much that it can cause many problems, hence parents are not allowed to visit or know their child's burial site and while older siblings are advised not to attend the funeral. 1 Like |

Nonsense. They are simply put Yoruba. Whoever made this was looking to cause tension and problems in the Yoruba community. Yourbas are known for their untribalistic and unbigoted behaviour, so I urge this nonesense to stop right now. Every single 'Ijebu' I know (Including both my parents) does not share this bigoted view. They are not a tribe, yes they have their own dialect which 80% of Ijebus do not understand (they all however speak English and normal Yoruba) but are clearly not a tribe. 3 Likes |

cold: Are you mentally incapable of understanding what I was trying to express, have they taught you an english technique called hyperbole , alright you may not understand what hyperbole is; a simpler version of this technique is called a methaphor. Let me explain in simpler terms for you to comprehend, It brought out an element of surprise and deepened furiosity something I didn't realise I could feel hence the reference to something being dug up from the dead, a feeling that I thought didn't exist in me, I mean looking at that hotel strangely enough brought out this rage and furiosity that I didn't know I had or was capable of. 2 Likes |

funkybully: , my goodness you killed me with laughter. Reminded completely of my childhood, indeed Yorubas rain abuses on their children for little issues, but only so that their children will develop a more efficient type of resistance against indiscipline. But I do agree with Gwabe, as before being a Yoruba woman, she is indeed a Nigerian, and respect wasn't given, and to be blatantly honest Jamaicans are probably the most uncivilized, most trouble making products of this entire universe. The create trouble out of nothing; I know this from personal experience( repeatedly) . |

gohome: You accuse people of ignorance, but are you really reading what you are saying. How can you write and claim so much illegitimate information, can you imagine, How is India, UK and Brazil producing more oil than Nigeria. I will not waste your time, take a look:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_oil_production But if that wasn't bad enough, you are telling people that they will have to pay higher once they remove subsidy ( how many average Nigerians can even afford oil at 87 Naira talkless of 200 ), what will they be paying for as the refineries do not work, so this leaves the question what oil will Nigerians be using . In simple words,no refinery as of right now is working, Buhari has to fix these refineries and if he can get them working at maximum capacity Nigerians can enjoy their products at an ever so low price (according to you) of 87 naira and possibly lower as Buhari as recently hinted. 3 Likes |

OK, so what major criminals have they persercuted since, or are they just embezzling funds themselves. Nuhu Ribadu was not ignorant when he was creating this organization, but he indeed failed to see what would come next of something that was scaring every politician left, right and center during OBJ'S time; even OBJ's daughter was investigated. They have failed ever since to present a proper case to the courts. We, the people, must know where all the funds have diverted into. |

owobokiri: God will bless you, I was about to quote this racist ignoramus and use exactly the same arguments with China and Libya. China until this day is the only country in the security council of which has not built its own aircraft carrier. Libya, is a very deep topic, a man (Gadaffi) who brought water to all his people, his spent millions building the largest irrigation project the world has ever seen, it has connected every part of Libya, city or desert, giving them access to water. If Libya had these weapons which NATO or western organization would have invaded the paradise formerly known as Libya. 1 Like |
