fortyishcouga: Since I am one of the people with that mindset, here is what I believe my kids stand to benefit: 1. Access to better healthcare 2. Lower crime rate (this is why I prefer countries like Canada and Netherlands) 3. Better opportunities ( with the way Nigeria's population continues to explode versus its low rate of economic development, I see job availability/security getting exponentially worse in the future). Nigeria is Shiiiithole. |

FreeStuffsNG: It is obvious, you do not understand me if you really think with this law you will now get that provisional license as easy as you got it. You are confusing a time when there is no law forbiding an action to when there is now a national law against it Are they the same? Do you really know the implication of a law that criminalises what you do even if you are yet to be prosecuted and convicted?
I have laid it out to you where intervention will come is at the provisional license stage and if you truly have gone through it then you will not suggest that without provisional licence you can still go overseas. And this is the real part of the law that address the "overwise", the law will peescribe that if you flout the law , it will make you liable to conviction. Please did you also go through the training with a criminal conviction record?
I have maintained that the law will come in between the oath taking and taking your full license and you are just confirming it so I do not get your opening line. Once you get the provisional license is not even the real issue, the issue is just jetting out as a fresh medical graduate with no provisional license and even if you jet out with provisional license, the law now makes you liable. So many areas the govt will effect this law you know govt can but not willing to admit it and I am not willing to even disclose further to avoid unnecessary argument. After God na Govt o. We know as e dey go as always. H*** g* t**** y*** ****. |
Health › Re: Bill To Prevent Medical Doctors From Getting Licence Till After 5 Years by Anunakeeh: 12:55pm On Apr 07, 2023 |
omohayek: While I'm sure that is the intended effect, I doubt it will work out like that in practice.
For one thing, it will accelerate the departure of all the doctors who already in the pipeline and will be qualified before the bill passes.
The next factor to consider is that many medical students will still have the means and opportunity to proceed abroad to wealthy countries where they can train and qualify, except now they can simply rule out ever returning to Nigeria. The bill therefore shrinks the pool of possible medical practitioners, particularly in fields where the necessary expertise can only be acquired abroad. How many world-class surgeons from places like America's Mayo Clinic are going to leave behind their cushy careers to work as mere trainees in Nigeria, no matter how much they might wish to return home?
The final thing to note is the impact this will have on the number of students who will opt for medicine in the future. Anyone intelligent enough to consider medicine is also smart enough to realize that to the extent this bill actually works, it makes becoming a doctor a much less attractive prospect, and they'd be better off switching to fields where no such restrictions are in place, and qualifications are equally portable (e.g. computer science or engineering).
This is just another example of ignorant Nigerian politicians passing populist legislation that restricts trade, not caring about the inevitable consequences which will result. This mentality is why a petroleum-exporting country has no working refineries and suffers perennial fuel shortages, and it is why power supply has languished at the same capacity for decades even as brand-new power-generating stations lie idle. Passing laws restricting the options of private citizens has never worked to increase the availability of any goods or services, whether we're talking food price controls or restraints on newly qualified doctors.
The right way to get Nigerian doctors to stick around is to make medical practice in Nigeria more attractive, by devoting more financial resources to health (and to primary care in particular), but Nigerians are so blinded by the "awuff" mentality that they would rather pass useless, economy-distorting restrictions rather than actually paying what the market demands for what they want, never mind decades of failure going down this route. What would one expect when bloody illiterate fools are at the helms of power🥴 |

I once discovered something shocking in this our world which made me Cringed.
The thing is "Our world is a means of "Good & Evil" Nature doesn't know what good or evil is. We Humans are the ones interpreting it that way due to the way we were programmed.
But mind you karma is real, Whatever energy you send out will surely comes back to you. So everything is up to you.
And If you notice, You will realize most of the wealthy/rich people in the world are Brave and Fearless people. They like to take Huge and High risks with very high Rewards. They don't usually care about Repercussion or Whatsoever because they know better.
So tell me, How many Poor people have you seen taking Huge and High Risks?? |

pansophist: I like when others validate my stance with external sources. I just watched the video, and yes, the guy just extended what I am saying. Being wealthy has its rules, and if you play to it, you will end up there.
It's basically a thing of ¨cause and effect¨. If I have hot water and garri, then it is not magic that I will get eba. If you have a product or services the world needs, if you can meet the increasing demands of such services, it's not magic, you will be forking wealthy.
Just as MC Oluomo keeps supplying agberos to all his junctions to collect money daily from commercial drivers, his wealth will keep going up. He is always meeting the demands of the market. There is no morality here. It's pure input and output.
A simple assignment anyone can do right now is to think of all the wealthy people you know and try to determine if they are wealthy because they have few customers. You will see that they have a huge customer base.
Like musicians, the richest are those with more views on youtube, more album sales, and more global tours, while the poorest musician are the local ones that have only their girlfriends as their followers on Instagram.
So to make money, pursue the crowd. Cover more people and give your service to them. I remember when dominos first came to Nigeria, now they have closer to two hundred branches. So yea. All these are just Stories without substance. More like you are just scratching the surface lol. Any average intelligent person knows all these things you outlined. But the REALITY on the FIELD is always different. Only if you knew the amount of humans lives MC and his dad balablu have wasted and rendered unfortunate in life to get to where they are today. And yet they are still engaging in this brutal and merciless acts till tomorrow. I don't even want to talk of how heavily they are Spiritually Inclined. That's a rabbit hole to dive In. Tell me how many people that has the mind to go such route. Even some people have the Mind but they don't have the Connections, Supports, etc. Wealth can never be created in Nigeria by just being "Prudent, smart, consistent, and hardworking alone." You must have this brutality and cunning ways of life which you would mask. Don't let anyone deceive you. Aren't you aware the Inventors of Viruses are also the people who Sells the Cure for the Viruses. I know sure Hundreds of Ways to get wealthy, But putting them to work in Reality is where the challenges lies. |

Iyenogie30: I have come to realise that some of the active noise makers on this trend are actually jobless
Because how do you have a job and have all the time to be replying every single message and creating conflicts up and down
Some they are not buyers neither are they sellers , them go just come dey form Wikipedia on top electronics
This be like bend down select market ,come buy and go .
Reduce the noise and let focus on buying and selling
If you are jobless, use the time you spend here to look for a job or think of something meaningful you can do .
Please Stop the unsolicited noise..lahor Baseless Assumption from a blockhead typical black man. Am I surprised? No absolutely. Osmondinho: Going through the thread, you will have a peek of the mind of average Nigerian; cunning, selfish & untrustworthy, like leaders like fellowers; dealers in ignorance, can only make a living from the ignorance of another person.
Why angry because someone dropped an honest review of a product(s) she/he used that didn't meet expectations, which 3-4 people have corroborated their claims? Are you Hisense/Comfy marketer or a shareholder? The best thing you can do is to draw the attention of the manufacturers to these reviews, maybe they will improve the quality or educate their customers on their products not fighting honest reviewers.
Go to foreign websites & see crazy reviews; these guys go as far as reporting to their regulating agencies & get those products recalled. Brazil highest court forced Apple to recall their iPhones without chargers after complaints from customers. Same with cars, earphones & even televisions have been recalled due to customers complaints.
Naija own should not be different: we must demand for quality products. On that note, stay away from anything itel - phones powerbanks, earphones etc.
#Peace You Nailed it. Welldone. But your last paragraph with regards to Itel. A lot of Average/Poor Nigerians are their biggest patronizers. And we all know the Average/Poor People are those who usually makes the large Population percentage of any nation In the World. Most Nigerian Average/Poor People can't afford those Quality Products unlike other Developed Nations. The developed Nations made Quality Products affordable for their Average/Poor Citizens. But I believe they (Itel) are trying even though It's clear to techy and well informed people like Us that their products are substandard. The Nigeria Average/Poor have no choice Whatsoever. There Is so much POVERTY/IGNORANCE in the Land. Happy New Week. #C.h.e.e.r.s |

GloriousGbola: i have kids who are already more competent than you.
my 15 year old son regularly assists me in upgrading devices at home. he can take apart the corsair one pro [ bought 1500 usd verus 4k brand new ) ] he already understand the risks the poor quality nonsense you love to celebrate poses .
the other day he was complaining about how the colour pencils sold in a shop were obvious imitations. his mind is set that any colour pencils he buys now - will be direct from office r us. [he makes money selling art to classmates, so he already understands how low quality items distort the final product ] .
i talk to him regularly about the importance of going the extra mile and not settling for being mediocre - and how that is what will rally make you successful in any endeavor.
so he is already on the way to being a competent, intelligent shrewd adult - which is more than can be said about you - a bitter bile filled underachieving stalker

Go to the market especially alaba, CV, this happens frequently.. Why let another man buy sumtin dt he will regret bcox you don't want to spoil the hustle of the seller..
We keep repeating same cycle... Unfortunately, This is how Most Business People in Nigeria makes their Normal/Massive daily earnings. It's just very unfortunate. |

GloriousGbola: Your average dubious Nigerian seller hates reviews of any kind.
Because his market is ignorance of the customer.
It is unfortunately how too many Nigerians make money.
Sell you an inferior product at market price and then start telling you story when the item fails.
There is a solar thread where someone paid over 250k for an industrial stabiliser that failed within a week.
In the course of the discussions that followed, it turned out the stabiliser is a generic alibaba product sold by multiple vendors under different names. And the device will fail once it is used at above 50% of the labelled capacity.
So now someone has lost 250k, and more importantly is losing time and energy trying to resolve the issue of a dubious hustler masquerading as a business
It says far more about the lack of character of the average Nigerian if they are triggered by free technical advise.
Most of the best advise I have gotten was for free on reddit threads. But those are oyibos after all, not Nigerians who have been cursed with a poverty mentality that will ensure they remain poor. I have carefully gone through your recent posts on this thread. I give kudos to you. I don't really have much strength to type tonight. But believe me, I perfectly understood all your insinuations and you are spot on. The Fact Is Nigerians generally don't want people like you. I have perfectly studied the kind of people whom Nigerians are and the kind of system they are practicing for good 35years. Your enemy won't get anywhere or amount to anything meaningful in the kind of system Nigeria is practicing if you identify yourself physically. Check Machiavelli quotes. It's just very unfortunate that "Most Nigerians" regardless of their Social Status will continue to wallow in Penury, Ignorance, Wickedness, Mediocrity, Greediness etc. The menace is deeply rooted. |
